I originally hired Brooke as my doula because she used to be a labor and delivery nurse at the hospital I delivered at and because we both had the same Christian faith and values and that was extremely important to me. We also connected on an emotional level. She was calm, collective and sweet which is exactly what I needed during labor. I needed someone calm and to keep me grounded and she did just that and so much more! She seemed to do everything just right at the perfect moment. She read me so well. If I needed an essential oil massage, she did it. If I needed to change positions she helped me get in a different position. We worked together in perfect synchronization. Her and my husband were the key to having my birth the natural way that I wanted. I feel like I gained a best friend after all was done. I truly believe I could not have gone through 26 hours of labor without her by my side. She was an absolute God-send and worth every penny plus more! If you are like me and want or need someone like Brooke, I highly recommend hiring her as a Doula! We LOVE Brooke!

I would wholeheartedly endorse Brooke  her doula services. I spend a lot of time researching doulas and met with several in our area before choosing her. I liked that is an RN who worked in labor and deliverry. I liked that she has four of her own children, and she has experienced the range of birth situations. She has a calm, assertive quality that is so beneficial to having a positive birthing experience. She was kind, and knowledgeable about everything I discussed with her. During my labor she was one step ahead of everything. What you might not realize as a first time mom is that the nurses, midwives and doctors are not going to be sitting with you in the room and taking care of your every need. They come in periodically to check on you, but they're not your support. I had a natural, unmedicated birth. She helped with my pain management, and I know I couldn't have had the birth I wanted without her. I really would have given up. She made it such a positive experience for me and my partner. He didn't understand why I wanted a doula at first, but he understood it was my body and he just agreed to support whatever I wanted. But after, he  and was telling everyone that they NEED a doula. So believe me, we are eternally grateful to her. Without going into details, I would like to say that she sped up my delivery with her knowledge and foresight. She is a wonderful person to have at your side. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Let me start out by saying that I was pretty skeptical of the idea of someone I didn't know being my "birth coach." That was a job for your husband, or mother, or at the very least a nurse in the hospital. Boy, was I wrong. After consulting many new moms about what actually happens during the birth process, I knew I would need the help of a trained professional. Brooke provides the exact combination of medical background and perfect advocate that any woman needs. She had a calm, but very reassuring demeanor, and she can really help guide you in a very stressful, confusing situation.

I decided to go drug-free, mainly for my fear of needles, and Brooke helped me reach that goal. I was in labor for over three days, and she was a constant for me to the bitter end, which happened to be at 2 am.

My husband also felt like she gave him the direction he needed, and frankly wanted, while I was "busy." I think he has probably recommended Brooke to more people than I have at this point, and frequently compares her to saints and other holy entities on the regular. I would, and frequently do, recommend Brooke to anyone expecting so if she happens to available on your due date you should immediately hire her - she will make the whole experience better for you and your entire family.
