As a first time father, there were a lot of people trying to give me and my wife advice. Between our relatives and people online, it was difficult to learn who to trust. It was also really confusing to navigate what to prepare for and what to expect. We decided to hire a doula because we wanted to have someone with tons of experience in our corner. We ultimately decided to use Danielle's services because it was clear that she was both knowledgeable and passionate about her job and I'm SOOO glad we did.

To be honest, I never considered using a doula for the birth of our son until we actually sat down with Danielle. She was extremely considerate of the type of birth we wanted and she let us know that she would be an advocate for us to the nurses and doctors. Prior to the delivery, she was super open and honest about what we should expect and prepare for, even if it meant simply reminding us to be flexible to the unexpected.

During the delivery, Danielle was an absolute delight to work with. She was incredible about providing strength when we needed it and encouragement when we needed it. Her years of experience were absolutely valuable when making medical decisions during the delivery. Most importantly, she helped my wife through breathing exercises and coached her through pushing. After the delivery, Danielle went the extra mile and captured photos of the first moments we had with our baby. Danielle was so considerate to take care of the details in an effort to allow us to be in the moment throughout the entire delivery. I'm so glad we used Danielle and we will definitely be using her services in the future.

Danielle assisted me with the birth of my first child, a son, this past winter. I have nothing but the highest praise in regards to her services. I had a hospital birth, but wanted to take a natural route, which can be difficult in a hospital setting. She was an incredible asset for me! She helped me work with my body through contractions, and supported my medical decisions in the hospital room. She went above and beyond when it came to explaining the medical terms being used by nurses and doctors, which made me and my husband feel safe during the birthing process. Because of her support, and the trust between us, I was able to give birth naturally, and fulfill my birth plan, which we discussed prior to labor. I highly recommend her as she is incredibly knowledgable, and a strong, peaceful presense during an intense time.

When I found out baby #2 was on the way, I knew I wanted to attempt a VBAC with a doula present. After our first meeting with Danielle, I told my husband that she was the one. She was knowledgeable and experienced, while being warm and personable; we definitely wanted her as part of our birth team. Every doctor I met with told me that I shouldn’t even attempt a VBAC and it was likely to be unsuccessful. I was labeled as high risk, but with close monitoring the baby and I were showing no signs of any issues. Not having the doctors’ support was extremely discouraging. When I would update Danielle with what the doctors were telling me, she was quick to remind me that as long as baby and I were showing no issues there was no reason I couldn’t attempt a VBAC. It was great to have someone on my side. The doctors had me schedule a repeat cesarean, but after many prayers my water broke on its own and I was given the chance to trial labor.
When we got to the hospital the doctor on call argued with me over and over why I should not be attempting a VBAC. The many risks of a VBAC were given to us; I was able to rebuttal this with the risks of a repeat Cesarean, but the doctor’s recommendation still left me wavering…until I texted Danielle, that is. She was quick to remind me of all my whys. Things progressed slowly and the doctor continued to try to convince us to opt for a repeat Cesarean. Without Danielle there, I likely would have given in… she was so calm and just continued to remind me that I could do this. One of the greatest things my husband and I appreciated was how she filled in the gaps. My husband wasn’t really sure what he should be doing and when he should be doing it – Danielle was great at guiding him with this and also seeing what I needed and jumping right in! We had a successful VBAC and I contribute a lot of that success to Danielle!

Danielle is AMAZING!!! She was so supportive and encouraging before, during, and after the birth of our second child. I am certain I would not have had a successful VBAC without her! I cannot say enough to recommend hiring a doula for any birth and specifically recommend Danielle. She worked well with my husband, as well, and really helped him to support me during the birth. She felt more like a coach directing him and also enabling him to be an active participant in the birth process. Danielle also worked well with the doctors and nurses during the labor, making sure everyone present was on the same page and had the same goals (this was really important to me as a RN). She did not push against medical interventions when appropriate and allowed my family to make decisions as needed and supported us in every possible way. I cannot imagine the birth without Danielle and am beyond blessed that she was part of JP’s birth story and my VBAC!

Danielle's friendly personality was a great fit for my husband and I as she served our family during the birth of our baby girl.  She was incredibly helpful as we navigated our second birthing experience and perceptive of what we needed throughout the entire process.  Danielle helped bring a sense of support and knowledge in the overall birthing experience but artfully allowed me to lead as she helped bring me to a place of confidence during the most challenging part of the birth.  Her ability to use humor with us was an incredible gift as we laughed and enjoyed the overall experience and fondly reflect back even now.  I'm grateful for the gift she gave my husband and I as we birth our second miracle baby, Gianna (God is gracious).  He was truly gracious to us!

Danielle was highly recommended by a trusted friend.  After our birth experience, I'd strongly agree!  From our initial meeting to our prenatal visit to encouraging texts and phone calls, Danielle was professional and personable.  She never pushed a personal agenda on us, but listened to our hopes and desires.  However, all the planning in the world doesn't mean everything will actually go according to plan.  Our son came into the world much differently than we had anticipated.  An induction turned emergency C section changed much of those initial hopes for a natural birth.  While Danielle didn't get to participate in the way she is so trained for and good at, she was an incredible support to my husband and I.  She was my moral support through the epidural, contacted my husband when he went to get some lunch and my situation changed drastically, and collected our personal things and brought them to the recovery room.  She helped my husband learn to feed our son a bottle while he waited for me to come out of surgery.  When I finally made it to recovery, she took photos and video for us, and even fed me ice chips.  Her kind spirit, sense of humor, and calm attitude helped us through those stressful hours.  I'm so thankful that Danielle was a part of our birth story.

Danielle was my doula for the VBAC birth of my 2nd baby boy. After a very long, traumatic labor and delivery of my first, I felt I needed the support of a doula to help make the birth experience more peaceful the second time around. Danielle helped me through the days of early labor with patience and understanding that I so needed. When labor truly began, she was there for us till the end. She knew when to step in to help and when to hang back and let me do my thing. She did not step on my husband's toes or any of our nurses or midwives, but she was a solid, calm, understanding person for me to turn to when I needed it. I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially someone hoping for a natural drug free birth. She was indispensable for mine!

Danielle was my doula through the VBAC birth of our 2nd son. She stayed with us throughout the whole birth and was there when I needed her and not pushy or invasive when I did not. She was really great and her support definitely made a difference in the outcome of our birth story. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a supportive and caring woman to be by their side!

My wife and I were absolutely thrilled to have Danielle as our doula during the birth of our daughter. As a first time father, I can't explain how comforting it was to have Danielle present in the hospital during this life-changing experience. As the partner, sometimes you can feel helpless watching your spouse or partner go through the pains of labor. Danielle was such a kind and calming presence - she supported us throughout the entire experience.

From the moment we met called Danielle to let her know we were on the way to the hospital, I knew we were in great hands. She coached me on how to support my wife as I drove her to the hospital (I was a little nervous given this was our first child and first experience with a hospital birth).

When Danielle arrived at the hospital, I instantly felt her support and comfort. Her presence alone was enough to make me feel confident and calm at the same time, able to support my wife. She had amazing techniques to aid my wife through the contractions. We really loved how she leveraged essential oils and a rebozo scarf to work through labor.

She was such a special and important part of our daughter's birth, and I honestly couldn't imagine her NOT being there.

Not only is she a great doula, Danielle is a great person! She is so nice and down to earth, my wife and I instantly got along with her. I feel so happy and lucky that she was there for our daughter's birth.

I cannot recommend Danielle enough! If you're in search of a doula for your birth, you should absolutely reach out to her.

Danielle is just wonderful. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with her as our doula for the birth of our first child.  She was exceptionally reassuring and knowledgable at a time when we most needed it!  My labor progressed MUCH faster than anticipated (about 4 hours total) and we barely made it to the hospital before our son was born.  Danielle was right there on the phone with me, coaching me through contractions, and met us at the hospital in time to provide support and assistance in what was an intense delivery.  I was pretty overwhelmed and in a lot of pain but she was able to stay calm and help keep me focused. She was a blessing afterwards, too; she assisted me in breastfeeding for the first time right after birth and through the transition from LDRP to my regular room. You feel completely at ease with her right away.  She provided newborn care for a couple of hours early on so my husband and I could have dinner together, and helped with a lot of new parent questions, in person, by email, and over the phone.  We would recommend her highly!

I had the privilege of working with Danielle after a complicated hospital birth that resulted in an emergency c-section and a 9-day NICU stay with my second child. Danielle was my post partum doula from week 4 through week 12. She is amazing and I highly recommend her services! She was able to assess my situation, understand my goals and provide an appropriate plan and support throughout my physical and emotional recovery. I used another agency as well however, Danielle's services are much more personable and effective. In addition to lovingly caring for my children, she did everything from night feeds, accompanying me to doctors appointments and errands, developing a weekly planner and meal menu, as well as provided reassurance while my family adjusted from a family of three to a family of four. Danielle is blessed with knowledge and wisdom, passion and compassion, life experience and professional experience, strength and groundedness. While my husband was at work and my family was an over an hour away, Danielle was my rock, my mentor, my cheerleader. All throughout, Danielle remained communicative, available via cell, reliable and flexible with tapering hours as I recovered. My family and I cannot say enough good things about her!

Danielle has been a blessing to me and my family! She was recommended by a doula who had recently moved out of the region. I am so grateful to have had her as a crucial team member during my pregnancy and during the first few months post partum. Danielle would frequently check in with me and would allow me to text her all of my questions and concerns. I endured a couple of weeks with prodromal labor and she would coach me through them each night and follow up every morning. After baby was born Danielle supported me as a postpartum doula. She listened to my concerns, assisted my breastfeeding, showed me the best way to get baby to nap, helped give my baby her first bath, prepared dinner, and shared lots of priceless advice. Danielle has an incredible wealth of knowledge about pregnancy and laboring, how to make the best of it and teaches how to make informed decisions. She is a wonderful doula and a shining example of Christ's love. I cannot imagine enduring pregnancy and labor without a doula like Danielle.

It was the first time I had a doula but my 4th birth. Each birth was fine, no major complications, I don't have long labors. My husband has been present and involved with each one so how would she fit in? Boy was I glad she was there. You never know how your birth is going to go until you're in it; it's too late to call for a doula then :) Having another set of hands there to help when I needed wound up being such a temendous blessing. He could tend to my emotional needs but there were times he got couldn't do everything and having a doula meant that extra help, the extra adovate in the room when he was too focused on me and my needs to care or pay attention to what was going on around us. She had EOs which kept me from throwing up, I had never gotten nausous during active labor before. I was so relieved she had thought to bring it with her. Her expirence meant she knew how far into my labor I was, better than we did! :) I found myself in a position wanting to give birth in it but the medical staff wanted me to change postions. In a soft but firm voice she advocated to let me try it since I was comfortable.  I used Danielle as my Doula and I would highly recommend her. Hands down, she truly made a difference in my 4th delivery, she was such a support and a great addition to our son's birth.

As a second time mom, I knew I needed a different plan this time. With my first child, I suffered from severe postpartum ODC and depression. I knew that sleep was my biggest trigger. I met with Danielle and her partner, explaining exactly what I needed: Someone to do the overnights with my newborn. Every night for 2.5 weeks, at 10pm sharp, I had a loving, supportive, attentive woman at my door who watched, fed, and doted on my baby until 6am. All of my questions about breastfeeding, baby, and self care were answered with non-judgemental suggestions and ideas based on experience and creativity. I was able to get a full night's sleep every night. I was able to physically recover and meet the needs of my newborn and my 5 year old. At 11 weeks postpartum, I am happy, healthy, and well rested. Danielle will always be in my heart for helping to make this experience as beautiful as I knew it could be. I am so blessed to have had her help me through this journey. I cannot recommend her enough. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of all that she has done for me and my family. Every mother deserves to have a postpartum doula like Danielle.

I can't say enough about how grateful I am that Danielle was a part of my birth experience. My husband and I decided to hire a doula early in my pregnancy with the hope of having the support and knowledge to experience an unmedicated vaginal birth. To my disappointment, I ended up needing a c-section because my baby was breech, but having this procedure made me even more appreciative of having chosen to hire a doula. I had a rough pregnancy emotionally and physically and went through an unsuccessful external version to try and flip the baby after trying various exercises and chiropractic treatments for weeks. Through all the ups and downs and uncertainty, I felt so grateful to have someone so supportive and experienced to go through the journey with me.  At my c-section, both my husband and Danielle were allowed in the OR. I didn't think I would "need" a doula with me during a short surgery, but after my husband left with the baby, I experienced a considerable amount of pain and fear for the next hour that I wasn't expecting at all. Danielle cracked jokes, held my hand, helped me understand what was happening to me, and showed me pictures of my baby while I was being stitched up. After the birth, I was so appreciative of Danielle's continued follow-up and both her emotional and practical support as I was learning to take care of my baby. I'm so glad I was able to have her with me during this time in my life. Her sense of humor, warmth, strength, and birthing knowledge were invaluable to both me and my husband. I would recommend her to anyone.

My experience with Danielle was amazing. She has such a big heart and went above and beyond to make sure I felt prepared and supported throughout my pregnancy, delivery of my daughter and still makes me feel like I can call her months after. I can tell that she enjoys what she does and cherishes every experience.

I was Danielle's first birth and it happened to be with my first child! I was, of course, completely clueless on all things childbirth and when she approached me and told me about all the help she wanted to provide, well, my husband and I jumped right on that! She lived next door to me at the time and was such a great support. Not only was she able to provide practical information and help me prepare, she also was there for me emotionally and physically. She painted my nails, gave me massages, and was just really a great support to have around. She was only ever supportive of the decisions my husband and I made. Never pushed us in any direction but only offered counsel and information when she was asked. The time for the birth came and she showed up instantly and never left my side...until I asked her to! I had decided on a natural childbirth in the nearby hospital. My water broke at home and so we headed straight for the hospital where i labored for 17 1/2 hours. Danielle assisted me as well as my husband, providing breaks for him in his coaching. There were times when I didn't want to be touched or talked to, when I was trying to focus through the pain. I was able to tell Danielle this and knew that she wasn't offended or upset. She gave me my space and was back again when asked for. We also needed to make a decision on what to do to move labor along. My little one did not want to come out and labor had slowed down. Danielle walked us through options and was nothing but supportive when we decided to go with Pitocin to move things along. Our 8lb 2oz daughter was born naturally and very healthy! I can't say enough about the amazing heart and passion that Danielle has for childbirth and children. This not only comes through in her work, but in her life as a wife and mother. She was single and childless when she helped me...I can't even imagine how much more help she would be now having gone through it herself!
