I am a first time mom and from the beginning I knew I wanted a Doula. I searched and found Lane she was a God send throughout my pregnancy and labor. She was a great resource during pregnancy. I had a very hard pregnancy dealing with every possible symptom a woman can experience. Lane was there along the way to help offer solutions to help me get through those tough symptoms. We met throughout the 2nd and third trimester; which gave me some extra support and helped me plan what I wanted for my birth experience. As usual the baby didn't follow the plans that I wanted, which is why I'm so glad I had Lane. I labored for 40 hours! Lane started with me at home and as I progressed we went to Labor of Love Birthing Center  (Lutz,FL).  After not progressing further at the Birthing Center I was then transferred to Tampa General Hospital. We found out that the baby had flipped and become breeched causing my lack of progress. My water had broken and there was a lot of meconium so we couldn't try to turn her. So I ended up having an emergency c-section. All of this could have been quite scary to me as it was my first time experiencing this whole process. Having Lane there to talk me through, support me and my husband was such a blessing. She really took the scary parts away and kept me comfortable. I felt informed but was never stressed by the situations. Durring labor and contractions she had million different tips and tricks to help ease pain and keep me going those 40 hours. My husband loved having her there to support me, she gave him suggestions on how to best help me throughout the process. Now in the recovery stage of my c-section she has checked in on me to make sure I'm doing well. I truly feel supported, loved and was able to relax with Lane's help through my journey of my first pregnancy. I would highly recommend Lane to anyone looking for a Doula. I couldn't have made it without her being there for me and my family. You will not regret hiring her!

This was my second child and with the first I didn't have a doula..... This time I experienced a lot of pain and I was searching for some relief. Someone told me about a doula and recommended Lane (I was 37 weeks when I heard about her). She called me and talked to me and explained what a doula does and how it all works along with some exercises and stretches to help relieve some pain for me. My husband was not so into having a doula so we decided not to. The next week I went into labor.... Until this happend Lane txtd me and checked on me every other day to see how I was doing and ask if the exercises helped. my water broke at 9am and I went to the hospital around 11am, I txtd Lane and just let her know..... She said to call if I needed her... After a few hours the doctors wouldn't let me eat and wouldn't let me get out of bed even though I asked... I told Lane and she quickly responded... "On my way!" She arrived and right off the bat I felt much better.. I got out of bed and on the yoga ball and she helped me breathe and focus and the contraction pain went from 10 to about a 6 because she kept me so calm and focused! My husband quickly changed his mind about a doula Because he was able to look me in the eyes and tell me everything was going to be okay while Lane kept me breathing. The experience was so awesome, and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone expecting!

Lane Furey was a huge help in the birth of my second child.  Land aided me not just physically, but also mentally.  Lane helped me to find the position I was most comfortable with, rubbed me down with a cold cloth, held my hand and have me the confidence that I needed to get thru the birth.  She not only helped me, but catered to my five year old son and husband, which meant the world to me.

Lane went above and beyond and was a true servant! She was so kind and thoughtful. Lane did what I needed when I needed it. I was so fortunate to have her as my doula and look forward to using her services again! Lane helped me through the challenges of a long labor. She stepped up when my husband needed a break. I will always be so thankful I chose to have her as my doula. I would highly recommend her if you are considering having a doula, and if you arent sold on it, contact her with your questions.

Lane was our doula for our second child's birth in July 2015.  She is very warm, compassionate, peaceful, kind, and understanding.  She is very in tune to the needs of her clients.  Lane met with us while I was pregnant to review our birth plan and determine what needs we might have before labor, during labor, and at our birth.  Lane was readily available via phone to discuss any questions or concerns we had in regards to her services.  When I went post date with my daughter, Lane helped us to remain peaceful and calm while waiting for labor to begin.  Once labor began, Lane was in constant communication with us via phone until the time she arrived.  Lane was extremely prepared: she had adequate birth supplies, music, and other relaxation items.  During labor, Lane was able to provide hands on assistance to me without the need for direct instruction.  She helped time contractions, provided massage, and reminded me to go to the bathroom.  She provided encouragement by letting me know approximately how long each contraction would last and tell me when it was approximately half over.  In between contractions she provided loving encouragement and peaceful reminders that we were doing well.  Having Lane present at our birth also allowed my husband to get some much needed rest when the labor went on through the night.  When we ended up transferring from the birth center to a hospital, Lane was willing and able to adapt to the situation and quickly followed us to the hospital.  She continued to provide outstanding support even with a few difficult circumstances.   After Lane left, my husband and I discussed how we possibly had our first child without her support.  We would definitely utilize her services again.
