Heather had been helpful throughout my pregnancy. She checked in on me and I was able to share my progress. She was able to recommend a great person to encapsulate my placenta when she couldn't. After the birth, I have been able to vent and get amazing information, resources and priceless advice and never felt any judgment. I value her experience, ideas, opinions and advice very much. She has helped me emotionally, more then she will ever know. The support she offers is one of a kind.

Heather was fantastic from the prenatal visits to delivery to postnatal visits! She has been there whenever I have had questions. She has a great deal of knowledge and experience to share and helped me to feel comfortable despite my fears regarding hospitals and childbirth. She jumped right in when she arrived at the hospital during my labor and helped my sister and husband know how to provide comfort and reassurance. I would definitely recommend her services! She is passionate in what she does and will be a great friend and mentor during your pregnancy, labor and delivery, and beyond!

Imagine a person who combines the encouragement of your closest girlfriend with the wisdom and experience of your mother, but without their annoying qualities – that’s Heather Petsche.

Heather is a mother to 7 children, so she understands what you’re going through. She fully respects your wishes and strives to keep everyone on the same page. She understands that there is no “right” way to give birth; that plans change; and that a woman needs unconditional support during labor. She will advocate for you, even if you’re in too much pain to think straight.

Pregnancy, labor, and post-partum are emotional times (to say the least). You won’t need to monitor your feelings or be pretty and polite around Heather. You can just be yourself. Just feel whatever you’re feeling in that moment. She won’t judge you negatively. She’s truly present to assist and encourage.

Heather really knows her stuff and can be a great help in making your birth plan. In fact, she was far more helpful in preparing for labor than my doctor was! She has a wealth of personal experience but will not push her own agenda on you. And she's fun! You'll enjoy your prenatal visits with her.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO DADS! You want to hire Heather! *Do not underestimate how hard it’ll be to see the woman you love in excruciating pain.* My husband was beside himself. He says he would’ve fallen apart (and been no help at all to me), if not for Heather’s calm demeanor and reassurances that we were all going to get through labor okay. At times she was just as important to his emotional well-being as she was to mine!

Hiring Heather is a great investment in your mental, emotional, and physical health. We cannot recommend her more highly!

Heather was my Doula through my second pregnancy and child birth. I had seeked her out after my husband and I figured out that we would be able to handle this wonderful unexpected experience with someone who would be a champion for us. We were looking for someone who would be able to educate us better thus empower us in making informed choices that worked for us. I also had a very rough time with initally breastfeeding my older child, and so I wanted to prepare better for initial challenges. It took us over 6 months before we found a good Doula match in Heather. She met with us multiple times before the baby was born in the comfort of our  house. She was also available through text messages and emails. She helped us in coming up with a simple birth plan that was agreeable to my healthcare provider. During my last few weeks, Heather checked in regularly to how I was doing and also suggested a few tips. She put me at ease when I tested positive for Group B Strep and my doctor suggested inducing at 39 weeks when I was opposed to it.

I finally went into labor at 38.2 weeks naturally. We had expected a very quick Labor and Delivery. My water broke at home around 1.40 am and I texted her at 2am just before we got on our way to the hospital. Heather reached the hospital a little before 3am and my baby was there 15 minutes later. She helped me focus when I had to push. She also encouraged me when she saw my daughters head. I will carry with me the excited yet calm look on her face for the rest of my life. She also took some candid pictures which I will treasure and share with my daughter years from now.Heather also carefully prepared my placenta to convert to capsules. I have still not had to use it 6months postpartum but I know its always there to use. Heather visited with us postpartum and was very encouraging. She also gave me several breastfeeding pointers which I am happy to say was smooth this time. I would recommend her to my friends.

Heather was an absolute amazing part of my birth experience! For a very lengthy 35 hours I pushed thru a difficult and draining labor. She was constantly assisting, being there not only for me but my fiancé as well. She provided knowledge, advocacy, support and a light of patience and calm even when moments seemed to be going nowhere and not easy to get over to the next stage. Heather thank you so so much, with your presence I feel that contributed greatly to my very rewarding and powerful experience that ended in the successful VBAC that I wished so much to have! What an incredible birth ??????

My husband and I hired Heather as our doula last summer. My husband was very leery about doulas-- he thought that she was going to take over his role during my labor. Thankfully, he agreed for us to meet Heather. She informed both my husband and I on the process and made my hubby feel comfortable with hiring her! We learned a whole lot from Heather--- which was incredibly helpful as we were expecting our first child and really had no idea what to expect. She met us one other time before my labor. This meeting, I remember her helping ease my nerves. I wanted and succeeded in having a natural labor, and honestly I'm not sure if I would been able to achieve it without the guidance from Heather. I felt completely supported.

Heather also encapsulated my placenta. I was excited for this & truly believe that it helped stabilize my moods after my son was born. I was in such a good place. We did have a third meeting, where she made sure I was adjusting well to motherhood. I cannot imagine my experience without having a doula by our side. I highly recommend Heather!
