Birth Fee: $600 to $650
Fee Details: Please contact me for my fees. Support should be within everyone's reach and I was fortunate enough to have a childbirth educator and doula offer payment flexibility when funds were tight for me. For which I will forever be grateful.

Bethany was my Doula recently for the birth of my second son and I cannot speak highly enough about what an amazing support she was! My husband and I keep telling everyone that this birth would not have been anything like it was without Bethany! She kept me calm over the phone through several anxiety-filled situations leading up to the birth and through several bouts of prodromal labor. Then, when I was finally in actual labor, she helped me breathe through contractions, gave counter pressure, helped my husband to support me well, and helped me to have a fantastic natural labor experience at Stone Spring Hospital. She worked really well with the hospital staff and with my Midwives. I really respect that she refuses to give any sort of medical suggestions or opinions because she is not a medical professional. She IS a birth educator through teaching Bradley classes, which we took and also highly recommend, but at no point, even as an educator, did she give medical suggestions, just LOADS of education about the birth experience and so much support! my husband and I were amazed by how different this birth experience was than our first son’s birth because it was so quiet and calm almost the entire time. Plus, Bethany made me change positions often in order to help keep labor progressing, and though I didn’t like changing positions, I’m really glad she pushed me (gently and kindly, but firmly) to do this because my labor was significantly shorter than my first even though both sons were posterior all through my labors. I also really respect and appreciate that she keeps her own birth opinions to herself, fully supporting whatever your birth plan includes. Other doulas I interviewed said they would fully support my plans, but then tried to suggest or persuade other things; Bethany never did anything but fully support my plan, no ifs, ands or buts. She is so sweet, kind and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
My husband and I first discovered Bethany when our midwives recommended that we sign up for a Bradley Childbirth class. Little did we know at the time that we had discovered the perfect doula for the birth of our first daughter. We chose Bethany as our doula because she is a compassionate, calm, patient, professional, and very knowledgeable woman and mother. We felt safe and secure with her and knew that she would be the perfect advocate for our dream birth in any setting.
Bethany went above and beyond for us as our Bradley teacher and doula. She was always available to call/text with any questions that we had, which was so invaluable to us, especially in the wee hours of the morning when my labor started. Bethany met us at our birth center for our water birth and brought tears to my eyes because she had decorated our room with candles and birth affirmations. It made us feel so very special and cared for.
As a first-time mom, I didn’t know whether or not I needed a doula, but I’m so grateful that I had Bethany. Because of her experience teaching and using the Bradley Method, she knew exactly what my husband and I needed during my labor. She gave us the right amount of space to implement the husband-coached Bradley method while still being there for whatever we needed.
You will be in more than capable hands with Bethany.
Bethany was the second doula that we had used before (this was my second baby). I honestly can't say enough amazing things about her. Bethany is so calm and completely supportive with any wish the mother has. I never ever felt judgment which I feel like is really hard to find. She was with me every step of the way with my random text questions, obgyn appointment updates and even went on my hosp tour with me! Her support and deep knowledge base provided me with great comfort both emotionally and physically. She met with me to go over our wishes and plans as well as any concerns or struggles I've had. She was by my side through labor and came to my house after we were settled in to check with me and process my birth experience. I'm a counselor and I didn't even realize how much I needed to process my deliver experience until Bethany was there for me and helped me take a moment to reflect on myself (which seems nearly impossible when caring for a newborn and 2 year old lol). I am so grateful that she was our doula as my experience would not have been the same without her. I am also very grateful for the beautiful relationship I have found in knowing her! I would call upon her again instantly if we have any more children.
We were very fortunate to have a smooth and simple birth story and, without a doubt, much of that was thanks to Bethany! As this was our first pregnancy, we had little knowledge of the birth process. We are so glad that we hired Bethany to guide us! Perhaps even more so than during the actual birth, Bethany helped us prepare for the natural birth that we wanted. She met with us before the birth for an in-home visit to review (and greatly improve!) our birth preferences and gave us exercises to help ensure proper fetal positioning. She was also always available to answer questions via text - no question was to naive! During the labor process, which for us was fortunately quite short, Bethany met us at the hospital. She was ever present but never intrusive or imposing. She made helpful recommendations for positioning and provided soothing massage through contractions. Then, after the birth she stayed with us for a bit to provide some early guidance on breastfeeding but gave us space for personal time as a new family. Lastly, she conducted an in-home follow-up visit to check on breastfeeding and any additional questions we had once we had a little time to get accustomed to our new life. Even after this final visit, she has been readily available to answer questions via text.
To anyone, particularly first time parents looking for a birth with minimal interventions, I highly recommend Bethany and her doula services. While we understand that many births cannot go as planned, we are so thankful that we had Bethany's services to ensure that ours did. Even more, if complications did arise, I felt more comfortable going into the birth process knowing that we had Bethany's experience to assist us and advocate for our wishes in a time when we might not be capable of doing so ourselves.
When we first met Bethany, we knew she would be the perfect doula for us. I cannot speak highly enough about her and everything she did for us before, during, and after our birth. As first time parents, her expertise and knowledge gave us the confidence we needed to make it through pregnancy and birth. During labor, Bethany suggested multiple position changes that shortened my hours of labor! She also helped calm me down at times when I felt emotional and overwhelmed. Hearing her encouragment and positivity made a world of difference for us throughout the whole process, and I cannot thank Bethany enough. Her visits after birth reassured me that I was doing a great job at being a mom. Overall, our experience with Bethany was amazing! She is a wonderful doula and I cannot highly recommend her enough.
