I hired Stephanie as a birth doula while she was a student at Duke University in mid-2017. I gave birth to my son in 9/2017.

Wow. This woman is an amazing. Stephanie is warm and made me feel so well cared for. She is one of the most patient and enouraging people I have ever met. During our consultation, home-visits and during my labor, she was present and reminded me that I was doing a great job and she was there to support me. I was amazed by her attention to me (and my husband) throughout my 18-hour labor. My experience giving birth was better because of Stephanie. I know she will make an incredible Ob/Gyn one day!

Thank you so much, Stephanie.

Stephanie had a pleasant energy during all of her visits to our home.  My wife was pregnant with our first child, and Stephanie assuaged our new-parent fears.  Breastfeeding was something neither of us was familiar with.  Stephanie walked us through the process of breastfeeding and connected us with the Breastfeeding Center for Greater Washington, which we had never heard of.  Stephanie was also helpful in teaching us swaddling and newborn bathing techniques. Greatly appreciated and highly recommended.

Stephanie is an outstanding doula; I feel so lucky to have found her!

Stephanie was an invaluable resource to me before, during and after the birth of my first son; an amazing comfort while in labor, a source of information and support and an advocate for my goals when I couldn’t be. She is open-minded, able to evaluate and analyze issues and is clear and consistent in the way she communicates. I will always cherish the fact that she made me feel comfortable and confident when I was confused and overwhelmed. Stephanie is self-aware, listens without judgment and has a principled work ethic and respectful demeanor. She is extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period and was a breastfeeding lifesaver during my son’s first week home when this was a struggle. Her kindness, honesty, open-mindedness and flexibility made a profoundly positive impact on my experience transitioning to motherhood.

I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Stephanie!
