This was my second pregnancy and i was shooting for a vbac so having a doula was real important to me. I found Q and felt like she was a good match for me. She made herself available to me whenever I had questions and concerns. She came to a prenatl appointment to meet my doctor and even went to tour the hosiptal I was going to deliver at on her own time. I really got the feeling she cared and was working to get me through pregnancy and to having as best a labor experience as possible. When labor did start I called Q at 3am and when I got to the hosiptal she was there. During contractions she was by my side breathing with me which really helped me get through each one. She delegated task to my husband amd made him feel useful. I was not charged with micromanaging the nurses because she knew what I wanted and advocated for me while I was resting between contractions. I honestly dont know if I would have gone through labor the same way without her by my side, holding my hand and talking me throug the pain. And in the end I had my vbac and my beautiful baby boy. We are breastfeeding and I feel so connected to him and I honestly believe it's because I didn't have a cesarean like I did with my daughter. And Q was a main factor in that. I feel forever connected with my doula because of our labor experience and highly recommend her to anyone seeking an amazing motivating presence during their pregnancy and labor.
