Upon meeting Erica, my boyfriend and I knew that we wanted her to be our doula. She was very friendly and instantly made us feel comfortable with her. As first time parents, we wanted to do everything we could to feel more confident about having the birth we envisioned. Erica was always responsive to our questions, even via text, before and after delivery. Aside from affordability and personality compatibility, it was also really important to me that my doula have experience with different pain management methods, which Erica has. In the end, i labored so quickly that i didn't end up taking advantage of any pain management and was still able to have the natural, unmedicated birth that I'd hoped for. Having Erica's reassurance and knowledge gave me the courage to follow through with my plans.

Beyond the birth, Erica also offered placenta encapsulation services at a very reasonable cost. She even delivered the bottle of placenta capsules to my house a couple days later. On top of that, she created a tincture and an umbilical cord keepsake.

Overall, I was very happy with our relationship with Erica and would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula in the Austin area!

My experience with Erica was absolutely wonderful.  She has such an amazing personality and warm presence, and I knew from the moment I met her that I wanted her to be my doula.  Throughout my pregnancy she was readily available to chat, offer motivation and answer any questions I had.  During my long difficult labor she stayed by my side and used aromatherapy and massage to keep me calm and comfortable.  The experience of seeing unmedicated labor was a bit terrifying for my husband, and Erica also kept him calm and guided him in being involved with my labor.  When I started to feel like I couldn't do it, she cheered me on and gave me the strength I needed to keep going.  I honestly don't know how I would've done it without her.  Allowing somebody entrance into an experience as intimate as childbirth is such a big deal, and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to bond with Erica and have her there for my birth.  She is truly an angel, and I couldn't ask for a more wonderful doula!

Erica was an absolute God send! We made our final decision to hire a doula rather late (36 weeks) and I was worried that we wouldn't have the time to really connect with her on a personal level before we were thrown into a labor and delivery room together, but she made such an effort to get to know us and our situation that it felt like I was there with a dear friend. She was always available, always on time, and always willing to drop everything and help. My labor was tough. Back labor, unmedicated, fourth baby so it was fast and furious. Erica was able to keep me focused and as comfortable as possible. She was there to support my husband, who was also amazing, with her help! In the end, I delivered a healthy 7 pound, 3 ounce baby boy, and I can say, with conviction, that things would've been much different without Erica there.

The first time I met Erica I knew she is going to be with me for the birth of my daughter. Like all the first time expecting moms I was scared, excited and nervous. But just talking to her was enough to calm me down. She is such an amazing personality. I did not have my family around and my husband had no clue what was coming ahead. She was beside him like a trusted friend. From the time my water broke till I hold my baby for the first time, it was long 26 hours. She was present there with her wisdom, patience and support both for me and my husband. She kept informing me about the progress of labor and kept on re-assuring me. The most amazing part was her promptness in responding calls. It was 4 am in the morning when my water broke, I was hesitant to call her this early but the moment she got the call she was on her way. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Doula. And for me , if there is a second time I know whom to call.
