I have had the benefit of knowing Erin both personally and professionally, and she is a very knowledgable and caring doula. My husband and I hired her for the birth of our 3rd baby, for a planned home water birth. It was an unexpecteddly preciptious birth, and she made it just in time. :) Erin was one of the first members of our birth team to arrive. (Thankfully our midwife lived closer.) I appreciate the knowledge and sense of calm her presence brought, in the midst of a bit of a chotic experience. She was very supportive and helpful during the time she was present, and she even took the first photos of our daughter for her birth announcement which was special to us. Erin provided enless phone and text support, even in the first few weeks postpartum. She is respectful of each families birth wishes, and we couldn't have been happier to have her present for this special time.

I can't say enough good things about Erin! I wasn't even sure if I wanted a doula at first and my husband was definitely skeptical about it. Our first son was born via cesarean birth due to being breech and I knew, even while still in the operating room, that I wanted a VBAC more than anything for our next birth. After finding out that a doula increased my VBAC chances, I knew I wanted to look into it. We set up a meeting with Erin and immediately I was blown away with how comfortable I felt with her. I had a hard time imagining that I would find someone that I felt so good about being a part of such a vulnerable, intimate and raw time. She is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to help me navigate through everything that came up during my pregnancy and birth. I felt so supported from the moment we made the decision to hire Erin to be our doula.  She was always available when I had a question or wanted to update her on my pregnancy. The night I went into labor, I called her to let her know I thought I was in early labor, and she made me feel so calm and safe knowing that she was a phone call away whenever I was ready for her support. When my labor progressed to the point where I was so uncomfortable and didn't know what do to, my husband called her and she came over in the middle of the night to help me labor at home before heading to the hosital. She helped support me physically with counter pressure on my hips and hot rice packs across my belly and mentally by calming me down and reassuring me that I could do this. I didn't always know what I needed during labor, but Erin seemed to know and just did it. My VBAC experience was so amazing and healing and I owe much of that to having Erin by my side! She supported both me and my husband once we called for her and remained by my side for the rest of my 18 hour labor and until after baby was in my arms. We are so greatful and thankful that she was apart of one of the most special moments of our lives!

When I first got pregnant, I had 0 intentions of working with a doula.  However, as the 2nd trimester approached, I found myself a newly single Mom-to-be and I realized I desperately needed some support.  I interviewed 2 potential doulas before Erin and was feeling very defeated in the whole process, but my meeting with Erin turned things around & gave me a renewed sense of hope about the coming months.

During my pregnancy, there were many things I loved about working with Erin.  One of the biggest was how quickly she responded when I had a question, or when I just wanted to share the news of a successful OBGYN appointment to monitor my growing baby's healthy progress.  She shared in my enthusiasm about the pregnancy, and advocated for me from Day 1 of our partnership by linking me up to additional resources offered through Birthingway College.  She recognized that I really loved reading about pregnancy and birth, and lent me a wonderful book from her own library with inspiring stories of natural birth (Ina May's Guide to Childbirth).

My daughter's due date came quickly...and went just as fast.  I was a week overdue, and when I had a worrisome OBGYN visit that sent me scrambling, thinking I might be induced that day due to a potential complication, Erin was the one I called from the parking lot in tears, as I knew she could help walk me through what was happening.  I ended up not being induced that day (YAY!) and a few days later, my water broke and the time had arrived.  Erin was every bit as supportive during my 31-hour labor (AHH!) as she was during my pregnancy, and I know wholeheartedly that I would have ended up with a C-section (my biggest fear) if she had not been there to advocate for and support me.

Erin gave me the push I needed during labor, right when I needed it, to have a successful birth story, and I would have her by my side as my doula again in a heartbeat.
