Postpartum limits/restrictions: Hey there, I'm Ruth. I'm a trained Labor and Postpartum Doula, servicing Seattle WA and the surrounding areas. It is my goal to provide Physical, emotional, and educational support in a way that will empower you in your own personal birth and postpartum journey. By helping families gain knowledge and confidence, they can be empowered through this life changing experience. Every birth is uniquely beautiful and miraculous! Before becoming a Doula, I worked as a nanny for many years. I worked with many babies and families which cultivated my passion for babies and supporting new parents. In my spare time I love trying out and creating new recipes in the kitchen. I also love exploring nature through biking, hiking, gardening and traveling.

We had the privledge of working with Ruth for her first birth. She is and was amazing at her practice. We had no issues or second guessing that she knew what she was doing. Upon our first meeting we knew we wanted to work with her. She was easy going, flexible, approachable, and available in many aspects. She made sure we knew all the areas about what was happening and the process; she was very knowledgable with what to ask and when. She presented many questions for my husband and I to think about, so our birth experience was as close to what we were envisioning as possible
On the lead up to the birth she was available via text for support and questions. Ruth was a wonderful resource as pre labor started and I had only slept for 90 minutes total in 2 days before our daughter was born. At the birth Ruth was always there ready and willing in any capacity needed. She even ran an errand to Jamba Juice for me, because that is what I wanted at that moment! Ruth was an important and integral part of my birthing team; of just my husband and her, that were there for me. It never felt that she was an outsider or that she got in the way.
If we were going to have another child, we would want her there again.

Ruth has been wonderful to my family during the transition into a house with a baby. She is very supportive of any decision I made. The best part was that she does light cleaning and watched the baby while you sleep! I’m forever grateful.

Ruth has been a huge help for the birth of our son. She has help keep me calm and helped me with pain by doing massage, breathing with me, essential oils and other techniques. She knows when to take action and when to be in the background, waiting to help us.
