Hayley is the most incredible person, doula, and friend. She was my birth doula, and my husband and I also took private childbirth ed classes with her. She supported me through a very difficult pregnancy and was a core pillar for my birth. I will never forget her calming voice, soothing hands, and attention to all my needs throughout my labor. She's non-intrusive and took a very unbiased take in childbirth ed classes, customizing her care to our needs. Her attention to my wishes and preferences helped me have a the most validating and fulfilling birth. Hayley truly cares about all of her clients, and her passion for knowledge and joy of being a birthworker shines through in all that she does. She is a rare and beautiful soul, and I would highly highly recommend her.

Let me start by saying we love Hayley! I decided fairly early in my pregnancy to pursue a homebirth, and thanks to a rather uncomplicated pregnancy, excellent prenatal care, and a wonderfully supportive and knowledgeable doula, that dream became a reality on August 17th, 2016. Throughout the day on the 16th, I noticed that my contractions were growing in both intensity and consistency, so by the evening my plan was to eat dinner, take a soothing bath, and get as much sleep as possible. Alas, baby girl had plans of her own! After tossing and turning in bed through increasingly uncomfortable contractions, I decided to get up around midnight to walk the stairs. Within minutes, my partner and I knew labor was imminent, and when we could no longer effectively time contractions, we called Hayley. She came to us in the middle of the night and immediately put us both at ease. She offered ideas for alternative positions, helped me stay hydrated, and made excellent toast! After only a few hours, I hit transition and remained in transition for what seemed an unusually long period of time. While I do not have many clear memories during that time, I do remember that Hayley was by my side, allowing me to cling to (and crush) her hand for hours. She also provided my partner a much needed break as my labor, and ultimately pushing, lasted into the morning. Finally, at 8:16am, we all welcomed Justice Grace into the world and into our arms. My partner and I are forever grateful to the support Hayley provided us during the incredible birth of our daughter, and while we haven't decided on whether we will have more children, we know that Hayley will always be our first choice for a doula. My partner describes Hayley as "calm, cool, and collected," and wants you to know that that's the "man's perspective"! Whatever your goals for the birth of your child, Hayley has the knowledge, skills, and experience to make those goals a reality.

I couldn't have asked for a better doula. Hayley was so sweet, down to earth and thoughtful. She respected all my needs and desires, was able to meet you wherever, and easy to contact any time of the day. I loved working with her through my journey and so happy to be able to share such a special day with her there by my side, cheering me on and making me feel as comfortable as possible. To anyone looking for a doula, Hayley is your best bet! Shes such a sweet heart I'm glad that I was so lucky and fortunate to have her as my doula for my first pregnancy and birth.

Hayley was a wonderful Doula! I highly recommend her. It was my first baby and not a lot of my friends had babies so she was really able to give me all sorts of information and prospective on pregnancy, birth, and babies! Everything from cloth diapering, baby wearing, to birth itself! Having there during labor and birth was awesome. And her post partom follow up was also excellent. So nice to have support and a knowledgeable resource during this time.

When I called Hayley to tell her I was in labor, she used what I can only imagine was intuition to come at just the right moment - walking in my door just as I was pushing my son's head out.  I was scared because things progressed very quickly (about an hour of labor) and none of my birth team was there except for my husbandxz, but before I even saw her walking up my stairs, I felt a little more relaxed and ready to deliver my baby because she was calm and ready to be my doula, my friend and was ready to meet my baby, too.

I was fortunate enough to befriend Hayley prior to asking her to attend my birth as my doula.  I got to see how kind and caring, strong and valuable she is in the world, and to those she interacted with; especially other women and more importantly, her own family.  She's one of the most selfless, giving people I've ever met - which is important if you're going into birth working.  She volunteers her time to serving other women, to watch other people's children, to helping her friends, reading and researching how to be the best mom and (eventually) midwife she can be, and to birth working events.

She values birth education and informed decisions, she respects women's choices (even if they're not the same ones she would make), trusts women's bodies to do what they need to do, and is an unshakeable force of light and empowerment to all women and their families.

If you meet her, you'll understand.  You'll see that she is a friend not met yet, but that her professionalism will also be present.  She is the right balance of professional and personable when it comes to her working.  I am honored to know her, to have befriended her, and to have had her peaceful presence at the birth of my second son.
