Te-Ana is an amazing doula! Both my husband and I can attest to Te-Ana’s ability and knowledge. Her presence during the birth of our son was a tremendous help. This was our first pregnancy and we both wanted to have an experienced and encouraging coach to help us along the way. I initially wanted to have a natural childbirth. However, in my very last trimester we were told we would have to deliver via C-section. Te-Ana not only continued to work with us but also stepped right in to answer the barrage of questions we had, as well as serve as an advocate on our behalf. She truly was a part of the medical team, making herself accessible at all hours of the day. Te-Ana was helpful in educating us in what to expect in the weeks leading up to the birth, the childbirth process itself, and what to expect postpartum. Our Son, Austin, was born at Lennox hill hospital. Two borough’s away from Te-Ana. Despite that, Te-Ana arrived at the hospital 45 minutes before we did, as we informed her once I knew I suspected I was going into labor. Te-Ana was very professional and nurturing throughout the labor and delivery. She kept my husband and I calm as we were prepped for surgery. Once in the recovery room Te-Ana was actively present. (Continued from above) She welcomed baby Austin and guided me on how to breastfeed. Te-Ana explained every step and procedure that was done, mostly without an explanation from the hospital staff. I found her coaching, and knowledge to be superior to my nurses. Te-Ana was quick to ask questions and make suggestions that were in my best interest. While a C-section was not how my husband and I intended to bring our Son into the world, Te-Ana helped us achieve our ideal labor and delivery as best as possible. She is awesome and we recommend her highly. Thanks so much Te-Ana! I learned more about pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care from my meetings with Te-Ana than any class or book. She was a constant support checking in with me every day and being available to answer all my questions. After Austin came home, Te-Ana provided postpartum visits and support. As a new Mom I had many questions and concerns and Te-Ana answered each one. Fast-forward 10 months later, Te-Ana is still a wonderful source of support. Still answering questions and even providing care for Austin as I completed my MBA. I can’t say enough good things about her. Te-Ana was a wonderful doula, and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She was responsive, even in the middle of the night, and she was our advocate in the hospital and helped explain the procedures to us in ways that were easy to understand during such a stressful time. She was an excellent support for us and extremely valuable. At first, we did not consider a doula, but looking back, I am so glad that we decided that Te-Ana was part of our birth plan!

Te-Ana was wonderful from beginning to end. Friendly, knowledgble and a real trooper! She was calm and comforting during my long labor and we still managed to have fun between contractions. This doula knows what she's doing and anyone would be lucky to have her services! My family and I will be forever grareful for her help.

Te-Ana started off as my Doula but now I consider her my family. We came together about 3 weeks before my delivery, the services she provided me with were invaluable to say the least. It was my first baby and wanted to do the bet job so i established a birth plan before our meeting.

And although being the most experience of the two of us and a mother herself, she never tried to take over, or control the situation. She was always open to working fully with my wishes as long as it did not put myself or my unborn baby in jeapoardy.

My beautiful baby girl came in October and on the day of her birth, it did not quite go as planned.  So my baby was a home birth and thanks to god and Te-Ana all went well. Te-Ana was a tower of strenght, support, skill and it never showed in the way she handled the situation, that this was her first experienced with a birth like that of my daughter.

I have no doubt that she would be of great service to any mother that wishes to untlize her excellent skills. She would be caring, understanding, a tower of strenght and a good advocate. She is also versatile enough on her own or as a member of their birthing team. I fully recommend her.
