Krista was engaged as our birth doula very last minute, as our planned doula had a death in the family. As I had to be induced unexpectedly due to high blood pressure, Krista herself found out she was going to be our doula when I was getting admitted to the hospital. Krista immediately re-arranged her schedule so she could come to the hospital to meet with my family and I to discuss our desires and to get acquainted. It was immediately evident that Krista had a very positive disposition, was very intelligent, and very prepared! She had a goody bag filled with all sorts of useful labor aids. Even though having Krista as our birth doula wasn't planned, I was immediately at ease after meeting her. My labor went pretty quickly, and Krsita helped an unmedicated labor by giving me positive feedback, providnig coaching to my husband and suggesting alternate positions. Overall, I think having her as my doula really enhanced the birth experience. She also came to our home to do 2 post-partum visits. Again, her knowledge and positivity were so welcome in those early, sleepless days. She gave us great tips, helped me learn how to swaddle, and made me feel at ease. I would HIGHLY recommend Krista to anyone seeking out a positive and well-informed doula.

We had a rough few months after our son was born, dealing with persistent feeding problems which turned into bigger problems for mom and dad. Krista was a huge part of getting us to a better place, coming in at night to care for our son and give us a break to sleep! I always had peace of mind leaving our son in her care. Thank you!

My husband and I cannot speak any more highly of Krista Thompson.  She was such a blessing to have around us during the end of pregnancy, throughout labor and an unexpected c-section, and for those few weeks after birth.  Krista met with my husband and I a few times before the big day, and we were so grateful for those meetings.  It really helped us feel comfortable around her which made the idea of being our most vulnerable, during birth, seem plausible and proved to be true.  During our birth experience, Krista was able to support me and my husband in a way where she was there for me, but she really gave my husband the ability to shine.  It's hard to explain, but I knew she was there and that made me feel calm.  I felt so close to Krista after the experience.  She's so easy to talk to, and really made me feel supported and cared for.  Her presence was like having your closest friend around.
