Amanda was recommended to us by our Lactation Consultant. The first couple weeks after the birth of our first baby was very emotionally difficult, dealing with a lip and tongue tie, sleep deprivation and postpartum anxiety. Amanda's calming presence second week postpartum helped to allay my fears with advice and a listening ear. She looked after our daughter so I could get some much needed sleep, helped with laundry and dishes, and provided support to us with learning how to be parents. I would wholeheartedly recommend Amanda to any new parent!
We got connected to Amanda at a time when my wife and I were completely overwhelmed by the sleepless nights and constant care of our 11 week old boy/girl twins (5 weeks adjusted age). Feelings of anxiety and depression were overtaking us, and we knew we needed help. She came to our home, listened to us describe our situation, and was instantly the calming presence we needed. She encouraged us to trust our instincts while at the same time talking through options with us. With her help and her answers to our questions, we finally began to feel more confident in our parenting skills.
While at our home, she was wonderful with our babies. She helped us become more comfortable with baby carriers, even helping me wear both twins at the same time! She helped with laundry, made us healthy snacks for us to eat, and provided a list of twin and new parent resources. She was the right person at the right time to provide the support we needed. We highly recommend Amanda!
Amanda was an invaluable teacher, helper, and companion during the postpartum period. I’m a first-time mother of an infant, and being able to rely on Amanda for the millions of questions and new situations that come up was extremely beneficial to my mental health (and probably my physical health too)! She was a great resource about breastfeeding, and she helped me come to terms with having an unexpected c-section after having prepared for a vaginal delivery.
She was amazing with my daughter—I felt extremely comfortable napping while she watched my daughter, and I would wake up to folded laundry or a tidy house! I also really appreciated her help with small organization projects that helped me feel some sense of control in those first few months. I recommend her services wholeheartedly!
