Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

I am passionately supporting birthing people and partners through whatever birth journey is right for them. I have volunteered with the Bronx WIC doula exchange program as well as being an affiliated doula with Carriage House Birth in Williamsburg. As a doula, I am a firm believer in the incredible power a birthing body holds. I believe our bodies are crafted for childbirth and grow babies that we can birth naturally. I am trained in the Rebozo techniques, which are natural pain management techniques with a woven cloth that looks like a scarf. I am also familiar with Hypnobirthing, Birthing from Within, and Bradley methods. All of this being said, we are lucky enough to have fantastic medical services if they are medically necessary. My goal is to help you and your partner feel completely informed about the entire birthing process and then physically support you during labor, birth, and immediately postpartum. For postpartum work, I use my experience of over 10 years with infants and postpartum knowledge to support new parents through the beginning of their parenting journey through breastfeeding support, birth processing, chores around the house, overnight feeds, babywearing, gentle sleep training, and more. I am also trained in postpartum health and healing including belly binding and vaginal steaming. **I am comfortable and experienced with twin postpartum work.** I would be honored to help support your family in any way you need!

Denisse DiCristina

As a first time mom I started doing some serious research. I decided from very early in my pregnancy that I wanted one of my goals to be to give a natural birth in a hospital setting. After telling my amazing obgyn my birth plan she recommended I look into hiring a doula. I have never heard of a doula before so I started my research and decided that was a great idea. I interviewed a few doulas and last I met with Bree.

I can not put into words how much Bree helped me achieve my goal. From the day I met her I knew she was the one I wanted as my doula. Bree was exactly what I needed. She not only helped me throughout my pregnancy but also helped my husband. My husband was more involved and had more of an understanding of my pregnancy and labor because of Bree. Bree was always available for me. All my first time mom questions I had no matter the time or date. She was there from beginning to end of my labor. I truly believe that my labor would have not been as magical and happy if we didn't have Bree next to us. We are forever grateful for her.
