Caley was a blessing to have by my side during my birth. From pre-birth to the delivery room, she was talking me through different options during birth and walking me and my husband through different potential outcomes. She clearly was only there to support me and my wishes as much as possible. During the birth, this woman stood with me for two hours in the shower, trying to guide me through contractions. She was there to not only offer verbal support, but helped to progress my labor as naturally as possible through suggesting different positions, stretches, and aromatherapy. She was present every single moment that I needed her to be. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
Caley truly puts her heart into her work as a doula and placenta encapsulation specialist. Her compassion, encouragement, and knowledge enables mothers and their partners to feel safe, nurtured, and empowered. She adapts effortlessly to any birth experience or location, and is truly devoted to supporting families before, during, and after birth. Caley is the perfect mixture of a trained professional, a dear friend, and a loving mother all wrapped into one amazing package!
Caley is a fantastic resource both in birth and postpartum. I have worked with her for 3 years and love everything about her. She is knowledgeable in breastfeeding, placenta encapsulation, special needs, and cesarean births. Her lighthearted demeanor and gentle touch relax all her clients. A truly remarkable doula!
...Beautiful Caley made it possible for me to achieve the birth I mourned for after a c section. She helped take away the doubt and fear in my mind. She trusts the womans body to do what is was made to do and that is a rare thing these days. Every step of the way Caleys adittude was that of calm supportive servitude. She literally was the hands and feet of my birth and i dont think i could have made it through a successful vbac of a 9lb 12oz baby girl without her encouraging and cheering me on. She tended to anything and everything she could for me and my labor was 2 days long. Although i was in a hospital Caley made me feel safe and secure. She has an amazing wealth of knowledge to help you get through your pain in labor and to strive to the finish and bring your baby into the world. She is an abundance of positive and joyful serene energy to have at your birth. My baby girl wouldnt have come into this world the way she did without Caley. Natural labor is just that its a laboring process it helps so much to have the right person there to guide you help you manage your mind over your pain Caley is that person. If you are on the fence about a doula just meet with Caley she put my mind at ease on the first night i met her. She listens to your story your needs and your worries. She carries out the love and respect a laboring mother deserves to have at her side when bringing a new life into this world, she treats it as the miracle that it is. Im on my 3rd baby and hoping now to use her again for my homebirth she has empowered me to be brave enough to trust my body to the fullest extent to be able to bring my baby into the world stress and drug free and I love her very much for that. She made beautiful placenta prints for me and tpok the utmost care of the afterbirth ect for me. Thank you Caley May God richly bless you in life and your future miracles of life :)
I felt so lucky to have Caley as one of my Doulas. She was "on call" during the bulk of my laboring and she was such a tremendous help, and one of the main reasons that I was able to achieve my goal of a VBAC! She was not only there with helpful suggestilns and massages, but she supported my husband in supporting me and worked wonderfully with the nurses. She brought Christmas lights with her to have on in the room so that we could use those instead of the harsh hospital lights and even brought her diffuser and essential oils (although I was too sensitive to smells to use them!). Her calm demeanor and helpful personality ensured that my husband and I both remained as calm as possible as well. I would absolutely recommend Caley (and Marissa!) of A Joyful Journey to anyone that is looking to use the services of a Doula and beyond! She also encapsulated my placenta for me through her other business, and although this is my only experience with placenta encapsulation, I am definitely very happy with the results! I am now four weeks post partum and they are still checking in on me. :) It feels wonderful to have this much support throughout he entire time I've known her! Thank you, Caley!!
I am beyond happy with the services Caley provided for me after my second child was born. She provided me with placenta encapsulation, as well a placenta print and tincture. All services were done in my own home, which I was extremely happy to be given the option to do. Caley was very thorough, organized, and made sure her work surfaces were clean and disinfected (before and after). I am grateful to have discovered Caley''s services and would definitely use her again as well as recommend her to others. She does an exceptional job and even touched base with me after I began taking my placenta capsues to see how I was doing. I could not have asked for a better experience!
I am so grateful to have had Caley present with us during labor and delivery. She was such a calm, steady presence while encouraging me through contractions. She was never intrusive, rather worked along side my husband to support me by providing massage, suggesting different positions, and preparing a soothing environment. Her visits before and after were informative and have allowed us to feel at ease throughout this experience.
Caley was an amazing support throughout my entire pregnancy. She was there for me to meet with me and discuss my birth plan on numerous occasions. She also was very informative and was able to guide me though various parts of the birth plan that I was previously uninformed about.
She was supportive and resourceful during my actual labor and delivery. Caley was an advocate for me and my husband and our wishes regarding our child's birth. There was a high turnover of nurses and Caley spoke up numerous times to ensure they knew our wishes in terms of no medication and delayed cord clamping. Also, they tried to do numerous cervical checks, but Caley advocated for the safety of our baby since my water bag was broken and the risk for infection increased. In addition, she was persistent in getting a breast pump for me for natural induction when the hospital staff seemed reluctant. She also had a tool kit of resources she brought on her own, such as a birthing ball and peppermint essential oils to reduce nausea.
She was by my side throughout my entire labor, including when it was down to the wire. When my hand went numb, she was right there massaging it and supporting and reminding me of my original wishes of a medication free child birth.
Following the birth, Caley prepared my placenta through encapsulation. She has checked in with me daily to ensure we are emotionally and physically okay. She also offered very insightful support regarding breast feeding.
I highly recommend Caley as a doula, placenta encapsulator, and lactation consultant. I could not have been happier. She will definitely be by my side in the event of another pregnancy!
Kelly was amazing, she was very nice and kind to me while talking about a birth plan. She was understanding with the needs and wants for my baby that I had. She helped find out what kind of oils and things that made me comfortable during the birthing process.very supportive at all times. Bent over backwards to fulfill my requests and needs. Very accurate at paying attention to detail, and being reliable. Every question of mine she answered fully and pUT me at ease. I really appreciate her being there for me. My experience was top notch, and would recommend and use again!! Thank you so very very much.
