Although I’m fairly new to being a professional Doula, I have been helping friends and family in the same capacity for many years. I have many references. I decided to leave my corporate career to pursue my passion and calling. What I do as your Postpartum Doula • Light housekeeping • Preparing and cooking wholesome meals for family • Helping siblings to adjust • Calming baby • Giving parents a break so they can nap/sleep. • Care for baby during the night • Feed or bring baby to mother to breastfeed during the night • Getting mom and baby to appointments if needed • Aid with breastfeeding • Baby wearing instruction • Meet mother/family at the hospital to help her gather her things when she takes the baby home • Be with mother and partner at NICU if baby has a prolonged stay at the hospital before coming home. Gift certificates available for the moms-to-be in your life! Make a great shower gift. Message me for pricing and economical packages!

Laura is sensational. She is an encourager, an exemplady listener, and a cheerleader. She is knowledgable but never makes you feel like you don't know what you are doing. She took my 6 month old for an overnight because, between my 3 kids, I don't sleep much. I've been having a particularly rough time with being over tired and felt like I couldn't take it anymore. My baby kept her up for 4 hours in the middle of the night (both times she has taken her now) and Laura never made me feel bad about it. I was able to get the rest I needed and know my child was safe and loved. My oldest is 7 and has only been away from us for 4 nights (other than being with grandparents at our home while I always having her siblings) and never with someone that wasn't family. I share this to say that Laura is someone that can be trusted completely. She's not family, but she is.
I have known Laura for well over a decade now and have seen her family grow and flourish. This past year I had a baby of my own. As a Neontatal ICU nurse, I know babies and have no shortage of people to ask for advice and help. Yet, Laura is still one of the first people I reach out to for help. She is a constant source of practical advice and supports my decisions. As a new mother, I find that most people are very judgmental of parenting choices and everyone is suddenly an "expert." It is nice to know I have Laura on my side when it comes to raising my own child. Not only does she know developmentally how babies grow but she also knows all the tricks to keep a baby and a family happy and sane during this very important time for all. If you have a chance to work with Laura, I would highly recommend it!
