I really enjoyed working with Liz. She was very helpful and reassuring, when there were several complications and risks in my pregnancy. I was pregnant with twins, baby B was presenting breech, I was preclamptic and had to be induced. While my experience didn't go the way that I would've preferred she was there by my side the entire time. I'm not one to ask for help, and she could see that and so she just jumped in when I needed her most, doing anything to help make me comfortable. Throughout the process before the labor and delivery, Liz would discuss with me any concerns I had and ease me through them. If there was something that I wasn't sure about she would research and inform me of all of the possibilities. Liz went above and beyond by her willingness to attend doctors appointments and taking a hospital tour with me just to make sure I'd be comfortable. she is non judgmental and her main priority was to ensure that she could do what ever she could to make sure I was able to be comfortable and make the most of my birth experience. and she was willing to work with me on my budget. I only wish I didn't have the epidural so that I could have used more of her techniques that weren't restricted to the bed. If your looking for someone you can trust and feel comfortable with Liz is your gal.

I could not have asked for a more helpful and comforting doula during my birth. My labor didn't progress as fast as I had hoped after my water broke. Liz was there to walk with me, do high knees, lunges, and all sorts of things to help get things going. When I was having mild contractions, she was right there to help me into a position on the birthing ball or on all fours to ease my pain. Late at night after we had hunkered down for the night, my contractions kicked in full force. Liz understood that I couldn't communicate using words at that point. I was uncomfortable and needed someone to help in any way. She jumped right up and started massaging my back, as my labor was really focused there. When I needed to get up and use the bathroom or change positions, she was there. Liz was not only there for me, but for my husband, too. He had never seen me in labor and didn't know what I needed. She did. She helped show him where he could touch me that might help. Liz helped ease his worries, as well. He had never seen me in such pain and her presence was so comforting. My mom was present as well and Liz answered all her questions and concerns.

When things got real, she knew before anyone else. She went to get the nurse and midwife, who were all expecting me to give birth many hours later.

Liz's quiet disposition is just what I needed during labor. She didn't ask questions and wasn't an intense personality to have in the room during an already intense experience. She is an excellent listener and has a whole trove of good insight and knowledge. A few hours after our son was born, Liz saw herself out the door so we could spend time as a family. The day we got home from the hospital Liz came to visit us and make sure that everything was going well. We shared laughter, worries we faced, and the immediate joys of parenthood.

I feel so lucky to have found Liz for this incredible life experience. Thank you, Liz!
