I am a first-time mom, and I knew as soon as I got pregnant  that I wanted a Doula.  After meeting Katie for the first time I knew that we would get along great, and that she would respect my wishes for the labor and delivery  that  I wanted.  Katie was available to me throughout my pregnancy to answer questions, which was wonderful as this is my first pregnancy to term.

During labor Katie was instrumental  to me and my husband.  She was extremely attentive, knew just what to say and  when,  and was able to think of techniques to help you relax on the fly.  Throughout labor my birth plan changed a little bit, and she showed no hesitation on how to handle everything that came our way.

After delivery Katie stayed with us for a little bit, came to visit us the next day, and then met up with us one more time a week later.  Being a first-time mom is extremely worrisome and I know if I have any questions I can always reach out to her.  My husband never questioned me getting a Doula but I think he absolutely understands now why I needed one after he saw what Katie does.

I will be recommending Katie to all of my friends and family that are interested in a do a service, and of course with any other future pregnancies she will be first on my call list!!!

Katie is excellent!

From the moment we met we felt totally comfortable and hired her on the spot with out interviewing anyone else. She is chock full of information about pregnancy, breastfeeding and techniques to ease labor. My labor and delivery was super fast and easy in part because Katie really helped to put my mind at ease and I stayed very relaxed through early labor.

We will definitely be retaining Katie for our next bambino!

We hired Katie for our third birth. All three births were natural but without a doubt Katie made this third birth the best experience of the lot. Having taken Brio birthing classes five years ago I knew my husband and I would need reminders and current advice to keep the labor moving along smoothly so we hired Katie. This was my second successful homebirth and for the majority of the labor she was the main support. She was well trained in ways to help get the contractions coming regularly and in relieving terrible back labor. Katie was able to help me relax and gave reassuring comments that I believed really helped to speed up the delivery process. She was such a support through the whole experience, keeping calm through what may have been very stressful situation. Although the labor in total was fifteen hours I honestly believe that she helped take several hours off of the total time especially the active labor because she was so great at keeping me calm. I had never been so relaxed during the active labor and had to push so few times (two pushes for a 10lb. 4oz. baby). After this birth I can't imagine going through labor again without Katie. I did not need an epidural when I had my epic-doula!

I found Katie through doula match for my first (so far only) pregnancy. I knew I wanted a doula but was so lost and kinda confused about the process. Katie was awesome and I knew she was the doula for me the moment we started emailing. She is warm and kind and so helpful. I didn't realize what a wealth of knowledge she would be and I am so grateful to have found her. I was induced and had some pretty rough pain. My husband said we are never having another baby without Katie bc she knew exactly what I needed to do and how to best help me through the process. She took the place of a mother figure which was a role I needed filled. She was also like a best friend and sister through various stages of the process. I ended up having a c section and was so upset that the labor had not gone my way. Katie was able to help me see the sulcer lining that in an hour I would be seeing my son. She stayed with my husband and kept him calm while I was taken to be prepared for the surgery. She even came by after the surgery to check on us all. I really feel like we could have laid her a million dollars and still have gotten the deal of the century. I am so grateful to have found her and would recommend Katie to anyone in need of an amazing doula.

I didn't have a doula for my first birth and the experiance was night and day with my second birth with Katie as my doula. She was supportive and motivating every step of the way. She went with the follow of laboring experiance and made suggestions along the way to move the labor forward. However, the baby didn't have the same plan we did and was born via c-section. Even as our plans changed Katie continued to be a great support in the room always wanting the best for me and the baby. She stayed at the hospital till we got out of recovery to make sure that we were all well. She followed up at the hospital and again at home. My recovery has been great and i credit it to the strength and support I've had along the way. Katie went far beyond the call of duty.
