Theresa was professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process and provided me and my husband with unparalleled peace of mind and support. She followed my lead and matched my energy. She helped me find resources to prepare mysef and I ended up having my dream birth (vaginal delivery with no pain meds or interventions.) My labor was so quick that we didn't have time to text her until I was at 8 cm. She arrived shortly after our baby was born and helped me establish breastfeeding. Because she was not able to attend the birth (my labor was 4 hours long from water breaking to birth), I was offered a discount and 10 hours of postnatal help. She is passionate about her role and has a great, calming energy about her. I would highly recommend her to all.
Theresa was my doula for my first birth and I am so grateful to have found her. Now only was she a great support person throughout the pregnancy, but she was such a calming and encouraging presence during the birth. My husband and I would have been so stressed and lost without her! She worked great with the hospital staff, has been so professional and knowledgable, and has a personality that makes you feel like you're with a good friend! Thanks so much, Theresa!
I hired Theresa after sitting down with her for about 20 minutes at a Meet the Doulas event. We just clicked, and it felt right.
She was always there, prenatal, to answer any and all questions, offer help, and affirm that I could do this - my body could do this.
The morning my water broke, I called her to let her know. She texted me throughout the morning to see how I was doing, and then made her way to me just when I needed her.
I had horrible back labor, and she knew hip squeezes would hlep - and boy am I ever thankful for that. She kept giving positive affirmations - back rubs, hip squeezes - giving my husband a break and helping me through contractions.
She and my midwife worked together to get me into different positions to help turn the baby - and all of their work helped make my labor and delivery successful and amazing.
I would highly recommend Theresa - she cares and is hands on. I'm happy to say I gained a friend through it all. <3
Working with Theresa was amazing. She gave me the strength and confidence that my body knew what it was doing during my labor. Delivery was a breeze. Having her as a friend already, she knew my birth plan from the start, every single step of the way happened as it should. She kept my room quiet, kept anybody out that wasn’t part of my plan and allowed me to breathe and work like I needed to. She listened to every concern that my boyfriend and I had about the process, and helped us understand what we can do to Understand every possibility, her hip squeezes were spectacular She also took my placenta home for me... and whipped up a few truffles along with my capsules! It was quite a treat! Theresa is very knowledgeable in what she does, she has had wonderful training and I recommend her to everybody in need of an advocate during their birth.
