Hiring Bridget as our Doula was one of the best decisions my husband and I have made in bringing our baby into the world! We were referrred by a friend and from the moment we met her, we were drawn to Bridgett's personality and felt so comfortable with her. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and baby and was available to us all hours of the day for questions and concerns via email, text, or phone call.

Through out our pregnancy, Bridget visited us multiple times and prepared us for what was to come through this season of life. We put together a birth plan, she provided different techniques and positions to help with discomforts of being pregnant, prepared us for what was going to happen at the hospital, gave us breastfeeding tips and tricks, and assured us that everything would be okay every step of the way.

She was there the day of the birth and was so loving and motivating through the whole process. Once baby was born, she hung around to make sure baby was healthy, that we were comfortable, and all questions/concerns were addressed. She even helped with making sure that I was comfortable breast feeding and teaching how to get a good latch.

Bridget was an incredible person to work with and we are so thankful to have found her. I would highly recommed her to anyone thinking about hiring a Doula! We felt so comfortable and prepared for this new life journey because of her!

Having Bridget accompany and guide us through our third birth (our second with her) was everything we wanted as parents.

My labor was precipitous, which means that all of us needed to be on our A-game. Bridget was just that-- quick to meet us at the hospital, easy to get up to speed, and intuitively ahead of me/my husband in anticipating needs.

I can't recommend Bridget enough.

As a same sex couple, it was really important to us that we had a Doula that was LGBTQ+ inclusive, and Bridget is that! She used the correct terminology (moms, non-birthing parent, donor, etc) which seems small, but was much appreciated and made us feel accepted and safe in working with her. Bridget is extremely knowledgeable from both her vast personal experience on birthing and parenting and from her professional experience and expertise. That was very apparent in our first meeting. She is also very friendly, funny, down-to-earth, and professional. She was always on time for our meetings, was more than willing to accommodate to our schedules, and was always available promptly via text message and phone calls. Another thing that my wife and I really appreciated was that Bridget’s philosophy is “this is your birthing experience, and I am here to make that experience happen”. Whatever you want in your birth plan (medicines, epidurals, chord decisions, etc) is your choice, and she is supportive in any decision you choose. She is very diplomatic in giving you the facts on different choices in a birthing plan, the potential pros and cons, and letting you decide on what you want to do without pressuring or feeling like she is swaying you one way or another. During the delivery she was absolutely INVALUABLE. She got us through some situations that were not on our birth plan with compassion, grace, and calmness. As the non-birthing parent, I would also just like to add she was extremely supportive of myself, and my emotional needs, often checking in on me periodically during the delivery. She also has great tips for the non-birthing parents or partners. Her emotional intelligence is off the charts, and I reflected after the delivery how much I needed her there as well. For what she provides, the investment is beyond worth it, and very reasonable. If you are considering her, you won’t regret choosing her!

After having 2 babies, my first being a very long labor, but ultimately a natural, vaginal birth and then a C-section due to breech position, I knew I wanted a VBAC. I am so glad that I found Bridget early on in my pregnancy. I have never had a doula before and am so happy that I did. During my pregnancy, birth and afterwards, Bridget was so supportive through everything. The few weeks leading up to the birth of my daughter, I had a few moments where I wasn't sure if I needed to go in the doctor and Bridget was just a phone call away to talk me through my options. It gave me the peace of mind to know to trust my body through the birthing process. As soon as I knew we were going to the hospital, I called Bridget and she met us at the hospital as I was being checked out in triage. She immediately jumped in to help provide me with support and much needed relief. Throughout the birth, which was much much shorter than my first, Bridget helped guide me through the contractions gently. Knowing she was there, helped me relax and focus on the birth and not worry about everything else. I got my VBAC!!!!!! Even though it was my 3rd child, I know that the birth would not have gone as smoothly as it did without Bridget and if my husband and I decide to have another, I will be calling Bridget!

We loved working with Bridget - she was amazing! This was our first child and I was looking for a doula who inspired confidence but was also warm and kind. Bridget was always willing to answer questions and was also very well organized. She was also an awesome advocate for me during my labor process. She not only made sure that she had our back when it came to priorities and wishes even when the birthing plan went out the window (like it always does), she also coached both myself and my husband through the most intense life experience we've ever had. Her experience is also impressive. I had really terrible back labor and she knew that the baby was progressing face up instead of face down - and she was right! After birth, she made sure that we were doing well, helped me to start nursing - and I really appreciated her follow up with us once we got home. To this day, I still look at the sheet she put together where she kept track of all the events that happened during the labor process. It's amazing how much you can forget, but Bridget wrote it all done and it's great to be able to look back on this. I will definitely be working with Bridget again for our second child and have already referred her to a friend who is looking for a doula. We love her!

I highly recommend Bridget. She never made me feel pressured to do things her way. She just wanted to provide me with evidence based information and support my decisions. I had an unplanned c-section because my baby was breech and wasnt able to be flipped. When it came time to decide when to have the c-section she provided the information that helped my husband and myself understand what could happen if I decided to wait. In the end I didn't have the birth I planned, but I felt like I made an informed decision that was the safest option for me and my baby. If you're looking for someone that's less "crunchy", super supportive, and very well informed, Bridget is your gal.

What a pleasure it was to work with Bridget for the birth of our second son! Our first labor and delivery was quite a terrifying experience so the second time around we were looking for a proffessional to help both my husband and I calm our anxiety and fears so that we could have a more pleasant and aware experience. Bridget was amazing! Very knowledgeable and caring!  Having her there with us the whole time gave my husband and I a chance to bond in that special moment. After baby was born, I was struggling with nursing and some postpartum anxiety and she was right there to help with comfort and great advice. Even after seeing several lactation consultants, she was the one that checked my son’s mouth and noticed that he looked tongue tied and lip tied and gave me the resources needed to get him diagnosed and revise! Can‘t say enough good things about our doula experience with Bridget!!

If you’re on the fence about getting a doula, DO IT. I’m so thankful that I chose Bridget - not only for the actual labor and delivery, but for being there and making me feel as prepared as possible beforehand. She is very knowledgeable, organized, experienced, prompt, and reassuring. Some of things that I especially appreciated after the birth that were unexpected was the detailed notes she took during labor (good for having a record later, but also good to refer to when there are so many people involved and we need to reference when something happened or by whom - it came in handy SO often) and the pictures she took. I didn’t even realize when she was taking pictures, and the shots she got I will treasure forever. It was such a comfort to have her there during labor to consult with and have my back with all the medical teams involved. She always stayed calm even when things got scary, and helped me feel like I had choices and some control. I can’t recommend her enough.

Having Bridget alongside my husband and I during our second birth was the exact experience we could've imagined. She was a reassuring voice, strong support of my plan, and just a joy to have in the delivery room. We've recommended her to many friends since having our son and couldn't be more thrilled to share our five star recommendation here.

Hiring Bridget as a doula was the best decision I made during my pregnancy. She was a wealth of information before I went into labor and an unwavering support during my labor and delivery. She stayed by my side and encouraged me, advocated for me, and supported me and my family through my very prolonged and painful labor. She had many tools and techniques for pain management and when my birth plan changed she adapted and guided me through each obstacle. Her costs were so reasonable and in addition to all of the invaluable labor support, she took beautiful birth photos and perfectly captured my daughter's entrance into the world. I highly recommend Bridget to anyone expecting a baby!

Hiring Bridget as our doula was the best decision we could have made! She was extremely knowledgeable about everything we had questions about in regards to pregnancy, labor, delivery, newborn procedures, and hospital protocol. She is very responsive and attentive when you contact her. She was great with advocating our birth plan to hospital staff. She supported my husband and helped him to be involved. She was so incredibly helpful with pain management during labor and knew different techniques and different positions to try. I absolutely credit me having a successful VBAC, all to Bridget. We couldn't have done it without her! We will absolutely be using her again for our next baby.

We met with 3 doulas before deciding to recruit Bridget as our labor partner. She is very openminded and personable which is why we chose her. Late in my pregnancy we discovered my daughter was breech and I thought we had sought out a doula in vain, but Bridget was there for us all the way. When my water broke at 2am we called Bridget to come to the hospital and when she got there the triage nurse was quite testy and said Bridget could come in for "a few minutes". Bridget charmed her and I'm sure she is the main reason that my parents were also allowed to sit with me for several hours while we waited for an oncall doctor to show up and deliver my baby. Bridget stayed with my husband until he was admitted to the operating room and she was there in the recovery room. I appreciate the experienced support that Bridget was able to provide and the friendly manner in which she provided it. My birth experience was definitely for the better because of Bridget. <3

p.s. If you do decide to let Bridget be part of your birth experience, let her rub your feet!

i am very glad I hired Bridget Fueller as my doula, as I was really able to have the kind of birth that I wanted with her assistance.  When it came to meetings before and after birth, Bridget was great at working around our schedules and coming where it was convenient for us to meet.  While I was pregnant, Bridget was very reassuring and answered a lot of panicked questions from me at a variety of times of day or night. She presented the pros and cons of various birth plan options and sent me links with really helpful information to help me make an informed decision on the things i was waffling about.  She attended a hypnobirth class with me, and was supportive hypnobirthing. She met me in the hospital after I went into labor, and arrived when she was most needed. I had told my husband I didn't think I could do it without pain meds, even though I had wanted so much to have a natural birth.  Within minutes of saying that, Bridget walked in the door. She pressed on my hip and shoulder during my contractions and somehow it relieved the pain, and I was able to do the whole thing naturally without medication like I had wanted thanks to Bridget. We had also asked her to take pictures, and she took great pictures that really showed the whole event, including things I had missed seeing at the time.  She captured my husband and I in our last moments as a couple, she got the room sign so we will know exactly what room he was born in, several pictures during and after birth, his first vital signs, footprinting process, and more. If I have another baby, I know who I am calling! I know I couldn't have done it pain medication free without her.

My husband and I were looking for a simple natural delivery for our first child,  but we're not interested in the typical"granola" experience that most doulas offer. Eating my placenta? No thank you! Bridget was awesome and worked with me towards the delivery I wanted - mainly by educating me about my options. She had a great demeanor and put my husband at ease - something the other doulas were unable to do. He took issues with the fake demeanor of the other "self proclaimed" doulas. The other doulas seemed to have an idea of how they wanted my delivery to go and what I needed to regulate my hormones after delivery, yada, yada, yada.  Not Bridget! She empowered me to decide for myself by providing actual facts. I had a very fast and intense delivery. She met us at the hospital and provided me with pain management through counter pressure, which helped me make it through the unrelenting contractions. There was no time for any pain meds or epidural, but I knew that Bridget would have supported me through decisions to use either without judgement. Bridget is a great doula for the "everyman".I cannot recommend enough. If your pregnant, get her in your corner!

When I found out I was pregnant in February, I knew that I wanted to go all natural with the help of a doula! Luckily enough, my sister who was also pregnant knew Bridget Fueller and highly recommended her to me! I gave her a call, set up a consultation, and knew she was the one! I'm so glad I chose Bridget, she was amazing! she was by my side every step of the way!! She walked me through the beginning process of becoming a mommy. Everytime I had a question with my pregnancy I would text her and immediately she would respond. When the big day came and I was ready to give birth she was ready to meet me. During labor she was there to encourage me along the way. Even when I thought I coudn't do this she helped me stay focused and helped me deliver my beautiful 9lb 4oz baby girl. I will forever be thankul to Bridget. She knew how important a natural birth was to me and she helped make my experience a success! I highly recommend her to any woman who is looking for the perfect doula!!

As first timers, we wanted an affordable doula who could help us navigate unknown territory to have the birth we envisioned (as much as possible). Bridget was easy to coordinate with, is very down-to-earth, friendly, professional, and communicated VERY well with hospital staff. I had a midwife at St. Joseph's. The nurses and midwives all loved her as well. It was nice to have a doula there to help us make decisions when all the medical info was thrown at us.

My induced labor took MUCH longer than expected and Bridget stayed (awake!) the entire time, positive and informative when we had questions or concerns. We believe having Bridget on our birth team helped us avoid a C-section. She suggested different labor positions to help move the baby, and helped with the labor pain through massage, meditative music, and counter pressure. In the end, Bridget was the calm and reassuring labor coach we needed, and we are excited to hire Bridget for our next birth.

I gave birth to our second child, a daughter, this October. I had met with and planned to use a doula because I wanted a different experience with this birth. On the day they had me come to the hospital to be induced for my VBAC (12 days past my due date), my doula was with another momma in labor. I was crushed that she wouldn't be there and was afraid I couldn't be successful without her. She offered to send her backup and I wasn't sure that I wanted a stranger in my delivery room but asked her to send the backup anyway. Shortly after, in walks Bridget. She and I were perfect strangers as I greeted her from the labor tub, but from the moment she arrived, the room was calmer and I felt like we had known each other a long time. She has such a presemce and a way of bringing peace in the chaos. She was with me the remainder of my labor and delivery and I don't know what I would have done without her. She didn't know me but had been quickly briefed on my previous traumatic birth experience and she was able to connect with me through that and help me stay calm through my fear. She gracefully guided the brand new nurse who was assigned to me, she helped me fight off the demands of my impatient doctor, and she took control of my finnicky fetal monitor. Her experience and expertise were very apparent. When things began to go downhill and I was terrified, she helped me regain control. When time came to push she was on one side while my husband was on the other, and they both held my hands as we welcomed our baby earthside.

To say Bridget was wonderful is an understatement! She was EVERYTHING I needed in the delivery room.

After being with me for over 12 hours, she went straight to join another client who had come into the same hospital to deliver. No sleep, little food, and great joy in doing so.

I would recommend Bridget to ANYONE. She is a bright light in dark and scary places and I am so blessed to have had her as my doula <3

After interviewing a few doulas, my husband and I decided Bridget was definitely who we wanted to work with on this magical journey. From the moment we met her, she was warm and caring. I felt an immediate connection of trust with her, which was very important to me. Being a Type A personality, I noticed her promptness on everything from in-person meetings to texts and phone calls, and her willingness to be there for me whenever I needed her to be - knowing she was so readily available really put my mind at ease! Bridget brings a lot to the table with her own personal background, which I feel really separates her from other doulas - she truly has been through it all and can relate to the mom. After our baby was born, Bridget immediately helped me with breastfeeding. She was also able to take some wonderful photos and type up a beautiful birth story for us. I highly recommend Bridget - I am so glad she was able to be with us during such an intimate and special time!

When preparing to have my first child I knew 2 things: I wanted to hire a doula & I desired to have a natural birth. I have always thrived in situations when I had a coach, so I knew having a coach for my birth, labor, and delivery process would be critical to achieving my goal of a natural, medication-free delivery. Bridget was recommended by my Hypnobirthing instructor and from the minute we met I knew I had the right birth coach for me. At our first meeting she willingly drove to my home to meet my husband and I. Bridget was exceptionally warm, friendly, and eager to answer any questions we had. She was a perfect fit for us from day one, so we asked Bridget to be a part of the birth of our daughter. Throughout each of our meetings Bridget brought helpful handouts and was a weath of information. She helped us make informed decisions about our birth plan and ensured us that she would be an advocate for our needs during labor and delivery and would help me stay the course on our birth plan decisions when the going got tough. When I was in labor, Bridget was virtually by my side, answering every text with encouragement and direction. My labor progressed quickly and when I felt it was time to head to the hospital she eagerly met us there, preparing my birthing room while I was in triage. When I arrived in the room, it was just as I had hoped it would be: calm and dim, with peaceful music playing to encourage a quiet birth. Bridget coached me through my labor and helped my husband be an active part of bringing our daughter into the world. She provided both counter pressure for my back labor and light touch massage; she also provided me with birth poses to help me gently encourage my daughter into the right birthing position. Bridget took wonderful photos to help us document the process, as well. I would recommend It is Well Doula Services to anyone who is looking for a supportive, eduational and loving parternship to enhance your birthing experience.

As a trained doula myself, I knew that I wanted a doula for my own birth experience. We interviewed many doulas and hit the jackpot when we found Bridget. I didn't tell her about my doula background and quizzed her with lots of birth related information. Bridget knew her stuff! I especially liked the fact that she has personally experienced a variety of birth related scenarios – from medicated/unmedicated births, vaginal/c-section births and both breast and bottle feeding.

Prior to my due date, Bridget checked in to see how my doctor’s appointments were going and how I was feeling. When my water spontaneously ruptured at 33 weeks, she met us at the hospital and I delivered quickly. She supported my husband, who was utterly petrified with the speed at which the process was happening. She asked if he had questions and explained things to him as they happened. Nothing went as planned but Bridget handled it all with grace. My husband accompanied the baby to the NICU and Bridget stayed with me. She was like my mother, sister, best friend and doula all wrapped into one.

Hours later, Bridget helped me use the breast pump to get the lactation process started. The time that Bridget spent with me was so valuable. It seemed like everything people said to me went in one ear and out the other. Bridget had the patience to explain things multiple times and even write things down that I would forget.

Following my discharge, Bridget kept in touch. She understood the sadness that accompanied leaving the hospital with a baby still in the NICU. Bridget came to my home for a postpartum visit to process the birth experience and to check in on how things were going. She was only a call away if I needed anything. It is difficult to explain how much I owe to Bridget. I would not hesitate to recommend her services for a moment! She was there for us before, during and after the birth of our child and supported us in so many ways.

Bridget is an amazing doula. We actually won free doula services from a baby expo in Phoenix. We were so excited but a little hesitant. We were nervous that because she was not getting paid for the doula services that she may not give her full attention and time to us. But that was not the case at all. Bridget drove about an hour each time to come to our house for our meet ups. She never made us drive somewhere to her, and always made sure it was a convenient time for us. She would drop her plans at any time if I had any questions or concerns. I would text her all the time asking questions and would always get a response back in less than 5 minutes. When she would come to our house she was always prepared and organized with any paperwork. Bridget has a passion in her job and you can really see that very clear. She also works with some humor, always lightening up the convo and making her clients feel special.

In the hospital during our stay when we delivered our son, Bridget was my rock. She came as soon as my fiance called her, and the kicker? It was on Christmas. Bridget left her family on Christmas to come be there with us for the delivery of our son. I felt really bad about it but she was just as positive and happy as ever. I labored for the entire day, Bridget was by my side the entire time, talking to me calmly, trying to make me laugh, rubbing my feet (OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING!) She was so calm in everything she did and any decision I made she totally respected. She never tried steering us in any direction as far as making decisions on our labor and delivery. All in all, I would've not have had such a successful, calm and beautiful labor if I didn't have Bridget right next to me. Not only did she keep me calm, but she also kept my fiancé calm. She was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Bridget for anybody. She was perfect!!!! We love Bridget!!!

I won my doula experience from a raffle at a baby event and I think I can honestly say it is the most helpful thing I've ever won!  Going through Labor with Bridget made my experience everything I wanted it to be.  In my birth plan I specifically did not want an epidural, I believe that because of her helping me through the pain I was able to stick to that part of my plan.  If I got pregnant again I would pay to use her.

Bridget was amazing! I have a hard time letting people get close to me. Talking and getting to know her was so easy and natural. My husband also felt very comfortable with her. I am so thankful she was with us through the last part of my pregnancy and delivery. I wish we would have met her at the beginning. She was available for questions anytime I had them and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Bridget was at the hospital on the day my daughter was born all day and helped us to understand what was going on and helped us go through all the options available. We ended up having a c-section and I am grateful she was there to support me through it. Bridget will use every resource available to help you have a great pregnancy and birth. I would recommend her to anyone who is having a baby.

After my first birth in 2012, via cesarean, I knew I wanted to have the option to VBAC if I ever did get pregnant again. 2015, I found myself in the predicament of wanting the same but being unsure if I could do it by myself. I found Bridget in an unconventional way and immediately messaged her. it wasn't until roughly 3 months later that I took the dive in getting a doula-- Mostly because I'm fickle and couldn't decide between a repeat cesarean or if I wanted to dive into a "scary" VBAC world. Bridget completely eased my thoughts, calmed my nerves; and came over bright and early when my water broke unexpectedly; staying with me during my entire labor while my fiancé worked(I was scared to labor at home alone). at first i thought that hiring a doula meant I had someone who would tell doctors and nurses what I felt like I couldn't say. Instead, she showed me that I had the strength to stand up for myself and infact could be my own advocate with her behind me as my emotional/informational support system. I think the only thing I can think of to make the client/doula relationship better is to take what she says and really apply it to your birth. Understand and absorb everything she tells you. If you find yourself in a sticky situation with a doctor; find the strength that she is trying to show you that you have and stick up for yourself. She can only say so much, so let her help you find your courage. :)

Shes not just a doula. At least to me she's not. I feel like I've made a new great friend out of my experience with her. I have nothing but good things to say about her and dont think I would have had a successful VBAC without her.
