Unwavering Support. Those are the words that best decribe my doula experience with Angela. I came to her around 28 weeks pregnant, after meeting with several doulas that didn't fit what I was looking for. She had a warm and understanding vibe about here that really made me feel at peace and I decided that day that I wanted her as my doula. My main reason for wantomg a doula at my birth was because I knew I wanted a natural childbirth, but as a first time mom I was clueless. I was also nervous about my husband as a support person. Angela always came prepared with information for both me and my husband on what to expect the weeks leading up to birth. She also always made herself available for texts and phone calls if all kinds wether they were emotional or just checking in, she also always had answers to all sorts of questions. When I went past my guess date (EDD) she kept me strong, her words of encouragement made it so that I didn't just submit to anything I was told. When I cried because the midwife mentioned induction, she reminded me that it was MY birth and MY baby. It meant the world to me to have someone on my side to express my wishes. She's an advocate for the mother in all ways. On my actual labor date she showed up promptly. She helped me labor at home, cooked for me, had  pads and suggestions of positions to ease the pain. She NEVER left my side. She massaged my back through contractions and reminded me to breathe. She was everything that you would want a doula to be and if I were to ever get pregnant again I would call Angela. She made sure that even with unforeseen circumstances I got the birth I wanted and my husband never felt excluded at any portion of the experience. Thank you Angela for everything, you'll never know how much it meant to me.

I knew right away Angela was the right pick for us! She has a warm, down-to-earth presence about her that made me feel connected immediately. I had 3 main criteria I was looking for in a Doula: 1) Support & encourage me in my pursuit to have an all natural water birth at our Birth Center; 2) Be familiar with pain management techniques to ease labor discomfort; & most importantly 3) Instruct my husband how to support me & be involved through it all! Having Unity as we brought our son into this world was very important to us... after all, it was a family event! Angela fit the bill on all three & MORE. Even though we were scheduled to be her first solo birth, she gave me much confidence as she had 3 children of her own & a big heart for midwifery. After much prep on both our parts (finishing birth class, assembling a Birth Plan & visualization techniques that suited us, a couple meetings to finalize/rehearse D-day)...the day finally arrived! I started labor around 3am & finally reached out to Angela around 5am to let her know our prognosis that my contractions were all around 3min apart. I think I was in denial it was happening that quickly, but after another hour or so with nothing slowing down, I finally told her she was needed. She headed my way & by the time she arrived we had decided to head to the Center 30min away. I was fully dilated upon arrival, got in the tub, & after much pushing & groaning, our beautiful son was born 2 hours later! It all went extremely fast for me & I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in a sort of daze through it all. We didn't get a chance to use all the rebozo techniques, or special oils, etc. However, Angela had a miracle hip squeeze that brought INSTANT relief, my husband was in the tub with me the whole time following instructions & I have many fond moments to look back on (both in memory & visually, as she also took some AMAZING professional photos for us), All thanx to Angela!
