Alleah is an amazing doula, and we are so blessed that she guided us through the birth of our daughter.  She was a great support to not only me, but also to my husband and even my mother.  She has a serenity about her that we all benefited from.  She is very knowledgable and respectful of birth process.

Alleah was available to talk me through the last month of the pregnancy, which was a little emotional.  I was excited and afraid, and she got it.  She listens and she gives good advice.

(As I write this, my five-month old is on my lap, smiling up at me and then reaching for the screen.  Amazing how time flies.)

At the birth, she also made the pain more tolorable.  She did some "doula stuff" that made me feel physically better.  And she was there for my husband:  she helped him help me.  My husband, like lots of husbands, really wants to be a pillar for me.  It's tough for them!  They will never experience childbirth.  Alleah guided him through what the birth would be like.  She taught him some techniqes that really helped me.  I am really grateful for that.

Alleah is just a neat, neat person. If I am blessed with another child, I hope that she will be there to help me deliver.  She is a warm part of the journey, and she helped make my birth experience what I wanted it to be:  joyous.

i Met Alleah when I took a prenatal yoga class and she was the instructor. From the very first class, I loved her approach. She knows a lot about physiology and helped me through the physical ails of my entire pregnancy. When my husband and I decided we needed help during labor and wanted to hire a doula, she was an obvious choice. I knew her warmth and strength and positive spirit would help me immensely during labor. And I was right! I had to be induced and underwent 51 hours of labor followed unfortunately by a C section. alleah kept me sane throughout. She was a rock for my husband and both helped to calm me and give me the strength to stick things out without the epidural fir a very long time. She knew that brushing my hair relaxed me -- and did so for hours! I recommend her highly.

We cannot recommend Alleah enough - she is the only reason I was able to have a natural childbirth without an epidural.  She taught us techniques for labor ahead of time and recommended helpful reading to prepare for birth.  She was excellent in the delivery room - giving jobs to my husband and my mom, giving us guidance when requested, and keeping everyone upbeat and engaged.  She was always ready with a new position or idea to help handle the contractions and gave me an excellent back massage when my back started to hurt.  She was a calm, supportive, and encouraging presence throughout the labor process.  We will definitely be seeking her out for our next baby.

Alleah was everything we hoped for & then some!!! I met Alleah at prenatal yoga (I highly recommend her for yoga as well!). She was a sub for my fave instructor & I later would see her again at a Doula Meet & Greet event. Alleah's energy & her knowledge base, presented at the Meet & Greet event would be the catalyst for us to ask her to assist us on this spiritual journey of birthing our son. Unlike other Doula's in our area, Alleah had a vast knowledge base & a multitude of offerings (group & private yoga, partnership workshops, baby wearing, birth photography, etc.) and certifications to not only equip us for delivery, but to get us through the first trimester and beyond postpartum.  While most Doula's are only available in the delivery room, Alleah set us up to be prepared not only physically but, mentally and spiritually throughout our pregnancy AND postpartum. Through our private prenatal yoga sessions, partnership workshops to prepare for delivery, to book and dvd recommendations, and our one on one meetings to go over mantra's, birth plans and discussions about what we truly wanted out of this experience, Alleah helped us to create the perfect mindset for us to face whatever would come our way on game day! She not only focused on me, but also, the dad to be. She made sure he was mentally and physically prepared. While most Doula's focus solely on the mom, Alleah knew it would take a team effort to get Bean here safe and sound, so she made sure dad to be, was included in our sessions and was practicing techniques we learned at her partnership workshop. On delivery day, Alleah was our biggest advocate! She was knowledgeable about positions that ensured a smooth delivery and because we discussed our birth plan & what we wanted from the day, she was able to speak on our behalf when we were unable to speak. Alleah truly prepared us to have a phenomenal experience and to birth without fear!!! We HIGHLY recommend Alleah!!!

We were delighted by Alleah's support leading up to, during and after my labor. As a first time mother I felt supported and empowered despite some challenges that arose including the need to induce labor. With her support I was proud to have an otherwise unmedicated birth. Alleah has a unique skill set blending yoga, birth care services & post partum support that my wife and I greatly appreciated. We loved engaging in birth prep yoga classes with her both in group and personalized settings. We also benefitted from her guidance with baby-wearing and setting up our breastfeeding/pumping systems after our son's birth. Overall we highly recommend Alleah and feel grateful was part welcoming our into the world.
