Jenny Adams Boeing

My husband and I found having Jen’s guidance crucial throughout our pregnancy and delivery. The labor experience seemed so overwhelming, but meeting with Jen before the big day calmed our nerves as she helped to educate us in our choices. She explained what to expect and acted as our advocate and coach. We always felt supported and comforted by her knowledge.

Jen helped to execute an ideal delivery. Her calming ways focused me and made my husband feel involved and at ease as well. Whenever people ask how I was able to deliver without medical intervention, I always respond, “Well, we had a wonderful doula!” She made the impossible seem possible that birth day and encouraged and cheered us the whole time. I highly recommend Jen and am forever grateful she was there for me as we welcomed our daughter into the world. We absolutely look forward to working with her again!

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Jen and the service she provides.

From start to finish, our experience with Jen was professional, pleasant, and educational. There are many aspects of childbirth that we were not aware of; Jen was crucial in our understanding of the procedure.

She helped us to craft our birth plan; our “perfect scenario” but made sure we were aware that things don’t always go according to plan and wouldn’t be shocked if that were the case.

Jen was available as a resource throughout our pregnancy. We met with her a couple of times before the birth of our son so that we felt comfortable as the labor and delivery approached.

I felt supported 100% by Jennifer in my plans for a med-free birth. She helped me achieve my goal and I will forever be grateful for her services and support. Jen never left our side during our labor experience and was a great support for my husband who was giving all of his energy to me. We cannot recommend her enough and we will most definitely look to Jen for involvement in any future births. ??

I cannot thank Jen enough for her role as a doula in the birth of our daughter. The two meetings in the months beforehand were helpful to get the ball rolling on our research of our options in birth and for our baby. She didn't ever pressure us to choose anything but instead gave us the tools to make decisions for ourselves.

Jen came to the hospital with a big bag full of tools that helped us through the intense hours of our unmedicated labor. Jen was instrumental in pain management and knew exactly what to do when labor became very intense. She helped me change positions, used counter pressure and so many more things that I won't remember. She was always in the right place at the right time for both myself and my husband.

In our postpartum meeting, it was great to meet with Jen to talk about my labor experience and ground myself after the emotional roller coaster of birth, recovery and the first week of caring for a newborn. Jen was instrumental with her knowledge of breastfeeding and emotional support immediately after. If I had the opportunity, I would have hired Jen as a postpartum doula without hesitation. She also took amazing pictures in the room immediately after delivering the baby and captured some incredible photos . Looking back, I can't believe the pictures were a part of the deal, because people pay a lot of money for pictures like these.

If I could give one piece of advice to someone considering hiring a doula, it would be to do your research and hire a doula who is a good fit for your family. After doing our research and having a consultation appointment, my husband and I chose to hire Jen as our doula and it was one of the best decisions we made in preparation for birth. She was invaluable. At first, the price of hiring a doula seems daunting, however the value far exceeds the price tag and I would recommend that any woman hire Jen to become part of your birth team.

Working with Jen was the best decision my husband and I made! After attending the Babies and Bumps convention in Buffalo and receiving loads of information on the benefit of having a doula - I researched doulas in the area and reached out to Jen. I knew when I met with her the first time to discuss what I was looking for that I absolutely wanted her on my birth team. I had ambivalent feelings about my OB/GYN providers, so I knew I needed to have very supportive people in my corner to honor my wishes for a natural, umedicated childbirth. Jen was incredibly supportive, encouraging and uplifting throughout my pregnancy journey. She was available by phone and email to offer advice, answer questions, educate me on options and empower me to make the best decisions for myself and my baby. Jen met with my husband and I twice to go over birth preferences and comfort measures leading up to the big day. The weekend of my labor, Jen was an angel. I started having contractions on 8/4/17 while at work, and she reached out to me before I had the chance to contact her. We kept in touch throughout the weekend and she came over to my house Saturday night to help my husband and I before we went to the hospital. Long story short, I had an incredibly long labor (first baby - and back labor!) - we spent 16+ hours at the hospital - and my plans for an umedicated labor went out the window. However, Jen stayed with my husband and I throughout the entire process offering natural, holistic comfort measures. She was a calm and serene presence in the delivery room that we both needed that day. Jen was also able to take some very raw, emotional photos of the delivery of our sweet daughter which we will cherish forever. Since the birth of our little one, Jen came over for a postpartum visit, linked me with services for placenta encapsulation and has checked in with me to see how things are going. She is wonderful and I would recommend her services to anyone!

Bringing a child into the world is a transformative and intense experience that is unique to every person. Because of that, it is so important to make decisions surrounding your pregnancy and birth that support and reflect what is important to you. There are so many options that exist and choices that need to be made and hiring a doula, specifically Jen Lombardo, was the best first decision my husband and I feel we made in having a healthy pregnancy and a birth that we are so happy with.

Our vision for bringing our son into the world was that we wanted a healthy baby and healthy mom, and envisioned a natural birth in a hospital. Jen was wonderful and patient with us, and explained all of our options as well as making suggestions of resources that existed to help us. What we loved most about having Jen as a resource during pregnancy was her assured nature and willingness to answer any questions we had. She was very thorough in her explanations of what we could expect with a natural birth in a hospital, and with what questions it was important to have answers for. We really understood what decisions needed to be made and felt confident speaking with all people involved in the process of pregnancy and birth to make our wishes clear.

During birth, my mother, my husband, and myself all said that Jen's presence was essential to all of us feeling so happy with how everything happened. Even with the unexpected, we all felt Jen's support with pain management, relaxation, emotional support, helping to navigate hospital practices, and birth itself was amazing. My husband and mom both said they appreciated Jen's guidance during birth so they could be most useful and supportive to me. Jen's calm and strong support will always be a core positive memory from a pregnancy and birth we are pleased with.

I cannot reccomend Jen Lombardo's doula servies enough!  We loved working with her.

Jen was fantastic, I would highly recommend her! I had my hesitations about hiring a doula, but the planning sessions alone were an incredible help as there were so many things I hadnt even thought about as I was having a hospital birth And nobody tells you that you have choices! She was also great in the aspect that my baby's dad lives out of the country and I didn't have a partner to come to the hospital with me. She kept me from panicking during labor, and although the delivery was quick (she nearly had to catch the baby!) she was right there for that too and got to be the one to tell my mom and dad they there grandparents! Definitely give Jen a call even if you're just thinking of maybe getting a Doula, it's so worth it!

Having Jennifer as my doula was one of the best decisions I made surrounding my son's birth. During my pregnancy she was able to come to our home to discuss my wishes and teach us labor techniques. She was also available via text message which I especially appreciated her fast and reassuring responses to my questions/concerns. When I went into labor Jennifer calmly guided us until we could meet her at our birth facility and she became the angel in the room watching over me. Her tenacity provded true when she stayed with us throughout my weekend-long labor providing me comfort, support, and even running errands as needed. Her calm and confident presence helped me during the hardest parts- all I had to do was look at her and I knew I could get through it. When it turned out I had to transfer to the hospital, Jennifer made no hesitation on coming with us and played a vital role in the final hours of my labor and delivery. Immediatley post-delivery she was able to capture beautiful photographs and help me remind me of my wishes when everything was happening so fast. Jennifer was also the one who helped guide me and my son onto his first lactch and breastfeeding experience. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a doula who can provide multiple services with kindness, understanding, and knowledge.

Having Jennifer there in the weeks leading up to my labor and then having her there during my labor, was one of the best investments in our pregancy journey that we made. Not only having her there 'on call' gave my husband and I a piece of mind, but she also shared her experiences she had which were needed to have the labor we envisioned. Jennifer was great to work with throughout it all! She was supportive, caring, throughtful, organized, informed and just overall amazing. I felt after this experience I was blessed to have a labor I wanted and could not have thanked her enough for that. During labor she was giving us tips and there as a support for not only me, but also my husband. For my next pregancy I plan on having Jennifer there again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an individualized birthing experience!

My husband and I felt very blessed to have had Jennifer Lombardo involved in our pregnancy and labor. Jennifer meet with us multiple times prior to labor and taught us different comfort strategies. She always made us feel comfortable and supportive every decision we made. During the labor she was there when we called and provided both my husband and I with the individual support we needed. She helped us through transition, where my husband was having difficulty seeing me in so much pain. Jennifer constantly provided encouraging words and a positive attitude throughout the entire labor. After our son was born she capture beautiful moments with her camera that I will cherish forever. We have/would recommend Jennifer to other couples as she was a tremendous support to us.

Jennifer was a great resource and answered many of our questions leading up to the birth. She readily made herself available at our convenience and spent countless hours with us as we went through an unexpected long labor. I felt taken care of both physically and emotionally. It was a very memorable, positive experience for the birth of our daughter. You can tell that she as a passion for the miracle of birth.
