Hire Sarah as your doula. You won't regret it. Sarah was an indispensable part of our birth team. From our first meeting on Zoom, her warm energy and expertise as a doula came through. Our plan was for an unmedicated birth at Mount Auburn Hospital, and it was nice to know that Sarah had attended many births there and helped other moms planning to use hypnobirthing techniques. We hired Sarah around week 15 of our pregnancy. From then on she was very quick to reply to questions and concerns and met with us to go over our birth preferences and talk about the labor process. When I was faced with a possible induction at 38 weeks, Sarah immediately got on the phone with me to talk through the situation and helped me to calmly assess my choices. She kept in close contact with us until I went into labor naturally three days later. As my labor progressed, Sarah corresponded with my husband and arrived at the hospital as I was approaching transition, which was perfect timing. With the hospital's shift change, Sarah was even able to request a particular nurse for our room who was also amazing. After our son was born, Sarah stayed with us past midnight, helping with his first feeding while simultaneously feeding me my first postpartum meal, which included fresh strawberries Sarah brought from a local farm. In the days following the birth, Sarah continued to check in on us and visited our home for a debrief. After our experience with Sarah, my husband started referring to himself as a "doula evangelist."

It was so incredibly helpful to have Sarah support my birthing experience as a first time mom. With her support I was able to have the positive birthing experience I had hoped for. Sarah was highly recommended to me by a friend. She was so warm and easy to talk to that I immediately decided not to bother calling any other doulas! Sarah has a lot of qualities that make her wonderful for coaching a birthing person and birthing partners; she is knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, funny (with a great laugh!), reassuring, nonjudgmental, and (importantly) honest and straightforward when you ask her opinion. My partner felt confident under her guidance in supporting me. During my pregnancy, she responded to my texts quickly and was always available to answer my many questions. Sarah talked us through early labor at home, calmed and coached me through intense sensations, and helped take out the guesswork about when/how to transition to the hospital. Once at the hospital, Sarah helped me navigate all the care choices there and was an enthusiastic cheerleader/coach in my corner. She also was available after birth for further support and visited us all with lunch and a sweet gift once we were settled in at home! We (partner, baby, and I) are so happy we chose to birth with her support.

I am so thankful to have had Sarah's support during our pregnancy and the birth of our first child. Sarah met with us prior to birth and helped clear up any misunderstandings and unknowns about the hospital birthing process. She dymistified what to expect and we felt confident going in to our experience.

Although I ended up having to be induced and then ultimately have a medically-necessary c-section, Sarah was still just as helpful in the process as if I had a traditional vaginal birth. Sarah advocated for me and my birth partner when we had concerns about nurses and certain decisions at a time when I'm not sure I would have had the strength to do so myself, and for that I am eternally grateful.

I will forever be thankful for Sarah's presence in the hospital, as well as her support before and after our delivery. She is a strong, intelligent, caring, approachable, and knowledgable doula. She knows her stuff, and is open, honest, and completely non judgemental.

Sarah supported me through the birth of both of my sons.  Whether providing hands on support, telling funny stories to distract me, or encouraging me throughout labor and delivery, Sarah was there for me and played a vital role in two positive birthing experiences.  As my husband likes to say, we couldnt have done it without her--and he is very right!  She is a wealth of knowledge on all things prenatal and postnatal as well.

We highly recommend Sarah! Sarah has a down-to-earth, open and positive approach to childbirth. I loved that she has a background in yoga/mindfulness (and was lucky enough to take yoga with her during my pregnancy which I also recommend!). She met with us during the pregnancy and was phenomenal during the birth of our son! She supported me - and my partner - and we are so grateful she was with us every step of the way.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Sarah is. She’s exactly what you need at your birth: a confident, supportive, knowledgeable, grounded and encouraging partner.

Sarah immediately made me feel at ease during our prenatal visits with her humor, warmth and the questions she asked. I felt listened to and supported in all my preferences and choices. When it came to the actual birth, Sarah made both me and my partner feel safe and empowered. She helped explain my options, helped us both keep perspective and grounded. Sarah helped my partner with hands-on assists, held me through contractions and helped me find ease in between them and then lovingly guided me through pushing to finally get to hold my baby

I couldn’t imagine having the birth I had without Sarah. She helped shaped the experience I had been dreaming about for years. Our family feels so blessed she was apart of those tender, beautiful hours. We can’t wait to work with her again :)

Sarah was hands down the best decision I made for the birth of my second baby.  I didn't have a doula for my first birth (which resulted in a C-Section) and for my second it was something I knew that I needed.  From the very first conversation, I felt extremely comfortable and at-home with Sarah.  She makes you feel completely empowered, while also being very empathetic and having a great sense of humor.  She's great at transitioning from light-hearted and joking to getting down to business and helping you make some serious decisions during a very vulnerable time.  I had a lot of hard decisions to make throughout my birth experience, and Sarah truly helped me talk through all of those decisions, weigh the pros and cons, and make me feel confident in the path I was taking for me and my baby.  She integrated seemlessly with the nurses at the hospital and during labor, she was physically hands on (which I wanted) and helped me incorporate some spinning babies movements to get my baby into position.  While I ended up with another unplanned c-section, she helped me feel like I did everything possible to work toward getting a VBAC, which I cannot say about my first birth.  After the surgery, Sarah stayed with me in the recovery room and took care of me while I felt very ill, while my husband was with our baby in the nursery and she then helped me advocate for my baby to be brought back to me while I was recovering.  Despite my birth not going as planned, Sarah also really helped me to process the events of the birth after the fact.  She is such a delight and the perfect blend of supportive and fun and I absolutely plan to have her on my birth team for any future births.

I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah. I'm so happy she was my doula. She has a beautiful combination of a gentle presence, humor, and a straightforward no-nonsense way of communicating that helped me have an empowering experience. She helped my partner and I clarify our wishes early on, and was the calm steady presence while everything was moving rapidly during my birth. Sarah was there asking questions I wouldn't have known to ask and helping my partner and me advocate for my wishes. She reminded me many many times to breathe, when I kept forgetting and held my breath. Sarah is a fantastic doula to help support you during pregnancy and birth.

We had such a wonderful experience with Sarah as our doula. Leading up to labor, she was a warm, comforting presence who helped us feel informed and ready for labor. She walked us through what to expect, answered all of our questions, and made us feel incredibly empowered about our birth experience. On the day I went into labor, Sarah was in constant communication, and arrived exactly when we needed her to. My labor was very fast, and she played a key role in getting us to the hospital on time. I am not sure what we would have done without her. She made me feel incredibly safe, empowered, and ready to give birth. After the birth, Sarah spent a few hours with us debriefing, which was also wonderful. There's zero doubt in my mind that if we have a second baby, we'll want Sarah there!
