Victoria is amazing! She was the most wonderful, calming presence at our birth. I got to the hospital pretty late in labor, and she joined us there—she would have come to me earlier at the drop of a hat, but I felt like I was coping pretty well. When she arrived, she exuded strength and tranquility and made me feel so confident in all of my decisions. She also took some absolutely wonderful pictures that we will cherish forever. We didn’t even know in the moment how much we would appreciate having those memories to look back on. She is also a wealth of information and helped talk me through various options/helped me find evidence based information about so many aspects of labor and birth and various interventions that could potentially arise. In addition to her wonderful doula qualities, she is also such a genuinely good, kindhearted, caring person. Essentially, if you are looking for a doula, I truly couldn’t recommend anyone anybody more highly than Victoria!!
Victoria was an amazing and supportive Doula that made my birth experience come to life . She was there every step of the way even when my baby went breach and I thought I wouldn’t be able to have the birth I wanted she came to the procedure to turn my baby and thankfully everything worked out . She was supportive and helped me through all of the anxieties that go with being a new mom . During my very fast labor she was right behind me as I booked it up several flights of stairs having contractions every minute or so encouraging me and helping me through it. During my very fast labor she was right behind me as I booked it up several flights of stairs having contractions every minute or so encouraging me and helping me through it . I would recommend her to any mom for mom to be.
When my husband and I decided to bring a doula into our team we didn't realise how much Tori would become a part of our family and friends.
She provided valuable information on how labour and delivery would go as well as early infant care, but she provided physical care as well. Those prenatal massages were everything! She made us laugh and feel confident in bringing our son into the world.
During labour she barely left my side, always encouraging me, or changing the cool washcloth on my forehead. She made sure I had water or a snack. When we were home, she later came to visit to see how we were doing.
Moms-to-be, if your looking for more than amazing care, from someone who cares so much, Tori is your doula. She has your back in more ways than one. (Seriously, ask her about the counter pressure for your back)
Victoria was an amazing doula to work with! I actually hired her at 41 weeks pregnant after I learned she was a doula during an amazing prenatal massage. I had a planned homebirth turned cesarean and she was with me every step of the way. 24 hours of labor, hospital transfer, cesarean and it was only after my son and I were in the recovery room that I told her to go home and get some rest that she actually left my side! She was a HUGE emotional and physical support for me. She captured amazing raw footage of the labor and as many pictures as she could sneak in during the cesarean for me. If you are thinking of hiring a doula, Victoria is the type of support person you want by your side!
Victoria was amazing throughout my pregnancy, labor and birth of my baby boy! Being a single mom with little support I knew I wanted someone that i could count on to be there for me. I interviewed several doulas before picking her as she was so personable and made me feel really comfortable immediately. She also offers massage which i took advantage of and found really nice to get that extra time getting to know each other. I went into labor early, but she was there for me and incredibly supportive thru the whole process! She even stayed with baby and I til my brother could come get me from the birth center. I couldn't have gotten thru everything without her!
If anyone is thinking about hiring a doula I can't recommend Victoria enough, she was truly a blessing to have during a time that is vulnerable, crazy and amazingly beautiful.
I found Victoria by booking a prenatal massage and instantly had a connection with her. I booked her as my doula because she made me feel at ease, strong and confident about my ability. She helped prepare me for labor mentally & emotionally. While my husband was present during it all, I felt I needed someone who understood how our bodies work and could fully empathize with labor and delivery. She was that support. WiTh our first kid we kind of freaked out during labor & delivery & I wasn’t able to do what I set out to do. Having Victoria with us helped both of us. Her presence instantly gave us calm & her encouragement & smile helped me to power through delivery. I remember feeling like I couldn’t deliver my baby & the look of excitement & love in her eyes as she told me I can because I was already doing it. My ultimate goal was to deliver a healthy son. My hope was to do it naturally and unmedicated. I did that. And it was the best and hardest thing I have ever done. After she ordered us food & made sure we were comfortable and settled before leaving. I am so glad I found her & she was available during my due date. Thank you for your knowledge, for the exercises/games to help prepare me. Thank you for being an inspiration. Womb-man strong!!!!! ????
Working with Tori was great. I didn't expect to utilize her so often for prenatal massages, but I'm so glad that she had that skill set and that I was able to. Not only did it help so much with my aches and pains, but it also allowed us to get to know each other too. When the big day happened, it was like she was a friend there helping me, rather than just an acquaintance, and it helped me to really put my trust in her and her suggestions.
She continually strives to increase her skill set by taking classes. For example, she was knowledgeable with spinning babies and it was incredibly helpful with trying to get my baby to get into position and with helping to get my labor to progress after I got an epidural.
I had an induction and very long labor, and when I got to a point where I wasnt tolerating the pain very well, she came and helped out. She ended up staying for about 26 hours!! She was a great advocate for me and made sure I had the information I needed to make informed decisons. She knew I wanted my birth to go a certain way, and supported me in that, but more importantly she supported me even more as my birth diverted from my original plans.
Post partum she made sure to know that I could reach out to her for any and all concerns, and she even brought us dinner at our last appointment.
I couldn't have asked for a better doula, and I highly recommend her!
Having Victoria as our doula provided us an invaluable experience. After meeting with her, I immediately felt comfortable around her, and she was always easy to talk to being very personable and down to earth. She provided information that helped me prepare for the labor process, and explained things in a way that put my mind at ease about my fear of the pain. I planned to go completely unmedicated and it was great to have that support and experience with us since this was our first child. Although my husband was extremely supportive throughout the entire pregnancy and labor, it was still very helpful to have Victoria as a member of our team. It was nice that she was available to me when I needed her or had questions. My water broke about 3 weeks prior to my due date, so it was all a little unexpected, but Victoria was very supportive and informative which helped my husband and I at a time when we were a little scared and caught off guard. During labor, she helped rotate my comfort measures with my husband, remind us of pain mediation techniques and labor positions we had learned along the way, be our sounding board, and communicate with the remainder of our healthcare team. Other than having to be induced, I was able to fulfill my wish of being unmedicated, and I truly believe it was because of Victoria that I was able to do so. Her words of encouragement and reminders of my strength and ability throughout the labor were immensley helpful. The fact that she can also provide massage services is such a bonus and she is excellent! I think she goes above and beyond her duties as a doula, and after only knowing her for a short time, I would consider her my friend. If we ever have another child, I would definitely be seeking her out again, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is having a baby, regardless of if they plan to go medicated or unmedicated, or it is their first or fifth child.
Tori created such good rapport that I felt more of her friend than a client. We ended up more prepared on our labor ordeal because she provided some great guidance during our prenatal meeting. In the hospital, she kept me entertained and was equipped with essential oils and ended up applying some on me based on some of the symptoms I was having. She took some pictures that we will forever cherish in our new family and was able to provide an outside perspective on how my partner and I were during the entire labor process. I enjoyed the dinner that she and her family prepared for us and I really enjoyed all our massage/chat sessions. I am really glad I had Tori during my first pregnancy!!
Victoria is a fantastic doula and I highly recommend her! She is knowledgeable, easy to talk to and a great asset to your birth. She has a background in massage therapy and essential oils, which I found very helpful during labor. Add her to your birth team, you won't regret it!
When I decided to have my first natural birth after having two heavily medicated births I knew I would need some support. Victoria was phenomenal. She was available when I was pregnant to offer advice and support. During labor she helped me by using essential oils, hands on methods and helping my husband know how to support me. Victoria also helped remember the simple things like ordering me food and taking photos that nobody else in the room would have thought of. I know having Victoria really helped ground me during labor and get me through every phase. Victoria is sweet, kind, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doula!
Having a doula was the best decision for me and my husband and Victoria was amazing! We don't have any family near but having Victoria as pur doula put my mind at ease that if anything happened I had someone I could call for support. Victoria took the time to get to know us and understand our birth prefernces. She never pressured us but rather provided so much information and answered all our questions. When we expressed interest in a child CPR class, Victoria went out of her way to find one for us! When it came time to delivery our baby girl, Victoria was by my side the whole time. The constant encouragement and hands-on support was irreplaceable!
Victoria is an amazing woman. She is caring, thoughtful, and helpful. She listens to what you want and does her best to make it happen. My birth happened quickly and she was there minutes after and so supportive and helpful during the chaos of the e.r. She stayed with me all day before he was born when I was in active labor but not enough to stay there, we never ran out of things to talk about. She is energetic and passionate about birth and your right to make decisions for your body. And knowledgeable on so many things associated with birth, Natural ways to induce labor, breastfeeding, after care all very helpful. Oh she's also an amazing massage therapist as well. Thank you Victoria for being there I appreciated everything you did.
Victoria was a positive & encouraging support for both me & my husband. Getting to know each other through her amazing prenatal massages made me feel super relaxed around her. She helped guide us through what to expect from our natural hospital birth. She was respectful of our birth goals & supported us in the exact way we needed in order to meet those goals. With her help we felt confident making decisions when things didn't go as planned & we needed to be induced. In the end we were thrilled with our birth experience & so happy to have Victoria as a part of it! We have already recommended her to our friends!
Victoria was extremely supportive of our birth choices before, during, and after our birth. Even when I changed my mind on what I wanted during birth, she was there to offer support and guidance. I was looking for someone that I could connect to in a personal way, someone that was not only knowledgeable but also friendly and who I could rely on for support. Victoria was that person. She gladly held me during labor when my husband needed a break, and she offered words of encouragment and helpful direction--all things that were needed. Victoria aims to make the mother's life easier by providing both pre-natal and post-natal massages, and this is just one of many tools. Pregnancy and birth put tremendous strains on our bodies (and souls)! Having those tensions eased through Victoria's massage went a long way to helping me get through my day. If we choose to have another babe, I would not hesitate to ask for Victoria again.
Victoria was my doula a month ago, and I was truly impressed by her dedication to the job! She was wrapping up certification training at the time, and I have confidence she will grow even more into a fantastic doula. She was very professional in our pre-birth meetings and took great care to double-check what things I was looking for in terms of my birth experience and support person. She is warm, energetic, knowledgeable and passionate about being a doula and coaching you through the process, both in and out of the hospital. In fact, Victoria stuck with us for over 30 hours as my labor dragged on, and she remained committed to helping me and my husband understand what was going on and what our choices were as things progressed. While I did not end up avoiding an epidural like I'd hoped, I was more than satisfied with the way she helped us through that decision, and I NEVER felt like I was being pressured into avoiding an intervention because of her preferences or because she was too tied to my original plan. She has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to (she put my husband at ease), and while I was getting to know her, she kept me at ease with both her personality and comments about training or other experiences she'd had. She was prompt in arranging our postpartum appointment and has followed up to see how our new little family is doing. I'd recommend her to my friends!
Victoria Bryan and I automatically connected. She was by my side the whole time with her very positive attitude and very kind touch. My birth didn't go as planned at all. I was planning a natural birth, things turned into hell for me. I ended up at the hospital and my sweet Victoria was right there by my side supporting everything I chose. Everything I read about with having a doula, she was and more. I came into a situation I was completely unsure of this being my first birth, but Victorias sunshine of a personality showed me I was doing great and reassured me that I was strong and powerful. This being her first time i know she can only get better. Victoria's confidence in my birthing was truly contagious. She truly was my angel through my daughter's birth. I will have her again when i have my next birth. I highly recommend having Victoria as any womens doula.
