Our experience with Tracy & Kelsey was amazing! At the prenatal meetings, they were great at answering all of my questions. They are very knowledgeable, and I felt very comfortable with both of them. During my labor, Tracy was great at providing encouragement and support, and advice on next steps when I wasn't making progress. Kelsey took over because my labor was so long, and she was there for my pushing stage, and she was also amazing. She was right by me the entire time, helping with positioning and offering encouragement. I definitely recommend them both, they really helped us get through the labor/delivery, and I definitely would not go through this again without them! My only regret is not contacting them sooner to have their advice/expertise throughout more of my pregnancy.

To say that Tracy was an important part of our birth would be a colossal understatement.  She talked me through days of start and stop contractions leading up to labor and without her I really feel like I might have gone crazy wondering what was going on, and at the very least i would have gone to the hospital a few times to check if i was in labor. We called her more than once in the middle of the night and she was always so kind and sweet.

During my labor she was just as important as my husband.  She advocated for me to the nursing staff, and she helped me though intense contractions. She was there when I needed water or juice or if i just needed a hand to hold.

Tracy never put any of her own personal beliefs into her practice or made us feel like we had to do things her way or anyone else's. She just helped us have the birth we wanted and made sure our wishes were respected.

I didn't have a doula at my first labor and now I wish I had. It was so worth the cost and I'm so glad my family got to meet her and share our sons birth with her.

Tracy was invaluable during my birth. I had an unplanned C-section with my first pregnancy 4 years ago due to failure to progress (This was after 4 days of labor, 48 hours after my water broke, and I never dilated past 5 centimeters). I carried a lot of grief over this birth and believed that although I could make a beautiful baby, my body wasn't able to birth her. When we decided to get pregnant again, we both agreed that this time we would hire a doula. It was really important for me to try for a VBAC. An acquaintance provided Tracy's contact information and because we live in Santa Fe but were going to deliver in Albuquerque, Tracy and I spoke on the phone for about 45 minutes the first time. Due to her many years of experience, her description of techniques she uses for comfort and progression during labor and due to her excitement about working with Mothers seeking VBACs, I knew that she was the Doula for me. We met in person once and communicated via email and phone throughout the pregnancy. When I went into labor, she provided phone support during the early stages, encouraged us to go to the hospital when we did, met us at the hospital, couched me to do exercises that encourage dilation, and once I was admitted to the hospital, she never left my side (which was about 18 hours). I was able to deliver my baby boy vaginally without any augmentation while Tracy provided emotional support, verbal encouragement, used massage and counter pressure techniques, helped me understand each stage and medical intervention available, and she did it all without judgement which really meant a lot to me. Tracy's presence was also equally beneficial for my husband, which allowed him to go for quick walks, leave to get a cup of coffee and just have a few minutes to disconnect and re-energize. I cannot express enough gratitude to Tracy for her role in my birth. I will forever be grateful to her.

I delivered at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Racho. With my first son I was completely unprepared for the birth. I was scared and decided to get an epidural in fear of the pain. It was one of the worst experiences that it even changed my mind about having children again. With the second pregnancy we went through a family adoption still not knowing where to begin when it came to planning for the delivery. All I knew was that I did not want an epidural unless there were complications. That’s where Tracy came in and offered her support. She helped establish a birthing plan helped me better understand my needs and wants to make sure this birth went as smooth as possible and that my privacy be respected. Throughout the whole process Tracy was reassuring even when I wanted to deviate from our plan I was reminded that I did not need nor want the epidural for my or the sake of the baby and that my body was made to bring life into this world. Tracy’s calm demeanor helped me focus at the task at hand because I knew things were being taken care of. I am forever grateful that I had Tracy offering her support for myself and family and that she was there to coach me through the delivery so that we could have a natural birth. My experience with her has changed my whole outlook on having children and how beautiful the whole process really is thanks to the right people stepping in and reminding me of my strength.

I am very thankful that I had Tracy by my side during my last birth. I was induced and did not have as many choices as I wished during my labor, yet she was able to graciously communicate with me about what was happening and help me through all the steps of my fast, hard labor. It was a stressful time, but having Tracy there to advocate for me made it so much more bareable! Even though this was my fourth child, and I had my husband and older children there with me for support, they could not always anticipate how things could go or what I might need. Having a knowledgeable non-family member there that doesn't work for the hospital or doctor can make a positive difference in the outcome and view of labor and birth. It did for me especially!  Knowing that Tracy was there to listen, give advice when needed, and take care of me as labor progressed helped me greatly. I encourage others to have Tracy attend their birth whether at home, a birthing center, or hospital. She is a very knowledgeable and experienced mother and birth educator and I appreciate her calm, caring bedside manner. I know it made a huge difference for me!
