Every mom has been there, arriving home from the hospital and starting the transition into your new family dynamic. It's hard! The typical sleepless nights, constant feedings, explosive diapers, and the most fun of all is trying to entertain that toddler whose life was just turned upside down. As the laundry and dishes pile up, along with the dust settling on the furniture, all you want to do is snuggle that sweet new baby. This is when you want to choose the right kind of "visitors" to come into your house. Though your family is so excited to meet the new addition, the most important thing MOM needs at this time is someone willing to come over and do house chores. Yes...house chores. Without a hesitation, Danielle came to my house and (though I know she wanted nothing more than to sit around snuggling her new nephew all afternoon) she choose the best gift of all. I didn't even have to ask, she picked up the broom and swept up the crumbs that covered the floor from that messy toddler, she moved the laundry over and put away the laundry from the dryer, and then she picked up the toys that seemed to have exploded all over the living room floor. As I thanked her for this generosity she looked at me and said something along the lines of "that baby needs to be right there in his Momma's arms". She understands, she's been there and it is her number that I'll call first if there is ever another time like this!
