My husband and I decided to hire Margie as our doula when we decided that we wanted a natural childbirth. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula for support during pregnancy, birth, and for assistance after the birth no matter what type of birth experience they would like. She provided up to date and beneficial information on exercises to prepare for childbirth and talked to us about the different stages of the birthing process so we understood what would be happening to my body. She also discussed diet and exercise so that the baby and I were as healthy as possible. She answered all of our questions and made sure both I and my husband were comfortable with the birthing process. She also assisted us in preparing a birth plan.

When I went into labor we found out that the baby was in a breech position and ended up having a C-Section after 12 hours of labor. I had done little research on what was involved with a C-section and was thankful to have her there to explain the process and to give us ideas on what to do during the procedure so that we could have the best birth experience possible. After the procedure she stayed with us to help with breast feeding and to give us advice for my recovery period. She visited us after we returned from the hospital several times with homemade cookies and a casserole and helped us with some chores around the house. We were first time parents and were nervous about how to care for our new baby. She helped ease our nerves about bathing our baby and trimming his nails. If my husband and I ever decided to have another child I would hire Margie in a heartbeat. She was caring, compassionate, and never hesitated to do everything that she could to make my husband and I confident about our labor. She was amazing!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Margie with the birth of our first child! Margie did a wonderful job educating us on the realities of labor/delivery. She talked through multiple positions, the mental thought process, and of course breathing techniques for contractions during our education which really helped prepare us for the real deal. My first meeting with her made me feel completely at ease/relaxed so I knew she was the right doula for me. One of the great things about Margie is that I could (and still do) talk to her about any (and I mean ANY) concerns/questions that I felt uncomfortable discussing with my friends and even family. Towards the end of my pregnancy my OB was a bit concerned about some things and Margie proactively sent me scientific articles broken down in easy language to read about what was going on. During labor Margie was with us the whole time, supporting my back, suggesting different positions, being positive, and helping me keep relaxed and focused. My husband was so thankful to have Margie there to support not only me, but him as well. Honestly, I do not think I would have been able to have a natural birth without her! I plan to have Margie attend future births as well.

my experience with Margie Lillig was amazing.  I felt very supported and comforted my entire labor and delivery. She made several visits to me beforehand as well to help prepare me for what was to come.  The best part was that she not only was there for me but for my husband as well. I know he was nervous and she truly assisted in putting him at ease and gently guiding him as to how to be there for me through the whole process. She was really just an overall blessing to have there.

Margie has blessed the ministry at Lady Bugg House by the loving and powerful way she has walked alongside and served the moms and babies of our family! She is not only skillful in supporting a mom during pregnancy, through labor, and continuing post care, but most importantly she imparts the Father's love and encouragement to their hearts as they are in difficult places in life. I have been blessed by her servants heart!

My experience with Margie actually reaches back to before Margie was certified.  Margie was absolutely instrumental in helping me get on my feet with nursing our son Judah after his 3 week stay in the NICU.  She was relentlessly encouraging.  She enabled me to focus on recovering from labor and delivery and nursing Judah by taking care of EVERYTHING ELSE!!  What a blessing.  She even reminded me to eat and gave me water at regular intervals so that I would continue producing milk.  Margie's presence brought so much peace in a very stressful and hard season of my life.  I so appreciate her services.  And I would recommend her to anyone as a doula!
