I hired Angela as my postpartum doula. Contracting and payment was a breeze. Upon the birth of my fourth baby she came to my home, did light house keeping, played with my older children and anything I needed which allowed me to remain focused on and bonding with my new baby. My husband went back to work very quickly and with four children under 6 having another set of hands around a few hours a day was absolutely critical. She was professional, non judgemental, kind and took initiative to find helpful things to do when I couldn't decide. She talked through my birth with me so I could process it as well. I know she'd be an excellent resource for any mother struggling with nursing with her IBCLC credentials. She was kind and compassionate with myself and my children and her help allowed me the possibility of a shower, make up, getting a meal prepped for dinner, watching some Netflix and a little extra sleep as well. All the things you'd love to be able to do after having a baby, but usually don't have enough hands for. If you are looking for a postpartum doula to help you transition into life with your new baby, I highly recommend calling Angela!

Hiring Angela as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made post-baby. She arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, stayed as long as I needed, and helped me with several needed household duties that just weren’t possible with a newborn and a busy 4yo.

Per my request, Angela brought her child to play with mine while we talked through my birth experience, discussed my postpartum care, and analyzed my newborn’s latch and nursing. My first birth experience, while beautiful, was very traumatic, and Angela assisted me with processing those memories and moments, which empowered me to have a much better understanding of what I wanted in my second birth. It was amazing to get to share the new experience with her and find so much healing through the second birth (while she folded MANY loads of clean laundry for me!).

Through Angela’s teachings and sharings, I was able to arrange to stay off my feet for nearly six weeks with my second child, which allowed for so much healing for my body and bonding with my newborn and family. I suffered from debilitating postpartum depression with my first baby, and my lack of postpartum care played a huge role in the delay in my diagnosis and treatment. I’m thrilled to say that I’ve been PPD free with my second baby!

I felt confident that Angela would be able to tell me if my baby’s latch was problematic in any way (it was perfect!), and I even offered to let her hold my baby (a privilege I give few friends and family in those early weeks) while I made a smoothie (though she quickly ushered me back off my feet to enjoy my drink while she cleaned the dishes).

I have only the highest recommendations and praise for Angela’s postpartum services. The care and advice she provides are unmatched in this area.
