Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
I seek to form collaborative relationships with all hospital staff so as to help the birthing parents feel a sense of team and community.
Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers
I am happy to assist the birthing parents in a birth center setting, and ask to have an opportunity to meet the midwives one time before the birth.
Attends home births? Any Home Birth
I am happy to provide support for labor and delivery at home. I ask that I meet the care provider one time before the delivery.
Heywood Hospital Volunteer Doula
This fee includes an initial consult (no charge), 2 customizable prenatal visits, support via text/phone/e-mail from the time of hiring, 24 hour on-call support starting at 36 weeks, constant support during active labor, initial breastfeeding support after the delivery, and a postpartum visit which can include another breastfeeding consult. The fee also ensures back-up support in the event of my own sickness or unanticipated event that prevents me from being at the birth, or in the event that the labor is prolonged and you need fresh eyes and strong arms to support you!
Barre, MA Service range 50 miles
Lo at Quabbin Birth Services dramatically improved my nursing experience. I had been nursing my son for eighteen months with discomfort and a nipple that cracked often. I had reached out to other lactation consults in the past but had no improvement. Lo gave me great advice that stopped the pain and cracking nipple while nursing. I only wish I had met her sooner!
