Jade is the cream of the crop! She was highly communicative, highly knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, and all the other adjectives you're looking for in a doula. :) I would HIGHLY recommend Jade as your doula - in fact, I often recommend her to friends. She truly made a significant difference in our birthing experience.

When my husband and I decided to hire a doula, we approached it much like we did our wedding. We love planning and organizing things ourselves, but on the big day, we knew we needed someone to help make everything go smoothly. That’s exactly what Jade did for us during the birth of our daughter, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Throughout my pregnancy, I spent a lot of time educating myself and didn’t feel like I needed much additional support. But during labor, Jade’s presence was invaluable. She kept in close contact from the start, came to our home during early labor, and gave us the confidence we needed to stick to my goal of laboring long at home. Her calming support was a huge relief for my husband, who could focus on being present rather than worrying about logistics.

Jade’s connections in the Montclair area were also incredibly helpful. She knew the hospital setting, had a good relationship with my midwife, and even communicated with her before we arrived. Having that level of familiarity was so reassuring.

During labor, Jade took the lead with coaching and encouragement in ways I expected the medical team to handle but found her stepping in seamlessly. She was always a step ahead, making sure I felt supported at every turn. She also brought props to th hospital that were very helpful during labor. 

Her help didn’t end after birth, either. Jade was instrumental in supporting me with lactation, supporting my breastfeeding journey.

If you’re looking for someone who is warm, resourceful, and will truly have your back on one of the most important days of your life, I can’t recommend Jade enough. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made!

Jade was the most incredible support system for us pre, during, and post labor! She is a wealth of knowledge and always shares so many amazing resources. She was always available for support and answered every question I had. I could not recommend her more!!! Our daughter is here and happy with a large thanks to her!

The day I went into labor, I may have told Jade how far apart my contractions were later than I intended. Looking back at it, when you're about to be a first-time mom and are being told that you can give birth at any second while still standing in your living room, and with the birth center at least a half hour away, that easily could've been a very anxiety-inducing situation. Thanks to her calm demeanor, she kept both my husband and I at ease while she explained what was happening and would happen next. Having her by my side truly made all the difference.

I always say that one of the best decisions I've made for our family was choosing Jade to be our doula. She has such a positive, bright aura. I instantly felt comforable with her and knew I could trust her to help me achieve my birth goals. I knew that if I asked her something, she would give me her honest opinion. She also has a great way of making you feel empowered and reminding you of the amazing things your pregnant body is doing, and to just trust your body and your baby. Jade truly went above and beyond for all of us, especially in the first week postpartum where we needed it the most. My husband and I are forever grateful for the support we received from Jade before, during and after my birth. If baby #2 comes along, I know who my first call is going to be.

Jade is knowledgeable, compassionate, and was an amazing support to my husband and I throughout my birth journey. As a third time mom with two traumatic birth experiences, I knew I needed a professional if I wanted to have my "dream" birth. She felt like a true partner throughout my pregnancy, during our hospital birth, and postpartum. She assisted with everything from nursing to baby sleep schedules and navigating an infant tongue tie. Her wealth of knowledge is based on her years of practicing in this field with a wide demographic of mothers as well as her own experiences as a mother of two young boys. She is truly one in a million; I could not have asked for a better doula and thank my lucky stars that she gave me the most MAGICAL birthing experience and my first with no epidural! I am forever grateful the universe brought me Jade!

As a newly expecting mom and previous c-section survivor it was important to me to prepare for a natural delivery the second time around. Although nervous and somewhat anxious about the road ahead I decided it would be best to work with a professional; someone who would be able to coach me through and provide support during my trial of labor. When I contacted Jade I knew immediately that I wanted to work with her. Her energy was calming and she spoke with me for 45 minutes before we made any arrangements to proceed. When I explained my first birth story she automatically offered information and insight that no one had offered before.

As we began our working relationship Jade not only assured me I could deliver naturally, but made sure I was aware of providers who would support my decision. I initially thought Doula's only offered assistance during labor, but she was so much more than just my birth coach and support person. She really cared about my story and wanted to ensure I received the care and treatment leading up to labor that I was entitled to. When Jade realized that initial provider was not as supportive as they once alluded to, she worked hard to help me identify a Vbac supportive provider the week before my due date. I was able to switch providers in my 39th week and deliver a healthy happy baby boy. This demonstrates her compassion and dedication to those she serves. I learned so much working with Jade and now I feel compelled to share my story with all moms to be.

Jade allowed me to recognize that as women we are in control of our bodies and birth, its our God given right. If it werent for Jade I know I would have ended up with another c section. With her by my side I was able to have a healing birth and share my newly found knowledge with other women who may benefit.

Jade will always be a friend to me :)

It has taken me awhile to fully process, embrace and articulate my second son's birth (he's 10 weeks) and my experience with Jade all of which were amazing and profound and fortunately healthy and quick. I feel beyond blessed that Jade was with us every step of the way as both our doula and full disclosure our friend. One of the things I love most about working with Jade is that she is not only extremely knowledgeable and up to date on the latest evidenced based research, but she supports mamas (and their husbands/partners), to make the best decision for them and their family without judgement. She has a unique ability to read people and their needs, whether it be encouraging a calm and relaxed atmosphere, providing gentle or sometimes more suggestive guidance (she's a great advocate) or backing off completely. Jade's constant (and I mean constant, she was always texting me to check-in or respond to my questions)support allowed me to feel strong and empowered, let go of some emotional and physical barriers that we felt were potentially delaying my L&D all of which led to a birth that I didn't even think was possible -- I caught my baby!!! Postnatally Jade was also the calming, reassuring and knowledgeable presence I needed as we encountered breastfeeding and postpartum issues and helped me connect with additional supports (Dr. for tongue tie, pelvic floor issues, etc.).

Working with Jade was the most incredible experience. Not only was she knowledgeable and accessible well before the birth, she also helped us sit down and figure out our birth plan. When I started having contractions, Jade was in constant contact helping us through 2+ days of prodromal back labor. Without her advice and helpful presence via phone, I don't know how my husband and I would have gotten through those two days. Because she suspected my baby was OP (which she was) Jade came over on the third day and I truly believe it was because of her knowledge of positioning and help that we were finally able to change the baby's position and progress from contractions every 10 minutes to water breaking and headed to the hospital in just a couple hours. Jade is worth her weight in gold and my husband and I don't know how we would have managed without her, especially since this was our first. Jade is also a lactation consultant and helped walk me through breastfeeding and gave me tips that helped me successfully manage my oversupply issues. I cannot recommend her enough. Prenatally, during labor, and postpartum jade gave me the confidence and help I needed to have the birth I wanted and establish a successful breastfeeding relationship. I sing her praises to everyone.

There are so many wonderful things to say about Jade and our experience with her.  We first met at a pre-natal yoga class where I instantly felt a connection with her.  Earlier that day my wife and I decided to go with another doula because it really was time to make a decision but we weren't completely satisfied.  I went home after the yoga class and told my wife "I know we already picked someone but you just have to meet this woman."

The three of us got together and within minutes we knew we had to make the switch!  It was the best decision we ever made.  Jade is incredibly thoughtful and thorough.  She helped me work through my thoughts on many medical decisions and would randomly send text messages to me and my wife to "check in."  She wasn't just checking in though, she was affirming this journey we were on, with positive thoughts and encouragement.  The best part is that when the birth of our son was over and done, Jade became an even more valuable source of information and support.  I never realized how many questions surge after the birth of a child (and I considered us pretty well prepared).  Jade guided us, was a friend during meltdowns, and even made us lunch one day during that first week when we were in the new baby haze and realized we hadn't eaten all day.  She has truely gone above and beyond.  Jade did not only become our doula, but she has become a part of our family!  Meet Jade and you will see for yourself the amazing doula she is.  We love you Jade and wish you the best of luck in your journey!
