I can't express the gratitude I have for Mischa attending my birth and comforting me in my labor. She was kind, gentle, ,and very attentive. She is well in tune with her work. Many of her techniques to help with the pain were very soothing. Mischa made 14 hours in labor manageable and she assured me when I was in transition (8cm) that I was almost done and doing great.
I can't speak enough on her spirit. Mischa is warm, kind and gentle but when I needed her to remind me of what we discussed previously for birth she did. She made sure when I was being suggested to break my water that It was my choice alone. She made sure I wasn't pressure and she is assertive. Everything you are looking for in a Doula is in Mischa. ???? We thank you Mischa from Shanté & Baby Darius??
Micha was an amazing doula for me and my family. She was there when we needed her and was exstreamly helpful. I considered not hiring a doula this pregnancy because my first one was not very good, but I am so grateful i went ahead and hired her becaue she was a lot more friendly, interactive and supportive than my first one. Thank you so much Micha for being there for me when I needed you.
My experience with Mischa Berg was amazing. This was my first pregnancy and I did do a lot of research on my own before I decided to look for a doula. I wanted to make sure that I was informed and involved in the labor and delivery as I could be. Thanks to Mischa this is exactly what happened. To me, thanks to her, my experience still puts a smile on my face. Everything I wanted was granted. We met a couple of weeks before to go through comfort measures and to see what I was comfortable with and what I didn't want. During labor, she helped me cope with pain with accupressure and massages. She really taught me how to listen to my body and that is exactly what I was able to do. I was able to give birth in a calm setting with no pain medication and it was a wonderful experience. Her support helped me stick to my birth plan. I am so greatful that I met Mischa and that she helped me overcome any fears or doubts that might have come my way. I will definitely recommend Mischa to anyone that is looking for a doula. I myself wil lbe reaching out to her when I have my second baby. For anyone that is considering a doula you need to consider someone who is caring and understands the woman's body. Mischa is both and I was very lucky to have met her and have her present during my pregnancy for all my questions and then for my labor. Truly a blessing.
Mischa Berg is an extremely caring and decicated doula, who by the end of pregnancy ultimately became our sincere friend. If you are looking for someone who would be by your side not just during delivery but throughout pregnancy, Mischa fits the bill perfectly. She was able to really equip me with the knowledge and information necessary to begin to understand delivery. She sent me numerous articles, promptly answered all of my questions to the best of her ability, and truly guided and encouraged me through constant communication, either by text or personal visits.
During the actual delivery, Mischa was irreplaceable. My labor was long and difficult, but it was due to her I was able to deliver vaginally after 48 hours in labor. She used many different techniques to relieve pressure, among which were acupressure, massage, applying a heating pad, and also encouraged me to constantly change positions and move. Most importantly, I felt extremely comfortable with her in the delivery room. She gently quided me, asked questions regarding medical interventions when it was necessary, but at the same time remained very respectful to the hospital nurses, which created a very pleasant atmosphere in the delivery room. I also really appreciated the way she conncected with my husband, prior to and during the delivery. She was there truly for both of us.
Overall, I couldn't be more thankful for Mischa's assistance and her serving heart. She truly is a gifted doula and I highly recommend her services to anyone.
Mischa was so amazing and super helpful during the birth of my daughter! I was given her information by my midwives to give her a call and see if she could attend the birth to help me. I honestly had no clue what to expect with having a doula but she talked to me about my birth plan and how I was Wanting help. Mischa also kept in touch with me before I went into labor Asking how I felt and how I was doing to make sure I was ok and not stressed out. She constantly sent me amazing articles to read to help educate me and prepare me for the birth process which came in handy! She truly does care!
Once I lost my waters she was staying in contact with me all the way up to meeting me at the birthing center! She stayed by my side helping me relax and stay calm, my husband was there but was just so clueless on what to do! I am greatful that she was there! She kept me cool, kept handing me a drink to stay hydrated, food to stay energized, ice and or a hot rice pack for my back and belly. she helped massage my back during contractions Until it was time to get in the tub to deliver my beautiful daughter! While in the tub she held a fan at me to keep me from over heating, kept giving me fresh cold cloths go put on my head and chest and handing me water! She was just amazing!!
I highly recomend her with my whole heart!! And I plan on having her attend again as my doula when I decide to have another baby if im still living inbthe area!! She's just the sweetest woman I have ever met!!
Mischa came to the rescue of my Christmas Eve birth. The first time I actually met Mischa was when I was in labor. The doula I was scheduled to have was out of the country vacation and her back-up doula was attending another birth. Thankfully, Mischa was recommended to me, and she helped bring my baby girl into the world.
Mischa was empathetic, attentive, and caring. She made my family, husband, and I feel at ease. As this was my first birth, I had no idea what to expect. Mischa alleviated a lot of my contraction pain with her magical massages that pinpointed my pain spots. She also offered lavender oil to ease my discomfort, played music for met, and made sure I stayed hydrated during my experience. She was open to my suggestions about ways to cope with my contractions as well as offering her own ways to help me cope. With her help, my natural birth was such a pleasant experience. Now imagine how much more pleased I would have been had I met Mischa before the day I went into labor!!!
After my birth, Mischa followed up and continued to check on the baby and me. She even brought some awesome herbal tea to help me with breastfeeding. I could tell she was genuinely interested in the baby and I's well-being, and extremely passionate about helping women have healthy births. I HIGHLY recommend that you work with her.
Thanks Mischa! I'm forever grateful.
I would first like to say that I am so very thankful that I had Mischa with me to deliver my baby. I have a strained reltionship with the women in my family, and didn't know who the father of my daughter was when I began making delivery plans. It was a very scary situation to be walking into as a first time mom.
Fortunately, I was blessed with a scholarship from/through the Midwives at The Birth Place, where I delivered, and was able to have the accompanyment of Mischa as my doula. It was a great relief to have care prior and all of the support during labor- especially setting up my belongings and keeping me comfortable! Certainly someone I would recommend to anybody, single or otherwise. She has even kept up with me postnatal, and I feel like I made a friend in the process. I will be thankful for her kind support, and physical presence during labor for the rest of my life.
I'd go on, but baby calls. Thank you Mischa!
Mischa was an answered prayer. I'm so thankful that we were able to work together. Mischa was always there whenever we needed her. She gave us a lot of good information and tips to help us prepare for delievery. During delivery, she knew exactly what to do to help me and support me. I am positive that my labor would not have been the same without her support. Mischa was such a blessing to me and my family. We are so grateful to be able to work with her!
At 36 weeks pregnant I found myself switching from my formal doctors office, to a very laid back midwifery practice... After discuss some of our wishes for a unmedicated delivery in a hospital setting, my midwives recommended that I work with a doula- and I was paired up with Mischa! Although hadn't met prior to 36 weeks- it was immediately like we had known each other forever. Mischa has a beautiful, calm, laid-back personality. if you're looking for a doula that is more like a good friend, that truly cares about your baby, your well being, and your birth plan (regardless of what's on it), and someone who will go out of their way to look up and answer any crazy questions (pregnancy, baby, or post-partum) you might have- Mischa is definitely the doula for you! On 12/2 my husband and I went to be induced, when started early AM,Mischa came right away with coconut water for me, peppermint candy, and all of her gear. She came right when contractions were getting very painful and strong, and right away started massaging pressure points to relieve pain, and applying heat with rice socks. I truly believe that I couldn't have made it laboring unmedicated for so long without her and my husband working together helping keep me calm, hydrated, massaging me, and constantly giving me affirmations! After 7 hours of labor- we were told a momma's worst fear baby's heart rate was dropping and they wanted to preform an ER C-section. Mischa was right alongside me, praying with my husband and I and waiting the whole time. When we were out of the OR and in recovery, she was there right away! Now, almost 2 weeks PP- Mischa still texts me daily to check on me, and makes her self always available for questions I have or even If I just need to talk. She is more than a doula, but a wonderful woman with a beautiful soul and a true love for women and babies! I would reccomend her to anyone, and hope she'll assist in my future pregnancies! :)
From the very first conversation we had, Mischa was friendly, patient, knowledgable and courteous. She was more than willing to listen to my questions and concerns while never once showing the slightest bit of frustration. When the time came, I headed to the hospital and texted Mischa around 4 in the morning. She met us at the hospital about 10 minutes after we arrived and immeditately made sure I was as comfortable as possible. From the very beginning of the hospital stay she was so attentive, calming and patient with me. She was always close by to offer me anything from a sip of water, or a lavender scented warm cloth, to electric candles for peaceful lighting, a yoga ball, a special pillow, a warm bath and other ideas that might calm me and help move the process along as peacefully as possible. Although always present, she was never overbearing. Always patient and watchful, but never intrusive. Always there to provide knowledge and guidance, but never to push me into something I didn't want. Looking back, I can't imagine how much more difficult the process might have been without her support. I will definitiely be using her as my Doula if/when I have my next child and I would most certainly recommend her to anyone else having a child. My fiance, my baby boy, and I are all grateful for the love and care she provided to our family.
