Amazing! We attended 3 childbirth classes that Taylor hosted and we decided to use her as our doula. She and Katie helped us EVERY step of the way. We will be using her again with our next child. Taylor is a FANTASTIC resource, but an even better person. Genuine, caring & fully invested. Hire with confidence.

I had never heard of a doula before I was pregnant. Mid-way through my pregnancy, I started talking to my mom friends about labor and delivery. It was very important to me to have an unmedicated birth. I had no interest in pain medication or an epidural. One of my friends said she had a doula who really helped her through her labor and was a great resource during her pregnancy. So, I started doing some research which eventually led me to set up a meeting with Taylor who is a doula local to our area. It was amazing to find someone who didn't think I was insane for not wanting an epidural! Having a doula just for the information and support during my pregnancy was invaluable. I had a perfect pregnancy until 38 weeks when I was diagnosed with pre-eclamsia resulting in an induction which failed and an eventual c-section. Taylor and her partner, Patricia, were by our side at the hospital every step of the way explaining our options and giving us the information we needed to make very tough decisions. They even stayed with my husband and I during the c-section. We both felt so supported and comforted knowing they were with us. Even though we didn't have the perfect birth we planned, having a doula really helped make the experience positive and help us focus on our ultimate goal- birthing our baby. Taylor and Patricia also provided lactation support after our daughter was born. She is over 7 months old now and we are still exclusively breastfeeding thanks to Taylor and Patricia's initial support. I tell anyone and everyone who will listen now that every woman should have a doula during her pregnancy, labor and birth! If we have more children, I hope Taylor and Patricia will be able to be apart of that experience as well.

Taylor Theodore... Where do I begin to say how much she helped me? She was awesome from doing in home birthing classes with my husband and I, to helping me get through the painful labor. We weren't the type to go to a birthing class with a bunch of people, so she drove to our home and did them in our living room. She is so personable and caring. There was so much about pregnancy and labor that I did now know, and she informed me of all the options I had. She was there for me 24/7 when I was experiencing something or just had questions. She made me feel so comfortable to talk to her about anything. She is like having a best friend that is there for you no matter what & has plenty of knowledge in pregnancy, labor and post partum. I had so many issues with breast feeding after I had my son & she came to my house and helped me by showing me different positions & techniques to help. She was without a doubt a lifesaver. She took photos and notes the day I was in labor and I love having those to look at now. I am so thankful to have had her.

I've known Taylor and her family for most of my life. So when my son and his wife were expecting their first baby it was reassuring to know that Taylor was their doula! ?? She had so much knowledge about everything from conception through birth and breastfeeding. She made me, as a grandmother, feel like it was ok to ask questions or advice. Taylor was there for our whole family, day or night. Nothing was ever a burden. She went above and beyond what we ever could've imagined to help prepare us for the birth of my grandson and the months that would follow. Having a Doula is not like having a doctor. It's more like having 24 HR access to a best friend with the skill set that is almost comparable to a midwife. One of the many things that I loved was how much less i "worried " about the unknowns because there really were none after she was hired. She's just amazing in every way. She documented everything with notes, Times, and beautiful photographs when my daughter-in-law's labor started. She captured so many moments that I never would have seen. It was awesome to watch the Photostory that she put together . How she managed to do that and still be 100% present for my son and his wife, I will never know. When my grandson turned one, I was so surprised to see that Taylor had taken the time to post some pictures from his birth on their Facebook and to write a little happy birthday message at the exact time that he was born. She is meticulous and doesn't miss anything. She works so well with the midwives and the hospital staff. Taylor is very well respected for obvious reasons. I know that our family will always have her as a Doula for any births in this family. For baby shower gifts for friends, I usually just give money now and recommend getting Taylor for a Doula . It's The best gift I've ever given!

I have had three home births, but not until my third did I seek out a doula. My babies come very quickly, and after a tense pushing stage of only four minutes for my second baby, I ended up transferring to the hospital with serious tearing and a hematoma requiring surgery. When I became pregnant with my third baby, I knew I would have to be proactive about finding support and methods to prevent that from happening again! I settled on a waterbirth and a doula, and contacted Taylor at my midwife's recommendation. We got along wonderfully from the first visit, and I knew I had to hire her! She listened attentively to my needs and helped me come up with a "game plan" to make the pushing stage more controlled and gentle. She, along with the midwife, calmed me down as baby day approached and I got panicky that what happened with my second would happen again. During my labor, she was there for whatever I needed - to chat, bring me things, and take (absolutely wonderful) pictures. When the pushing stage hit, I started to panic and tense up like I had the first two times, but her voice broke through the fog coaching me firmly to breathe, calm down, slow down. That sweet baby came quickly and peacefully, with not even a stitch necessary! I could never have done it without my amazing team of my husband, midwife, and Taylor. We are moving states, but if I could pack her up in the truck and take her with me for my next birth, I would!! She is a lovely, friendly, strong woman; my kiddos loved her and we will all miss her dearly.

I can't imagine what it would have been like without having Taylor with my husband and I during my labor and delivery. Being first time parents Taylor was very helpful with all our questions we had during our prenatal visits. I loved being able to text/call her anytime I needed to. The support we had during labor was everything we needed. When labor went south and my son got stuck she was a huge help every step of the way. She drove to the hospital while I was recovering at the birthing center. She came back and picked me up when I was ready to go. Every question I had post partum she had an answer for. She is a very loving, kind, and wonderful person! I would definitely have her again for the next baby if we weren't moving! Thank you Taylor for all your help and support through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post partum! <3

Taylor was very supportive in what we wanted she even helped us keep away those mean Nurses that kept trying to push pain medication lol. She was always encouraging even when I thought I just couldn't do it anymore. She helped me feel empowered in my decision for a natural birth , she went over our birth plan with us multiple times to ensure we knew exactly what we wanted and that she understood exactly what we wanted. She's funny and loving and kind one of the best choices we could have made for our birth plans.
I remember when I was in pain and couldn't get comfortable she always had another idea on how to move or adjust myself for more pain relief, she help with massages, pressure points and just all around comfort. She also took beautiful pictures so we could remember the day our beautiful children are born. If we decide to have more children in the future I will definitely be giving her a call. I couldn't have imagined better births thanks again Taylor

Taylor and her company Belly to Baby are amazing! She takes time to get to know you and your preferences for your birthing experience. She wants to know all of your preferences, from pain management to who you want in the labor room with you, so that she can act as a knowledgable liason between you and medical personnel. Everything is communicated ahead of time, then when you are in labor, everything is taken care of. It's like you have this friend in the room who is looking out for you, and she knows exactly how you want things to go. She is also there to support your signficant other, and it makes the entire process a special moment when it could have been a stressful one. Our first birth could have gone a whole lot differently in a negative way if Taylor hadn't been with us. Taylor even got priceless pictures immediately after our daughter was born that we would not have otherwise had. Now, we have that wonderful moment captured forever!
Also, Taylor works with another wonderful doula, Patricia, whose expertise in lactation was such a blessing and made our breastfeeding experience a smooth and enjoyable process. Patricia and Taylor make a great team and are there to support even each other's clients. They both have such a passion for what they do and they make a difference in each and every mom's life that they touch.
So, now that we are expecting baby number 2, we are thrilled that Taylor is once again going to be our doula. It's like having a friend who knows you and supports you come along for one of the most amazing moments of your life. Thank you, Taylor, for making us feel comfortable, educating us, and for being available at a moment's notice. You're the best!
