OMG! It brings tears of joy to my eyes when I think of Ms Ebony Knight and how awesome having her as my doula was. I have 4 children and she was with me for my last child, my only daughter. I was extremely sick through out the entire pregnancy, I had lost a lot of weight because of my illness, but ever since Ebony entered my life she gave me hope and made me look forward to giving birth to my beautiful daughter. Ebony brought peace and tranquility into a very rough and stressful situatiion. She massaged me, she brushed my hair, we danced together and as insignificant as that may seem it was so calming and my baby was loving it from within. She was my voice when I couldn't get the words out, she was my shoulder to lean on when my husband wasn't there. Ebony is just superb. Because of her I would actually have another child even after my experience with my daughter. I am actually considering becoming a doula myself. Hopefully i can one day make someone else's experience as beautiful and memorable as Ebony made mine. Thank you Ebony, you will always be a part of my daughter's life. We love you. I encourage every mom to be to get an Ebony in their lives. Thank you!
I first met Ebony when i attended the dancing thru pregnancy class that she instructed. I fell in love with her spirit immediately. She has such high energy and was exactly the type of vibe I needed to be around. She informed me that she was a doula which I had no idea of what that was .. But was totally sold on having one by the end of the class. Ebony became my doula and was the best support for my husband and I. She was and still is fantastic.. My son is now 5 months old and Ebony is still in contact with us. We speak regularly and she visits from time to time. Very pleased to have met her and have her as part of our experience and now part of our lives
Greetings I am Merowe Nubyahn, and I had the pleasure of having Ebony Alexander Knights as my doula for my Home Birth experience...Let me just say that Ebony has this amazing ability to shift All situations in to the Most Empowering and Fufilling one. She is Very Compassionate ,Understanding and Supportive.I want to give a brief background of situation.I have had 7 children in total ..5 Birthed Naturally Vaginally ...then the 6th one was delivered prematurely Via Emergency Cesarean Section..I was given what they call a classical incision..where as my uterus was cut both horizontally and vertically. I was traumatized by the whole ordeal ..Fast fwd to the following year i became pregnant with my 7th Child..and immediately upon my first prenatal visit, I was advised that because of my previous Classical Cesarean incisions, that I would not be able to ever go into Labor or Birth Naturally.Doctors explained to me that the risk would be too High of Uterine Rupture...Throughout the whole pregnancy i seeked other Doctors in hopes that id find one that would support my Preference to at Least a Trial Labor. My search was Unsuccessful but then I finally Found a MidWife willing to work with me in spite of My previous csection..I was So Overjoyed and throughout my process of seeking alternative birthing plans Ebony was constantly checking in on me and offering encouragement and assured me that I had her Support in what ever I decided to do.As My Due Date approached she would visit me and suggest certain dance moves that were great exercises....On the day of My delivery Ebony was the first to arrive even before my MidWife. She helped me around the house with my other children..she attended to me so mercifully. ..Overall She Assisted me both physically, mentally and spiritually before..during and even after My HomeBirth..I wish I had a Doula one like Ebony for all my other Birthing experiences.
There arent enough words to describe how grateful I am to have met Ebony, and chosen her as my Doula. When we met, I knew she was the perfect Doula for me, as she never doubted my ability to have a VBAC. I felt at ease knowing she had assisted another mom in a similar situation. At the end of my pregnancy, my doctor unfortunately kept trying to push me into scheduling a repeat C Section. Ebony kept me positive, motivated, and informed about my rights as a mother and patient. The day I went into labor was a very scary day for me . When I saw Ebony walk in the delivery room, a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Ebony kept me relaxed, calm, and encouraged for hours into my labor. She helped me with my breathing while pushing, and I know it is because of her that I was able to have my VBAC. She was truly amazing. It was such a relief an expecting mom to have someone in my corner who cared about me and what I wanted for my birth experience. I never knew what a doula was until i started researching VBAC. I am glad I found Ebony, she helped me have the most beautiful experience of my life.
