I am on a path to become a nurse midwife, and am a certified nursing assistant. I have a lot of respect for hospital nurses, doctors and midwives and am inspired by working alongside them. In hospitals, I provide consistent support that is often not able to be provided by hospital staff. I will help my clients to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

Rachael is sweet, smart, and full-of-love. She delivered above-and-beyond doula support to help us tap into our strengths for the birth and postpartum experience we strived to attain.

Our prepartum meetings were full of love and understanding. She helped put us on the right path to discovering who we were as upcoming new parents and what we wanted to accomplish for the birth and postpartum experience. With her essential questionnaires and home-cooked meals, she wooed us into believing in the power we have as a couple, and as a growing new family.

She helped set the right fence posts for us as we tried to sketch out what a positive birth experience meant for us. She brings rich expertise and deep understanding to every encounter so you feel confident in the questions you’re asking and peace-of-mind for the answers you’re receiving. You can ask her anything and she doesn’t bat an eye or try to sway you. She meets you where you are, and it makes you feel right at home.

To say she has a bevy of tips/tricks for the room where you’ll give birth is an understatement. She’s constantly tapping into new learnings and experiences that help her give her best to you. Positions, breathing, essential oils, music, baths, and everything in between; trust that she has you covered more than you could’ve imagined.

She has your back—and then some. She effectively communicates your wishes even if you can’t, and keeps you abreast of what you need to know from the birthing room. Never providing too much info to worry, never leaving you hanging with any questions.

She shines just as bright during postpartum, helping make the transition home as seamless as possible. Your pets and loved ones will end up adoring her as much as you do.

We feel extremely blessed to have a friend and supporter in Rachael, and stoked that our baby boy was ushered in with her love on full display.

I’m so glad I chose Rachael Walters to be my doula. This was my second pregnancy and it was important that I find a doula I could connect with. I was determined to have a healthy pregnancy and a VBAC. Rachael took the time to listen with genuine kindness and respect to all of my thoughts, wishes and fears. My first child’s delivery was a pretty awful experience that I never truly grieved or dealt with. Having Rachael really helped me process and validate my first labor experience  ( where I had no doula ) She helped me feel empowered in my experience no matter which way it went. She always had the best resources and suggestions for me & she helped eased a lot of my stress during pregnancy. I became single right around the time we first met. She made it to one of my labor massage classes as my stand in partner and she also came with me to the hospital when I had to get an ECV because baby was breech at 37 weeks. ( luckily my baby flipped on her own that morning!)  When it came time for actual labor, she helped me achieve my goal of a pain medication free labor at home during early labor and assisted me in the hospital during my active labor. In the end, I made the call to have another csection but Rachael was there as my cheerleader to support me in that decision, allowing me to feel empowered not disappointed. After I had my baby, I had her encapsulate my placenta which I feel helped tremendously with healing and postpartum feels. Racheal became a true support person for me during an extremely lonely and vulnerable time. She kept me feeling excited even when I was feeling low and I’m forever grateful. You will not regret hiring Rachael to be your doula!

My wife and I had our first child in February, and it was an incredible experience. Rachael was a big reason why. We had met with other doulas but had not formed a connection in interviews. However, upon meeting Rachael both my wife and I knew she was the right person to help us through the pregnancy.

Throughout it she went above and beyond, to the point that I often felt bad that we were going over guidelines of the contract we had. She seemed not to care but to only be focused on the needs of my wife and upcoming child. It was incredible relief to both of us to have someone like her to get us through it.

At the birth, Rachael was amazing. She worked tirelessly for ten hours straight never leaving our side. The physical and emotional support was amazing! There is literally not enough I can say to emphasize how important she was to us at the birth and the weeks after.

We now have a health baby boy, who loves when Rachael comes and visit him. If Rachael ends up being your doula, you will not be disappointed. She is a tireless advocate and a wonderful person whose knowledge and care will help make your pregnancy special.

My husband and I received a referral to Rachael from a friend. We met with her while I was in my second trimester and quickly knew that we wanted her to be part of our birth story!

Rachael was incredibly helpful and supportive during my pregnancy, available to answer questions when we were faced with baby challenges and decisions surrounding the birth. We met with her multiple times to get to know each other and talk through our plans. Also, she provided great support via phone/text/email in between our visits.

Despite our best efforts to encourage our baby to turn around with natural and medical interventions, she remained in the breach position and we ended up scheduling a c-section. We were unsure what a doula's invovlement would like in this scenario. Rachael was super flexible and walked us through her experiences as a doula at a c-section and provided so much moral support during this exciting but challenging time.

When the time came, Rachael was right by our side at the hospital, joining us in the operating room as our baby was brought into the world. Her positive energy and support were so appreciated, especially when I didn't feel well. After some skin-to-skin time, my husband took our baby as I was feeling quite ill. When his focus turned to her, Rachael was there to comfort me - rubbing my head and helping me breath through it all. It really helped me push through the nausea so I was able to hold my baby again. Following the birth, she helped us get settled in our room before heading out to encapsulate my placenta. The pills were ready and waiting for me at home when we returned from the hospital.

Our healthy, happy baby girl was born in October 2018 and we were incredibly grateful to have Rachael as our doula. We found the experience of working with her to be highly valuable and, more importantly, we found her to be a lovely, genuine, kind soul!

Working with Rachael was an absolute dream! She is warm, compassionate, smart, and invested. Our prenatal appointments were long and thorough. Rachael really took the time to get to know me, my partner, and our 2 year old son. In the weeks leading up to my birth, she was wonderful about checking in to see how I was doing and even came over with some essential oils when I hurt my back! I had a very fast birth and Rachael helped me to stay as calm as possible and reassured me when my confidence started to waver. She’s extremely knowledgable about counter pressure techniques and positions to better support labor. I don’t know how I could have done it without her!

I also highly recommend Rachael’s postpartum services. They are invaluable! Those first weeks with a newborn can be crazy and it was so nice to have another set of hands as well as a listening ear.

She‘s the best!

Rachael has been a wonderful doula for us! We decided to get a doula late in pregnancy and she squeezed in two prenatal visits before my due date. It was very comforting to have her at the hospital during labor and she was the one who realized that I was pushing before the nurses, she is so knowledgeable! She took pictures for us of the birth that were great and there were lots of little touches that made us feel cared for.

We also used her as a postpartum doula for nighttime care and she was great!

Rachel was an amazing doula! I met with Rachel when I was 8 months pregnant and looking for a doula for my 3rd baby (and 2nd VBAC). I knew right away she was the right person to support me through the birth of my baby girl. During my labor Rachel was calming and suportive. She was everything I needed. Both my hubby and I were so happy to have her there to help. She helped me to stay focused when I needed to stay focused and kept me distracted when I needed to be disctracted. She was absolutely amazing in every possible way. I am so beyond happy that we chose her to be a part of our baby girls birth.

Thank you Rachel!

Racheal is one of the sweetest most caring people I know! She was always responsive and on top of our needs, her communication is stellar, and she's great with our kids! We had the pleasure of pre and postnatal care as my birth was extremely fast and she was unable to attend. Her knowledge and confidence led me to believe that she would have been exceptional had she been able to be there though! I would highly recommend her to anyone that was looking for a doula!
