The Nesting Instinct

Phone: 540-820-3983

Birth Fee: $300

Fee Details: I believe that we have a natural nesting instinct, and when given a natural environment, tools and support, that instinct is awakened inside of us. I am so excited to provide the support and resources that you and your partner need to build your own nest and welcome your sweet baby into it. My fee includes two prenatal visits: one for planning for your labor and delivery and one to help you prepare for your postpartum period. I go on call for you at 38 weeks and I will support you over the phone for early labor and in person during active labor and stay with you an additional hour to help with breastfeeding. Three days after you return home we will have a postpartum visit to continue your breastfeeding support and process your birth together. I will continue to be available for you throughout the postpartum period as well. Please don't let my fee deter you from contacting me for support. I am currently accepting pro bono clients and would be happy to work with you.

Robyn was an answer to prayer! I contacted her in my third trimester as the doula I originally planned to work with moved out of state. Robyn responded to my request so quickly, was incredibly nice and ready to help. Robyn provided prenatal and postpartum support to myself and my husband, including two prenatal visits, frequent phone and text support, immediate postpartum assistance and photography, and a subsequent postpartum visit 2 weeks after the birth. She taught us exercises, shared advice, and provided encouragement to help ease some anxiety I had leading up to the birth.

I really appreciated Robyn's flexibility, meeting us in our home in the evening, after my older daughter's bedtime. I feel like we hit it off right away. This pregnancy was more challenging than my first in some ways, being a stay at home mom and having just moved to a new area. I'm so thankful for Robyn's care and support! Her communication in person, over the phone, and via text in the last weeks of my pregnancy was a God-send. She felt like a professional I could trust and a friend that truly cared. At the hospital Robyn provided hands-on support, ensured breastfeeding started well, captured beautiful photos, and helped calm my nerves.

Her postpartum visit 2 weeks after the birth was also fantastic. She helped me process the experience and the unexpected nature of the delivery that wasn't quite what we planned. Robyn is a kind, knowledgeable, well-prepared and enthusiastic doula and I would be honored to have her as my doula again. I highly recommend her!

Robyn was an incredible support to me and my husband during my pregnancy, birth, and after our child arrived. She has a wonderful intuition for working with people and it is complemented by her knowledge of pregnancy and labor. She is a wonderful listener and always offered to provide me with information and resources. I am so happy that she was our doula and that she was there for my delivery. Robyn has my absolute highest recommendation!
