I chose to hire Victoria for my home-birth at our first meeting and after having interviewed 4 potential doulas. The points that went into my decision-making were the following. First off, my midwife was very young, and I was craving an older, more mature, motherly presence at my birth. Victoria naturally has it, due to her age and the wealth of your experience. Secondly, I appreciated Victoria's knowledge about herbs and natural remedies. She gave me so many tips as per what I could use before the birth to ease into it and to alleviate late pregnancy symptoms, as well as the herbs to support lactation and restore reproductive function after the birth. And what solidified my decision was hearing her speak to her family over the phone. Having 3 loving children of her own and being in a close supportive relationship with her parents, I felt like this woman is actually walking her talk and working on the beautiful natural connection between generations.

At the actual birth what proved indispensable was her bodywork skills. This woman is STRONG:) I had intense lower back pain due to the positioning of my baby, and Victoria applied incredible, strong pressure to my pelvis with every single contraction - for hours to come! She coached me through every transition and was such a great help. My man got very lucky that we hired such a strong doula, he really didn't have to do much with Victoria around. She managed the flow at the birth with confidence and ease.

After our baby's arrival, Victoria paid us a few visits. Her manner with the baby, tips on exercise for the little one, and how helpful she was around the house were all much needed and appreciated. It was also really helpful that Victoria spoke Russian, because she helped keep my mother, who flew in from Belarus for my birth, calm, well informed and welcome. Overall, not a single regret for having hired Victoria. We hope to work with her for our second child! Highly recommended!

Hiring Victoria was truly the best investment I could have done during the pregnancy . She helped me so much ! We met twice before I went to labor and she gave me so many great advices .. she was also always available  , whenever I needed her . During the labor she was an angel to me . I would recommend her to everyone that is looking for doula . Even when I came home from the hospital , she was the one person I would always ask for advice.

Im really happy I met Victoria . She’s more than just a doula to me now she’s my friend .

When I met Victoria, what initially stood out to me was the breadth of her experience and her commitment to gaining new skills, which signified her passion. She was very clear that her job as a doula was to do what I liked, not what she liked. Victoria showed her supportive nature throughout my pregnancy (1st baby) by answering my constant emails about any stressful thing I encountered. When I had to change care providers, when I was caught up in deep fears about breech, when my amniotic fluid was high... she was always positive, gave input and reminded me that the best thing I could do for my baby was to stay calm and happy. She came to our home and gave my husband and myself excellent massages and she even trained in hynobirthing techniques because I was taking hynobirthing!

In labor, Victoria met me at my doctor's office for my check up and then walked home with me and my husband. She prompted me to lean on trees during contractions and joked about how my doctor thought I was experiencing Braxton Hicks, and the long walk and humor really made my labor progress smoothly and quickly. She applied good back pressure when things got more serious. She sat in the back of the cab with me and continued to work on my back, helping me to keep calm (the cab ride was the part where I was most worried about losing my focus.) When we arrived at the hospital I was already 8 cm, and for the most intense bit in the delivery room she coached me through EVERY SINGLE BREATH and I cannot imagine doing it without her. Her voice came through over all the other nonsense in the room and she reminded me of my visualization and how to breath the baby down. My body did all the work, I was sucessful in my goal of a drug free birth and my son is perfect. In postpartum she brought a little birthday cake for my baby, which was so touching. There isnt enough space here to describe everything she did, but her presence was essential.

My experience with Victoria was amazing. She helped me out a lot. I am a first time mom, I was very nervious and always had a ton of questions prepared for her. She not just could answer to any of my question, she could always answer her phone, even if it was at the middle of the night. ( Yeah, i was that anxious and always scared sth could go wrong).

My son is almost 2 years old, but she is still my first person to call, if my son is sick, or I have my "mommy tantrums". Yes, moms have those too. She always knows what to say. She is a great support for me and my son.

Victoria was an essentual part of my sons birth. Her recommendations before and after birth were invaluable. During the birth she worked well with my husband and hospital staff. My delivery would not be the same without her. I am so greatful she was with us. When you are in active labor it's hard to follow what people doing around you. I felt incredibly safe with Victoria, knowing that she would make sure my desires would be met.

She met me and my husband at the hospital and walked me to the labor and delivery guiding through each contraction, which were every 2 minutes! Each contraction Victoria would hold my hands, breath with me and talked to me in just perfect way. And she kept guiding me through the whole time.

I have elected to have natural delivery at the hospital and in the hospital you need someone who is watchin for your intersts with a cool head head and passionate heart like Victoria. Not to mention that she can be very very firm if and when needed.  If I am having second child I would love to have Victoria with me again. And second time around I would choose to do it not in the hospital as I am so much more confident ain myself and trusting the process thanks to Victoria.
