Laura was AMAZING! My husband and I were newbies but, with Laura’s help we conquered our labor experience like pros! She helped me to stay relaxed and reminded me that my body was able to accomplish anything. I can’t thank her enough and would recommend her to everyone considering the Bradley Method!
Laura is wonderful. From the moment my husband and I met her, we knew she would be a supportive presence at our birth and she 100% exceeded expectations. I couldn’t imagine giving birth without her by my side.
Laura was there with us through the birth of both of our sons. As a first time mom, I was nervous and scared. I knew that I wanted a natural, intervention free birth but didn’t think I was going to be able to handle the pain. Laura was comforting and reassuring throughout labor and delivery, reminding me that I could do it. She validated what I was feeling and made suggestions to help ease the pain - from heat packs to counter pressure to laboring in different positions. I look back at both of my labors with so much fondness because of her support. She asked the necessary questions to understand what my husband and I wanted and created a safe space for me to labor in exactly how I needed to as each phase of labor progressed. She advocated for me and when met with questions I didn’t understand, she explained what medical staff was asking. During the birth of my second child, she was there helping my husband and loving on my 18 month old in addition to comforting me. She made my births some of my favorite memories to look back on.
After my first son was born, he had some unexpected complications and needed to be taken to the NICU. Laura stayed with me until I could be reunited with my husband and son. I will never forget her kindness, love, and support through that scary time.
Laura checked in with us several times following birth, encouraging us as new sleep deprived parents. When she came over for a postpartum visit, it felt like family was visiting. Laura is truly an incredible person and doula and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any woman.
Laura was truly a blessing for my family. I don't know how we would have weathered my long labor without her. I was a first-time mom and didn't know what to expect, and she helped me cope every step of the way - along with providing my husband the emotional support he needed. She is rock solid, and her coaching and encouragement was instrumental in getting our daughter here. Laura is a strong and unflappable person, and my husband and I will always be grateful to her. Her patience, endurance, tenacity and tenderness helped guide my birth. On top of that, Laura has a great sense of humor and a fun personality, and I found myself unexpectedly cracking wise with her during contractions. Laura followed up with me multiple times after the birth to ensure I was adjusting OK, and she helped me with several baby related referrals. I can't say enough good things about her, and we are so glad for her. Thank you, Laura!
Laura is such an amazing doula! She was willing to drive a long distance to be there with me - leaving as soon as I texted her. This was my first child and my husband and I were pretty nervous when it was "showtime." He didn't know what to do other than look at me with pity and hold my hand. Laura was there to help with my anxiety and guide me through this very scary and emotional time. She gave me water and massaged my back. She helped me communicate with the nurses and doctors and guests. She didn't leave until I was ready. My husband even made sure to thank her personally over and over again, saying "You really made a difference in there." And she did. I know that Laura will be there for the birth of every future child I have.
