We feel very lucky and blessed to have had Lauren as my doula. My husband and I both agree that she was an important part in helping me/us have such a positive birth experience. She has much experience and knowledge from her own life as well as from being a student midwife. She took time to explain more about labor positions and what is helpful for baby to descend. She gave me many helpful tips for during my pregnancy as well as labor, delivery, and postpartum. She was confident and a great leader, while also being caring, calm and supportive of what my husband and I needed. I appreciated her presence during my active labor, because she seemed to anticipate what I needed, was very in tune with my process, and was very proactive in preparing and being a part of whatever I needed next. She took time to visit me at my home after our baby was born and gave me more helpful info in caring for my baby and myself. I highly recommend her!

Although this was my fourth baby, it was my first time to have a doula. I was very grateful for the support Lauren gave. It was reassuring to know she as there to help me. It felt so nice to have someone who stayed by my side the whole time and gave extra support when needed. My husband does a wonderful job being my support (and muscle!), but I know he too was glad to have Lauren there adding her strength to his. It was nice to have someone there to ask questions when I was unsure. By talking with Lauren and having her available to answer questions at any time, I felt much more sure of myself and what I wanted for our baby. I was also able to make more confident decisions regarding the postpartum care of our preemie baby. We are so thankful to have made a friend in Lauren (and family). The mamas in Alabama sure are blessed to have her there!

Hiring a doula was not the first thing that came to mind when I found out I was pregnant. So many emotions and feelings flooded my mind  and body as I settled into the realization that I was going to be a mother. I was not unfamiliar with natural living and having a good support system, but here I was grown up, married, and pregnant with my first child and scared. My mother lived states away and though I had a very supportive husband and mother in law, I needed that one person to help me through this journey, and most importantly someone that respected and understood how important it was for me to have a natural childbirth. Enter Lauren Bettis! After our first meeting, I was confident I could have the birth I wanted. We instantly connected. My husband and I met her twice before the birth, I appreciated that she listened to his concerns and views as well. She knew we were all a team and gave us support, care, and helpful advice without being controlling or opinionated. She was a wealth of information and I loved the neatly organized folder she presented us at our first visit which was full of valuable checklists and guidelines to aid us through pregnancy and prepare us for childbirth and life as new parents. She was always available whether it be texts or calls with questions or asking for suggestions. The day I went into labor, I felt anxious and called Lauren looking for guidance. She immediately reassured me all was OK and guided me through each painful contraction. From the essential oil massages to the counter pressure application to coaching me through deep breathing, she was never more than an arms length away. She helped me labor in the comfort of my home for hours before I decided we needed to head to the hospital. I only labored a few hours at the hospital before I gave birth to our sweet baby girl. I felt so empowered in having a natural childbirth. I will never go without a doula! Lauren is such a blessing and I will be ever grateful.

Lauren was an awesome Doula! I could not have gotten through my natural birth plan without her. She is very knowledgable and offered up so many good suggestions for pain management. Not only did she provide great support the day of delivery, but she taught my husband and I so much both before and after going into labor, and even provided follow-up support to make sure we were adjusting to our new life as a family of 3. Lauren is so sweet and kind hearted, I would definitely use her again and recommend her to others to use as their Doula in the future. I can't thank Lauren enough for her support!
