I recently had my second daughter and was lucky to have Cori as our doula. While my first pregnancy was fairly straight forward, this second one had some complications along the way that ultimately changed my birth plan just hours before birth. Cori was an amazing resource for information along the way, an emotional support person who understood how I was feeling and knew exactly what to say and when. She cared deeply about me without being intrusive. Cori is like a best friend who has seen it all. She can anticipate a moms needs before she can herself. When I needed to have hospital testing right before birth Cori was there and her support never waivered.  During labor Cori was hands on as I asked her to be and was incredible at helping manage discomfort and also explaining hospital procedures that were foreign to me making me feel very comfortable during the entire experience. She made efforts to ensure as much of my birth plan was followed as possible. Cori goes above and beyond expectation bonding with my other daughter and taking a holistic approach to the whole birth experience. She encapsulated my placenta and also provided a beautiful print for me to cherish. I would recommend Cori to any mama! She was a key part of a happy birth experience and I will be forever grateful for her service.

I chose Cori to do my placenta encapsulation after being recommended to her through one of my midwives. I am so grateful that I chose her! First of all, we were financially in not a great place initially  & couldn’t afford to pay the fee all at once. She was very accommodating and understanding and let us break up the payment into installments ~ allowing us to actually be able to pay for the placenta encapsulation services I felt very strongly called to do! I am so so grateful that she let us do this, because otherwise I don’t know if I would have been able to get it done. Cori went above and beyond in expectations ~ she came to pick up the placenta soon after birth & she did a “guided tour” of the placenta which was incredibly fascinating, highly recommend if you don’t know much about placentas! The placenta capsules, a tincture and cord keepsake was dropped off at my midwives office exactly when expected. Cori did a phenomenal job overall. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for placenta medicine!

Noticeably taking my placenta helped me have more energy post partum, reduced major mood swings, I did not get post partum depression. It also helped me have more clarity I found & potentilly helped contribute to building my blood back more rapidly in a natural way.

Overall I felt a difference taking my placenta, and I would 100% do it again next time around if I get pregnant again in the future.

Thank you so much for being so amazing Cori!

I truly believe that Cori has the hardest job in the world. Her heart is SO big! Cori fills a void that is missing yet necessary in a mom’s birth story. These days the women geographically closest to an expectant mother aren’t always exactly what she needs (or wants!) during her pregnancy, birth and postpartum times. Cori is! She’s the friend, mom, grandma, sister, cousin, aunt and female extraordinaire that will support you and your family through the transition into mother hood. I wasn’t exactly sure what my needs were or what I wanted from a doula with my first pregnancy/birth. Cori, it turns out, knows what you need even if you don’t. She’s perfect. Before I had my first daughter Cori and Angela came over a few times. We chatted and had tea and discussed everything baby. It was like getting together with girlfriends, not someone you’ve hired to do a job! With my second baby Cori was the doula during birth. All I needed for support during that short birth were: kind words, hair bands, drinks of water and most importantly helping my husband be a great birth partner. She, of course, provided all of these beautifully.

Cori listens to every word you say. I always felt “heard”. None of my concerns were silly or minimal to her. Her wealth of natural medicine knowledge makes it possible for a mom to have the healthiest pregnancy, birth and baby possible.

To sum Cori up in a few words: supportive, understanding, patient, encouraging, funny, easy going, SMART, gentle, and compassionate. She understands that all families are different and require different care. She’s an angel sent to pregnant mom’s everywhere. Be careful when you hire her for you’ll find a spot in your heart that has been needing and missing her and you’ll want to keep her forever. I’ll never forget her and will always have a special spot in my heart for her.

Hiring Cori and Angela from Northwest Nourishment as my doulas is one of the best decisions I have ever made. These doulas go above and beyond for their clients.
You won't regret it.
This testimonial is for Cori.

Cori is everything you will ever want in a doula. From the first time I met her, she never felt like a stranger. Cori is a breath of fresh spring air- She is cool, calm, and sweet. She is not simply my doula, she is now a friend. Cori is incredibly knowledgeable. She listened to my fears and gave me information when I needed it. I always felt heard, supported, and respected. She is HIGHLY intuitive. There were times in my labor when she was everything I needed without ever having to ask me to define my needs. I could always feel her presence and hear her words of encouragement. My birth was fast and intense yet natural and healing.
She empowered me.
She is invaluable.

Hello all, I'm Brooke, my husband Shane and I welcomed our first baby on my 36th birthday! We named her Violet and Cori and her resources were a huge part of her birth story. We delivered with Puget Sound Birth Center, with the Eastside midwifes who referred Cori. I could tell by the way she was being described that she was a perfect match for us. I called her and we had an immediate connection. She was easy to talk to, had great confidence and professionalism. She asked me to check out a few of her colleques. I looked, maybe called one. Truth is we had already decided on Cori and called her back to ask her to be our Doula! The best part about having Cori is that she is so easy to talk to. There was never a time or subject matter that I was embarrassed to discuss. She has an easyness to her and wealth of knowledge, she provided so many helpful documents and exercises that I have no doubt contributed to Violet's beautiful and successful natural birth. Cori is extremely intuitive, she has a way of knowing what momma's need and when. She checked in on me often and I always wanted to talk to her and loved how easy it was to express myself to her. When your pregnant, with your first baby, that's huge. You need to have someone who you can spill beans with, without being embarrassed and Cori was that person for me. She got me through a lot of emotions and physical pain. Cori was never unavailable to me, even when she took a short vacation. I couldnt have found Cori on my own and she means so much more to us now. It's a beautiful thing to deliver a baby surrounded by strong, smart compassionate and amazing women and Cori was one of them. There's isn't enough space to write everything I want to say because this girl has so much good in her. She is amazing and never failed us in any way. She is still here for us 8 weeks later and I have no doubt for the rest of our lives.

We are so grateful to have had Cori at the birth of our first Daughter Lillian. The calm confidence she provided to our experience helped maintain a nurturing enviornment to welcome our little one. Beyond her assistance in our birth process she also provided her placenta encapsulation services. We were apprehensive when we first heard about this type of postpartum nutrition but after extensive research aswell as hearing the experences of women who have had first hand expeirence with the benefits, we decided to pursue someone knowledgable and experienced to handle something so precious. We found that and more with Cori. She was extremely expedient and delivered them with a wealth of information to reassure us that we'd made the right descision. I have been enjoying the benefits now for nearly two weeks and am now a huge advocate for this form of supplimantation to help handle post partum hormonal swings, fatigue, and breastfeeding aid. I cant say it enough, Cori is amazing at what she does and we are so incredibly graeful to have had someone so passionate, professional and careing involved in our welcoming our newborn!

We were so fortunate to have Cori as our doula. She was extremely attentive and genuinely caring from the time we first met. She is very considerate and open minded to client needs and wishes and has great knowledge, which she is very willing to share. Cori has a very warm, sensitive and clam nature which is exactly what I needed.

While laboring at home, Cori maintained a great energy and gave me confidence. Her wonderful attention to detail and ability to adapt was also clearly evident throughout the labor. She certainly represented us well and was our advocate during our time at the hospital. Her constant encouragement pulled me through the most difficult times and she guided my husband on how to best assist, when necessary.

Her passion for what she does is clearly evident. I would highly recommend Cori as your doula and would hope to have her as part of our birth team if we were to do it again!

We truly can't say enough about how great it was to work with Cori. We interviewed another doula first, and although she was more experienced, we decided to go with Cori based on her incredibly warm and welcoming personality. We ended up having a very long 46 hour labor with lots of curve balls thrown at us and Cori was so present and so encouraging the entire time. Not only did she go above and beyond to support me during this difficult time, but she was instrumental in getting my husband through some scary parts. She made him feel at ease and helped him to be as efficient as possible throughout labor. I can honestly say that I don't think I would have made it through labor the way I did without Cori by my side. Not only is she a great doula, but she is also a beautiful person and we feel so blessed that she was able to play such a large role in the birth of our son. You will be so happy you chose Cori as your doula! (Also, she took the time to knit my son a beautiful green hat after he was born. We will treasure both it and our experience with Cori forever.)

My wife an I shared one of the most beautiful experiences in our lives with Cori as our Doula, the birth of our first son.

Cori went far beyond our expectations, she was warm and supportive. She made us feel comfortable and she was always in connection with us.

Even after she was done with the post-partum visits she always went the extra mile and was still willing to help answering questions and she kept in touch. Cori always cared about us and our baby.

We feel blessed that we had Cori with us in what was the most beautiful but also most challenging experience in our lives.

Thank you Cori!
