Shannon was an exceptional source of knowledge and calm during the labor and delivery of our baby.  Leading up to our due date, Shannon took time to really understand what our goals were and she supported those goals to the fullest.  Shannon is non-judgemental, easy to work with, and available at every turn. I definitely felt like she was cheering me on during the pregnancy, and certainly during labor. I really appreciated that Shannon helped my husband find his place during our labor, so he felt like he knew what to do to best support me during painful contractions.  I also appreciated that she took photos and followed up so quickly after the birth to debrief.  Shannon would make a wonderful Doula in any birth situation!

I met with Shannon around 35 weeks into my second pregnancy. I had been terrified to hire a doula, even as a doula myself, due to my PTSD and trauma. Shannon was prompt and on time to our consult. She carried such a light, calm and tender demeanor. I felt at ease and knew she was the match for me and our birth by the end of our consultation. we could afford her fee too which was important

Due to my situation with PTSD she accommodated me and met weekly to help me get more comfortable and to help me work through communicating with my other care providers. She always gave such amazing ideas and solutions. I always felt she was 100% on my side and made me feel consistently validated as I walked the terrifying journey through my trauma. I always felt more at peace after our appointments. Around 38 weeks I ended my care with my midwives as things were not a good fit for our birth. Shannon stood by me at supported me through our beautiful birth. From middle of the night texts through prodromal labor she always was there for me. She was a calm steady for me as I had a very hard labor. She let my own “doula brain” shut off and let me just be a mom in labor. That gave me peace and confidence to be able to birth our daughter at home without any intervention. She respected every request is made for modesty and space during my labor. She really went above and beyond to support our family in a way I never imagined possible. I walked out of my birth knowing there was someone I could trust through a birth process  that is HUGE for me As I have NEVER felt that way

We had a beautiful birth and she still has continued to be emotional support postpartum. Showing up to check in me when I was having a bad day and responding to every text or call  I HIGHLY recommend Shannon.

Shannon made my pregnancy and birth experience a total positive, deep and touching story. She thought me and my husband all details of child birth and being a family, answered our many questions as first time parents with patience. She was on my left side during my long and unexpected labor on thanks giving day, Even though she was not on call for me on those days! My labor started on end of week 34, Shannon helped me to understand  doctors suggestions for me and for the baby. With her help I could made the hard decisions confidently. She was also a great resource for us for newborn care. She provided proven advise for newborns and clarified our confusion on many things we found on web. I can't thank enough Shannon for being such a valuable support for me and my husband. We definitely recommend her to everyone as a perfect child birth educator, birth doula and postpartum doula.
