Bethany was a great match for what I needed. She’s so compassionate and sweet. She helped talk me through my past trauma from a previous cesarean so I could focus on a VBAC with confidence. Beth was the best emotional support I could’ve asked for and I would recommend her to anyone 10/10!!

I didn't think I needed a doula until I was already 8 months pregnant. Not that I didn't see the value. I had friends tell me doula services were so worth it- it just wasn't on my radar until the birth was close and I started thinking, "How do I want this to be?" I knew I wanted as few interventions as possible (stay home, no drugs, freedom to walk, the option for a bath or shower and absolutely no c-section). But this is my first baby, and my entire family lives out of state and wouldn't be here for the delivery. My husband would be my primary support, but he knows less than I do.

I did some research and was referred to Beth. She was friendly and accessible. She agreed to meet us at a coffee shop just to chat and decide if we were interested. She asked tons of questions, gave us materials to review, and was reassuring and calm. My husband didn't' really believe a doula would be necessary, but he supported me.

Beth was easy to work with and since I was already 38 weeks along, she was on call as soon as we signed up. Prior to delivery, Beth and I met 2 additional times (at my house and her house) to prepare. She was in her car on the way over without me asking, after I had an appointment and was feeling anxious. We also talked and texted. And when I was unexpectedly induced at 40w6d after a not-perfect biophysical profile test, she was ready to meet us at the hospital as soon as I said the word.

During labor, Beth by our side was crucial. My husband still says he has no idea how he would've made it without her. She was calm, knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging. She helped me try to have the birth I had envisioned. And when bit by bit, my plans gave way to various interventions, she was always telling us, it would work out ok. I could handle this. The baby could handle this. We would make it together. And we did. I am a believer and will tell anyone interested in listening that having Doula Beth at your birth is a gift!

I cannot imagine how I would have adjusted to all of the new responsibilities and hormonal fluctuations without having had Beth as my postpartum doula.  Her compassion and knowledge helped me to feel prepared, capable, and valued at a time when I needed it most.  From planning and setting expectations before my daughter's birth, to figuring out my milk supply, to establishing visiting hours for guests, to maintaining positive mental health, to caring for my daughter, Beth's advice and support were invaluable.  She is truly a baby whisperer, and my daughter and I are blessed to have her in our lives!

I had a great experience with Beth for the birth of my first child in September 2016. I hired her late in my pregnancy but she was very willing to work with me even on short notice. I had a natural birth and I am positive I would not have been able to do it without her help, encouragement, and coaching throughout the process. She was extremely supportive and walked me through every step, and made sure that my wishes were respected. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Beth was amazing! She was so supportive not only during labor and delivery, but throughout the pregnancy and postpartum as well. I loved the personal touch she brought. My husband and I could feel at ease knowing someone with expertise was with us during childbirth.

Beth was my doula for the birth of my third baby, in 2011. She was exquisite. i had struggled through many miscarriages before my successful pregnancies, and she talked me through my fears and did an amazing job of helping me process and work through my emotions surrounding pregnancy and birth. She even helped me shop for baby clothes, which I had been afraid to do. During my labor she cooked for my other children, helped around the house, and generally kept everyone calm and happy. She even hung around for several days afterward, nurturing us all and helping me stay in bed with the new baby so I could rest.

Beth is an amazing woman with a true gift. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. Whether you're giving birth at a hospital, home, or anywhere in between, you will be glad she's there.
