Monique was very patient and helpful. She did a few visits before my due date and gave a lot of tips for exercise. She discussed my preferences for pain medication, skin to skin and other things related to labor and created a birth plan to give to the hospital staff on the day.
On the day, my labor was very quick so by the time she arrived I was almost fully dilated. When my husband communicated my symptoms on the day, she was not very willing to come over until I was in active labour. I wish she had arrived as soon as my contractions began. We felt a little disappointed with this. She definitely needs to works on this in the future.
She helped me during the last phase and during the push. She was very caring and worked in an amicable way with the hospital staff.
She did a postpartum visit to check how the baby and I were doing.
