Postpartum Rate: $0 to $30

Fee Details: The fee listed above includes 2 visits before the birth, in addition to one visit post-partum. I attend the full birth, and will assist mom to labor at home, suggesting comfort measures for pain-relief and increased comfort. Many families currently pay an average of $650 for my services during the birth. You can pay on a payment plan as long as you're able to complete payments within 6 months of the birth of your child. A $100 deposit is expected 8 weeks prior to your due date. Ideally, the balance can be paid before your birth. If you have an overtly low-income lifestyle and feel these fees are too high, make a case for yourself when you contact me. It is feasible to provide continuous labor support for a lower price that provides the rest of the informative sessions virtually via phone, skype, conference call etc. I am also open to providing post-partum services for your family.

Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

I have extensive training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I implement workshops with providers to expand effectiveness in treating families sufferers from these kinds of experiences. Many of my moms use alternative medicine practices in their pregnancies/deliveries. This includes things like chiropractic, acupuncture, Jin-Shin Jyutsu, Yoga, etc. I believe strongly in Mom’s Decisionmaking before, during and after birth. I encourage and share resources on great nutrition, exercise and the effective use of wholistic medicine to improve birth and early childhood outcomes. I work with families who are making a variety of different choices regarding birth and support them no matter what choices they are making.

Amy Marie Sol , An Amazing , mild mannered , extremly gentle soul Wombman.

I first came to know Amy Marie , in N.C. for a Wise Womens Herbal Conference where she struck a cord In My heart then , way before she assited me In the birth of my first child.

She had a calmness ,almost stillness to her person as she was tucked off in our special gathering space for women of color , just knitting away... Just Lovely she was and so kind.

I had continued to reach out to her as the season progressed then Into the next years Winter. We talked , I afforded her The Good news of our gift, Our newly arrival, and she just continued to hold me In such a sacred place without even being present in our lives ,until the Summer Season .. all was right On time with her in Our connection and Her presence..

Then as we got closer to The time of Ians Arrival , she would visit , US check In on US ,and even Cook and Clean for US at Times. It was such a Blessing. WHen I was going into the Waves of My sons Arrival , she would be there to Cool me Off , Help center my Mind and body ,and she would annoint me with Lavandar a MOST PRECIOUS Allie.

Amy Maries presence and touch was absolutley right On time , and I appreciate now and forever more , she was our Real live Gaurdian Angel and we Love her .

There are not enough words to describe how great Amy Marie was during my pregnancy and labor/delivery. I moved to the area a few years ago, so I do not have my immediate family here. I will admit when I first learned I was pregnant, I panicked and thought, "Oh no, how will I ever get through labor?" When I read through Amy Marie's profile and first talked to her on the phone, I knew she was the right choice. She is a warm, caring individual who is extremely knowledgeable on pregnancy care, labor and delivery, and postpartum support. During the second trimester, Amy Marie provided me with books and other items to help me have a healthy, happy pregnancy. As the due date approached, she accompanied me to my OB-GYN visits and checked in with me every morning and night. I honestly felt like she became a family member during the pregnancy. I loved having someone I could immediately reach and ask questions, especially when I entered the early stages of labor. As a first time mom, I did not know if some of my symptoms were normal or when I needed to go to the doctor's office, but she helped me remain calm and positive. She always emphasized the end goal of holding my baby in my arms, no matter how the delivery went. On the day my sweet baby boy was born, she arrived at the hospital and continued providing me with her wisdom. I honestly think it is because of her that I did not have to be induced from the very beginning or undergo a c-section. She held my hand like a sister, smiled, and emphasized the fact that I was doing so well. Although I cannot remember every detail, I recall the instances where she helped to cool me down with a wet cloth, placed lavender oil to calm me, etc. Ten weeks after my son's birth, I continue to communicate with her and provide her with updates. She also continues to provide me with advice.  I am eternally grateful to have found Amy Marie, and I hope she will be present in my life if and when I decide to have more children.

Amy Marie and I had an instant connection.  She is humble, soft spoken, calm and patient.  When I found out I was pregnant, Amy Marie was the first person that came to my mind.  I knew in that instant that she is and was the perfect person to care for me and my family.  Her extensive baby care and experience over the years made my choice even easier for my doula.  She has been thoroughly trained and had me thinking about everything pertinent to childbirth throughout our pregnancy journey and beyond.  This was irreplacable, being a first time mother.  When the day came for my little boy to coming to the World Amy Marie came over and helped me labor at home.  The contractions went all through the night before ending at the hospital for the delievery.  She helped me labor through the toughest contractions getting me to my goal.  A 100% natural birth without any medication or unnecessary interventions.  She guided my fiance in how to help me through my time of diffult contractions and through the delievery.  I couldn't have been successful in my quest for a natural medication free birth without Amy Marie!!!
