I have known Jennifer-Dalia for over ten years now. From school teacher, to dance teacher, to post-partum doula, her talents and abilities are endless. I recently became a mother and honestly don’t know how I would have done it without Jennifer-Dalia. Throughout my entire pregnancy, which was not easy, I knew Jennifer-Dalia was just a phone call away. She was a fantastic source of information with regard to all stages of pregnancy as well as birth. Her calm, gentle, supportive personality was truly what I needed. When my beautiful baby boy finally arrived, she immediately came to the hospital to visit. Her knowledge and guidance really helped with my transition into motherhood. I called her the “baby whisperer.” She has a special gift for nurturing. Her wonderfully gentle and calming personality enables her to not only soothe crying babies but sometimes the mothers, too! Being a first time mother can be a little scary and overwhelming – Jennifer-Dalia was and still is a great comfort! She also helped me so much when it came to breastfeeding, and seven months later I am still nursing my son, which I thought I could never do. I am grateful for the knowledge and confidence she instilled in me and I would highly recommend her as a post partum doula!

I am writing to recommend Jennifer, as a wonderful postpartum doula. Jennifer worked with my family and had been a great support during a time of transition.

After giving birth to my second child, some things were certainly easier, yet, there were also greater challenges. Jennifer helped me as I learned to balance caring for more than one child. She listened with compassion as I talked to her about difficulties we were having and offered sound advice. She was considerate and respectful of all of my choices and made me feel good about myself as a mother. She is a genuine, caring person, and this makes a mother feel very comfortable around her.

Having Jennifer around allowed me to do simple things such as sit down for dinner or accomplish a task or two on the ever-growing, "to do list." She was wonderful with both of my children. My toddler adored her, and my newborn was easily soothed in her arms. Having Jennifer there to attend to one of the children made it much easier for me to attend to the other. This was so important during that critical adjustment time.

Jennifer helped my family tremendously, and I would strongly recommend her to other growing families.

With sincere appreciation,
Lauren Lipman

My wife and I have six children and we have never heard of a postpartum doula or were familiar with what a postpartum doula does. I got to observe Jennifer do this job when I came home from work. How nice it was to have help for my wife with meal preparation, tidying the house, folding laundry and even having time once I came home, to talk to my wife uninterrupted, as Jennifer took our children outside.

Having Jennifer here was a big help and it was nice to see my wife less stressed, at the end of the day. I would recommend Jennifer, she did a great job.

Sincerely,

Chris

As a mother to six children, I thought I had known all there was to know about the early days of life with a newborn baby. The concept of a doula was new to me and one I was not all too familiar with. Jennifer came to my house, when our newest son was 8 weeks old and worked with us until he turned 12 weeks old.

I wish I had known about doulas sooner. What a blessing Jennifer was to our family. She was born to be a doula. Jennifer is a care taker and sympathetic person. Jennifer assisted me with meal preparation and cleaning up. She lent a hand and rocked my baby, so I could take a hot shower. Jennifer even took my other children outside, so I could talk to my husband, uninterrupted at the end of the day. Jennifer assisted me with laundry and even helped me run errands, while I was present. She spent time with us as a family and offered local referrals, even support on sibling adjustment and breastfeeding. Now that Jennifer has been here, I don’t know how we ever managed without her!

I heartily recommend her!

Sincerely,

Katie

Our family was fortunate enough to have Jennifer be our postpartum doula, as we welcomed our second son. My husband was studying for his MBA in addition to holding down a full-time job so both of us were stretched thin. Jennifer helped me with things that I didn’t even realize I needed! She straightened up my older son’s toys and tried to make him feel special. When he made his preference clear for Mommy, she gently faded herself to take care of the baby so I could spend time with him. She also offered to do my dishes and unload my dishwasher. Jennifer was more than willing to feed my newborn and change his diapers, so I could read books with my older son. When things were quieter, she listened to my struggles with not having much family support and provided internet resources for additional help. Jennifer was non-judgmental and shared her opinions in a respectful way. I didn’t know what a postpartum doula was until I met Jennifer, and looking back on our experience, I’m so grateful she came at such an exciting, yet overwhelming time for our family. Other families would be lucky to have her assistance!

I had a wonderful experience with Jennifer when my daughter was born. We lived out of state at that time and Jennifer offered continuous support via phone and email checking in as well as sending helpful references. I truly value the time she took to spend with me. Her gentle spirit and open heart combined with the authentic joy she has for babies and children makes her someone that I would recommend to anyone looking for a post partum doula.
