Kasaundra is a wonderful doula. She is extremely personable, compassionate, educated, detail oriented, and intuitive. She loves helping families and is always looking for ways to serve those around her. She makes herself available for all of her clients and truly offers them support through their experiences. I trust Kasaundra and am grateful for all she has done for me and my family.
I first had the pleasure of meeting Kasundra at a birthing expo back in February. I was interested in placenta encapsulation and fortunately won a gift certificate to do so from Eden's Roots. We communicated a few times before my due date. We found out that she was out of town when I did go into labor and we brought home the placenta and placed it in our freezer. She came the following day when she got back to our place to pick up my placenta and delivered the pills a few days later. She was really sweet and commented that I looked great and if I had any questions to refer to the email she sent.
It has been almost four months since my baby was born and I tried to take my pill religiously and they lasted about two months. They were my happy pills and I can for sure say this was the best newborn stage. This being my third baby.
I had a fantastic experience with Kasaundra as my doula. I was planning a home birth, but had some issues with prodromal labor, anxiety and maternal exhaustion at the end of my pregnancy, so I transferred to the hospital. Even though I had an epidural, Kasaundra provided much needed emotional support throughout the labor as I was still very anxious. She was fantastic! I had the most wonderful birth and I give a lot of credit to my doulas who kept my grounded. She also encapsulated my placenta afterwards and did a great job at that too.
Kasaundra was absolutely invaluable when it comes to my labor. It was a long journey, but she was willing to do whatever it took to help me through it. She was very knowledgeable and instinctively knew what I needed. She was able to help me physically through each contraction. She also continually reminded me to make low sounds through them and would make the sounds with me. After a very long labor, I made the difficult decision to transfer from birth center to the hospital for a repeat cesarean and Kasaundra stayed until after my baby was born. It must have been an exhausting day of work for her, but she did it all with a smile and was encouraging and sweet all the way through. Never intrusive, never annoying. Just willing to do whatever I needed.
