I found Molly online while searching for a Doula. She was professional, non-judgmental, patient and I loved her personality. Her experience and knowledge regarding pregnancy and childbirth is very extensive. She listened well to my concerns, offered many good suggestions, and was supportive of my wishes and decisions on how to handle the birth of my son. Through her great suggestions on positioning and massage during labor I was able to progress much farther before needing pain relief than I would otherwise have been able. She helped to make the entire process more comfortable and less worrisome for me and my family. When she arrived at the hospital her presence was calming to me and knowing she was there lifted my anxiety and fears. I would highly recommend having Molly as your Doula.
Molly is an absolutely wonderful labor doula and I highly recommend her. She is kind, calming, empathetic and experienced. The love she has for babies is very special, but even more special is her true passion for labor, childbirth, and its entire process.
Molly met with me and my husband twice in the weeks before I went in to labor to prepare us. She was so informative, yet never imposed her opinions on us. It made me feel like she was truly there to support us and help us through our OWN experience.
During my labor Molly was truly awesome. I had an intense, long labor and I really could not have gotten through it without her. Not only did she keep me motivated/focused and comforted, but she was also a great support for my husband who had a difficult time watching me go through this experience. It was my wish to have a natural labor, so she utilized many different relaxation techniques during contractions including deep breathing, massage (even an awesome foot massage!), essential oils, hot shower, etc. Because my labor stalled, I asked the medical staff for help with the pain. Molly supported me and reminded me of my options. She was there for us alongside the medical staff, and there was never any interference/tension between the two.
Since my baby was turned sideways during the final stage of labor, we were faced with a very difficult decision of the doctor using the vacuum to extract the baby, or having a risky C-section performed. I was scared, emotional, and extremely exhausted at this point but Molly stayed calm and continued to encourage me. I gave birth to a healthy boy without having to go in to surgery.
Words cannot express how grateful I am that we had Molly as a support through this challenging yet amazing process. We were able to get through it because of her. Anyone that is seeking the assistance of a labor doula would be so lucky to have her!!!
