I was always interested in having a doula for my birth experiencd, and once I decided my goal was going to be a non-medicated natural birth I knew I needed to hire one. I was so excited when I found Katie and that she was willing to travel to my location! She is very professional, knowledgeable and truly cares about what you want out of your birth experience and does everything she can to help you achieve it. Throughout my labor Katie was very supportive to my husband and me. She made sure we had everything we needed, even if we didn't know we needed it. She really does think of everything. It was truly a blessing to have her with us. I was especially grateful for her support when my husband was not feeling well and she did an excellent job taking care of us both! She went above and beyond our expectations. I would definitely recommend Katie to have as your doula!

Having a doula was something I knew nothing about prior to my 4th baby. And now that I know what it is like to have a doula, my only regret is that I didn't have one sooner with my other 3 babies. It was so nice. Katie was so knowledgeable and professional. My doctors told me that I probably wouldn't be able to dialate to a 10 and deliver. Katie knew all sorts of massage techniques, how to use a peanut ball, and helped me and I dilated to a 10! I had a very relaxing labor and delivery thanks to the help of Katie as a doula. My husband really appreciated having her there with me too. She was amazing and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. I would recommend Katie Marcum as a doula in the Hutchinson, Wichita area. She was incredible.

Katie was such an amazing support and I'm so blessed to have had her as a part of my birth team! She knew exactly what I needed, before I asked for it or before I even knew myself that I needed it! At the same time, she respected my space and allowed my husband and I to share the experience together. The nurse at the hospital commented that she had never worked with a better doula before. :) It's because of her that I was able to have the natural hospital birth I dreamed of!

Katie was a fantastic doula! I never would have thought I'd need some to help me through the end of a pregnacy; I already had two childre.  I originally said she could practice her new 'doulaing' obsession on me to help her out and met some goals. Little did I know I would need the moral support and coaching she offered. My son could not stay in the birthing position long and kept turning. Katie went above and beyond to help me try and turn him to the right position, without any aggressive pushing. We made severs trips to the hospital in hopes that little man was head down and we could be induced to avoid a csection. Every time I made a trip to check baby's position Katie was right there- ready and in hopes with us, to have a baby.  When it came time to call it quits and get baby out safely by a csection she was there to make sure I had all my questions answers and brought up more points to ask about. We had to be at the hospital at 5:00 am Katie was there. She stayed through surgery and recovery and even after to make sure I was okay, baby was okay and even my hubby. If we needed anything and the nurses weren't available or took to long to show up Katie was there to figure it out Or find an available nurse.  The next day the hospital food wasn't cutting it and I was weak and needing something more. Katie searched and searched her brain trying to come up with a good meal for me and provided!! She came by once we got home to see how everything was going.
