Tara is absolutely fantastic. I cannot say enough about her to express how thankful we were to have her with us when we had our son.

She truly cares about her clients and it's obvious that she does this from her heart. She is knowledgeable, patient, and very kind. Tara felt like an old friend immediately. I felt supported the entire time and her presence both before and during the birth really helped keep my fear of the birthing process in check. I appreciated her patience so much leading up to the birth because I was so fearful. But she constantly provided me reassurance in a way that was tailored to me and how I'd best respond. She was so personable and calm throughout while maintaining her professionalism. She had so many coping techniques for labor that were extremely helpful, and I appreciated having her as a resource when we were presented with decisions that came up.

After our son was born, Tara spent some time with us and I could see the emotion on her face. She truly cares about her clients and the children they bring into the world.

Tara has definitely found her calling in being a doula.

Tara, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. You made our birthing experience so incredible, and you'll always have our gratitude.

Hiring Tara Dalles as our doula was the BEST decision we made in preparation for labor and delivery.  With Alex and myself being first time parents who wanted to have as natural of a birth experience as possible, we knew we needed back up going into the big day- we just did not know just how much it would pay off!  As time drew closer to our due date, I was beginning to have more fear than excitement hovering over the due date.  I had no idea what to expect in labor and I was skeptical if I would be able to deliver unmedicated or even be able to advocate for that in the first place.  Once we hired Tara and had our in person meeting to nail down our birth plan, everything changed.  Tara was able to shed so much wisdom and knowledge on all the stages of labor, what to expect, and how to prepare, that by the time we were done meeting my fear was replaced with an almost eager anticipation of the big day.  I felt empowered and truly ready to face whatever labor and delivery experience was presented to me!  As many birth stories go ours did not go according to plan!  Labor began with my water breaking, later into labor I ran a fever and little girls elevated heart rate was a constant concern, and before too long we had to move forward with pitocin in order for labor to progress!  Although my labor was very different from the "ideal" we had planned for, I still felt that empowerment and comfort thanks to Tara the entire time.  She helped my husband and I communicate effectively with our providers and she coached and comforted us both during each contraction.  Ultimately I do not think that my husband and I would have been able to have such a happy (still very hard!) birth experience if Tara had not been there along side us, she was essential to our success and honestly a fun person to spend the day with.  So happy we had Tara as our doula and we will definitely be calling her again for any future babies!

My primary Doula was unable to meet me due to contracting the flu and Tara was called in as my back up Doula. I was quite nervous as I had never met her and I was already in labor. Immediately, I was comforted by her warm and reassuring presence. I was already  into active labor when I arrived at the hospital and had difficulty relaying my personal information to the nursing staff. Tara served as a great liaison between myself and the staff and made the transition go smoothly.  She was a wealth of knowledge in helping me to figure out the best positions for labor and was able to help me find a comfortable rhythm during contractions. I especially loved how she was able to help my husband feel part of the process by suggesting various ways he could soothe and support me during my contractions.  I was able to fulfill my wishes of a natural birth due to her positivity and encouragement. Later, after the birth,  I had some trouble with latch in breast-feeding and she was available and willing to offer consultation and support which has led to a very successful breastfeeding experience. I cannot say enough positive things about Tara and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to for fill their wishes of having the birth experience they desire.

Tara has been my lactation consultant through the birth of both of my girls. I truly believe that my first breastfeeding journey was as successful as it was due to the support I received from Tara. From start to finish Tara was exactly what I needed when I was a first time mom emotionally and physically in my postpartum journey. Even the “second time around” Tara has provided me with amazing new tips and hints that have been equally as successful in my breastfeeding journey again. She has always made herself available to answer any questions I had or may have. She is my reliable source of comfort. Her professionalism is like nothing I have encountered yet makes you feel so at ease it’s like you’ve known her for years. When my emotions were at an all time high after birth, Tara was there to make the transition into motherhood as easy as possible. She left no question unanswered, always demonstrated whenever possible and assisted in helping me perfect my journey to each individual child’s need. I could never thank her enough for the tools she has provided for me and my girls.

Tara was an incredible source of support during my labor with both my daughter and my son. My labors were very different, yet she knew exactly what to do and what to say to encourage my desire to have a natural birth. I still to this day don't think I could have done 32 hours of labor with pitiocin and no epidural without Tara's great support. She has an amazing wealth of knowledge to share, as well as a genuine love for her clients and their families. I'm so grateful I was able to use her as my doula two separate times. We LOVE Tara and she will always be so special to our family.
